EB productions launcher - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Hi guys. I wanna know if there's a way to stop the eb production launcher from updating. Originally its like a blue stock android launcher. But with the update, it turns into the stock gingerbread launcher. I uninstall the updates, but it always keeps on updating itself. So is there a way to make it stop auto updating?

You should still be able to search for it in the market to disable auto update... You can also use titanium backup to change the auto updates for all apps (user and system)

[Q] Backing up apps in Android

Hey guys.
First of all, I own a Moto Milestone.
So I'm on stock 2.1 and I want to install a custom ROM which means wiping everything.
Now, I know how to back up my apps but once I reinstall them how do I make them appear in "downloads" so I could get updates? (I'll be using File Manager from the appstore to back up apps)
Thing is I have a lot of paid apps. Will my google account remember that I payed for the and let me redownload them?
Anyone?

Installing new Android Market

I searched but couldn't find a thread. So can someone tell me how to install the new Android Market on my unrooted Evo?

I am on MIUI, and to my knowledge they didn't have the latest version in their recent release. Last night I believe mine updated automatically. I could be wrong, but I personally didn't manually update anything. I woke up this morning and it was updated to the most recent version. You may turn on your autosync and everything to see if it does it automatically.
If you have the apk. Uninstall any market updates from settings and use adb to push the new apk to /system/app/Vending.apk. this will overwrite your original vending apk so you might want to back it up first.

It's the data that makes some apps run or make them snappy the way they are.

You're making it harder on yourself. Do a full titaniumbackup and then use my debloater. If/when you need the app again do a titanium restore for that app. Much easier than freezing by hand.
ok...
can u just give me a list of the apps to remove?
anyway i just wanna remove those BACKROUND RUNNING APPS
I agree with FB backup->debloat-> enjoy lol
Look at a rom in the development section called SimplySimple he has a bunch of apps removed and he lists them that might help you know which apps are ok to remove

I use Gemini App Manager. It shows you which apps have "autorun" code in them and you can selectively kill the "autorun" codes you want.
Nice

You should still debloat. And help us keep the forum from getting bloated. Your post today could have gone in your previous thread. And consider hitting thanks.
If you want a list of apps you can safely remove try this.
Debloat. You have no idea how much ram will free up. Just do not get rid of Visual Voicemail. You already have a copy of the rom you downloaded- just unzip it, look in the system folder, and there will be all of the apks that come with the rom. If you want those apps back, simply load them on your sd card, and push them using a program similar to root explorer back into the system folder that they were originally located.
If your running Valhalla Black, don't get rid of Amazon Mp3.
I make the mistakes so you don't have to
Why not Amazon mp3?

At first it caused a process related to it to keep bringing up a force close message. The only way to remove it was by removing that process.
Here's the catch- once you remove that process, a process called com.android.xxxx (can't remember), starts force closing, which in turn resets your phone. I was also loosing my signal randomly.
I also had flashed other roms before. It could be some part of my phone was corrupted. I couldn't get a log because quite frankly, I needed a phone that worked again. I would just be safe and leave it alone.
The debloater is completely safe though- just don't get rid of visual voicemail.
I froze the amazon mp3, but all is well

That's the difference. I deleted it completely. Good to know it worked.

Verizon Software Update Coming In! Can't Stop!

I'm having a problem with the first Verizon update. I have a rooted, unlocked GS3 running the stock ROM only slightly modified. I thought I had FWUpgrade frozen, but apparently not. I do not have the purchased version of TiB and I used multiple apps to try to freeze the system app. I thought it was a success, but obviously not. Now everytime I turn my phone on I am seeing what is shown in the first attachment. The second attachment is showing what TiB shows when I look at FWUpgrade. I don't know what to do and need some help on what plan of action to take! What are my options? I've been wanting to flash a custom ROM and considering most of those have FWUpgrade already frozen that would solve my issue... Thanks for the help!

Thanks so much for the fast reply!!! I do not have the paid version of TiB, so I just disabled it with Root Uninstaller and now it shows up as frozen in both RU and Ti. After taking it off of airplane mode, the update is no longer showing up!!! :good: Thanks again for the quick reply!!! You saved the day as far as I'm concerned!
No worries. Glad to help when I can.
