I tried the flashable .zip file of the ICS boot animation posted on Android Police, and also tried moving the bootanimation.zip to /system/media, but its doesn't seem to work. On top of that, I am now stuck with the plain old "Android" splash screen.
If anyone has successfully installed it, can you let me know what you did? Can you point me to where you got the file you used? Thanks.
Are you on MIUI or Oxygen?

Good evening all,
found this cool boot animation how would i go about loading it? i'm not gonna use the sound that comes with it.. I'm rooted using myns rom installed lastnight do i just drag the zip file onto sdcard then reboot and flash from zip?
How can I get the stock splash screen back? I flashed trinity kernel and it shows the google and the unlocked lock and then shows trinity's weird looking image and then my boot animation.
Is there a flashable or something i can do to get it back?
I've searched here and google and came up with nothing..
If you have Root Explorer app or other file management, set to Mount R/O (if applicable), copy the attachment to system/media/ (which will probably ask you to overwrite the current bootanimation.zip), and reboot.

So this will give me a stock splash screen and boot animation?
you can also check theme section for other cool boot animations too
This will give you the stock boot animation. The only way to change the splash screen logo is to compile the kernel from source.

You cannot change Trinity's der kernel logo unless you compile the kernel with a logo of your preference (boot.img). However, you can change the bootanimation (Trinity with green Earth logo) to a stock splashing logo.
Unfortunately, you would have to use different kernel (e.g. Netarchy, Matr1x, or Lucid) if you would like to not have Trinity der Kernel logo. But you can still change the boot animation.
Hey, Trinity is a great kernel though
That's what I did. I use CM7.1 bootanimation with CM7.1 Nightly ROM and Trinity kernel
Hay all. I'm kinda new at this but I'm using a galaxy j7 j700t1 with root and the cwm recovery. I've been trying to flash a custom boot animation zip using the boot animation app but I can never find the files. I fallow the paths directly but nothing shows up in the folders where the zip is supposed to be. Ive tried it through the boot animation app flashify and flashfire. Home seem to be able to find the files. Am I doing something wrong? I am still somewhat a noob at this.
Just change the theme of the phone in youre theme section and select boot animation also then apply it. Theres like millions of themes so you should find one in the phones built in theme store..
I'm not seeing a boot animation option.
Hi All
I m using nexus 5(Marshmallow v6.1). Well, i was trying to change my boot animation, I downloaded and installed a corrupted one. So, when i rebooted, the phone shows ANDROID like always, but after, a black screen appears and stays forever. I can access recovery, and the phone is rooted. No backup. I deleted the corrupted bootanimation.zip file under System\Media folder and rename it's original name (bootanimation.zip) through recovery mode TWRP. But stuck again in same place in boot animation after reboot and can't go inside. Could you please tell me anyone how to fix it because i don't want to reset or wipe the data it or install another ROM, unless necessary.
Thanks

Hello,
You can download and push the correct bootanimation via TWRP to system/media.

I'm currently running a Note 3, which i installed with echoeromv22 and have rooted. I made my very own boot animation (its pretty cool) but its refusing to install under any circumstance! I've tried replacing the system/media file, I've put it in data/local, I used the boot animations app, (2 of them) and I've tried installing it with TWRP recovery. While all of these should be working on paper, for some reason the boot animation hasnt changed at all. Have i overlooked something? Help???
