[Q] MIUI Sync Problem - General Questions and Answers

Hey there,
today I flashed MIUI 1.10.8, thought I could give it a shot.
Runs really fine except for one thing: I can't figure how to add my google-acc to miui for contact/calendar sync.
Going [Settings > Personal > Accounts & Sync Settings] shows me that no accounts have been added yet. So I go on to [Add account] which leads me to this "Xiaomi Passport" thing, entering my google login here only leads to error messages (ss like "Username and password not matching" bla).
What am I doing wrong? Can't find any other login possibilities.
Guess something is wrong cuz under [Calendar -> Accounts] I get a white screen with the title "Add an account". No controls at all, just a blank screen.
Searching the forum/google did not help much.

How do I default Outlook?

Firstly, I don't use Outlook. I never sync my device with any computer, so I never needed it. All my email accounts were setup through the 'Setup Email' option under messaging.
Today, I was troubleshooting a co-worker's phone and, in my experimentation, setup Outlook on my device with her account settings. I didn't think twice about it and now I can't clear the setting from my device! When I go to messaging, Outlook no longer shows up (It just shows 'Messages', my work email, my gmail accounts and 'Setup E-mail'). When I go to 'Menu'->'Tools'->'Options...', Outlook shows up there, but I can't delete it. When I go into it, I can't clear the domain because it greys out 'Next.' On the next screen, I can't remove her username as that entire box is greyed out!
Please help! I don't want to do a hard reset!

Odd bugs - anyone else?

I have seen these 2 bugs - and wanted to see if anyone else had:
1. System volume resetting itself - I have mine off as the key tap and start up sounds are too loud. Even at the lowest setting the key tap is still way to loud.
The problem is it turns itself back on. I thought maybe i hit a stray box or it was the Google nav software, but nope, it turned on by itself - or i don't know what did it.
2. Email complete corruption - I went to check my email - notification said i had a new message on exchange. I clicked the notification, and email popped up asking me to set up a new account. My contacts and calendar were there, but i could not get passed the new account screen to get to my Exchange or POP3 account - a reboot did not help. I set up a bogus new account, but taht is the only one that showed up in the email app. My original Exchange account was still listed, but it had the bogus new name.
I wound up deleting Exchange and the new bogus pop account, and re-adding exchange and pop3.
Really bizarre. I am running the stock firmware with Root. Only other mod is to enable side load.

[Q] Droid Android 2.2 FRG22D Exchange Problem

I was not sure where to post this thread so if this is not the right place, sorry.
After manual update from Android 2.2 FRG01B to FRG22D downloaded from droid-life the Email app crashes when trying to setup corporate Exchange(2010) account:
"The application Email(process com.google.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Options it gives are to "Force close" or "Report".
Steps Taken:
1. Tried to begin by both selecting the yellow mail icon and also going to settings, Accounts & sync, Add account.
2. Then input my username and password.
3. Have selected both Manual and Next button both taking me to input server information.
4. Input server information, double/triple checked with IT for correct input.
5. Use secure connection (SSL) is selected.
6. Tried both selected and unselected for Accept all SSL certificates.
7. Select Next button.
8. Get screen with progress bar that says Checking for Incoming Server Settings that runs for a couple seconds.
9. This is where it crashes....
Anyone else have this issue or knowledge about this?

I have the same problem after getting to over the air upgrade to FRG22D from Verizon this morning.

Hi, I also have this issue. Hopefully someone has had some luck.
I have a droid 1 on 2.2.
For reference, several other of my coworkers have successfully set up their hd2, droid x, and droid 1 phones to work with our exchange, so I know my settings are good.

[Q] Sync Bookmark Problem!!

Hi guys, I'm having problem Syncing Bookmark between my GTab 7.7 P6800 with SkyHigh 3.6 and Chrome for Windows.
The tab just can't sync it, and it's quite annoying... The fact is that sync bookmarks works like a charm with Chrome for Android, but nothing at all with the stock browser... I would use chrome, but I really need flash for browsing
I checked on settings/account and sync/google account and i found the source of the problem: it seems that the sync function has stop working, in fact there's a "sync is currently experiencing problems. it will be back shortly". But the "shortly" has last a moth now!!!
I've tried to delete the google account and log in again, but still not working... So I tought it was a chrome for windows problem, I whent to google dashboard and deleted the sync setting from there... but still not working.
The problem occur even with my Galaxy Nexus!!!
So I'm guessing that the problem is not on the GTab, but in my google account...
This is simple to fix.
Go to your sync settings page. Click on menu button and select "remove account".
Then go back, and "add account".
So basically you need to remove your account, then re-sign-in.

Google Sync Problems

Hey guys, I have been experiencing a problem since yesterday: Although syncing is activated (I tripple checked!) my google account does not sync anymore as long as I use mobile data (other apps like google chrome are able to use mobile data, however, so I am able to surf the internet). This also means that I don't get any emails in push from my gmail account. As soon as I switch to WI-FI, syncing works flawlessly, emails are pushed without any delay. Manual syncing works (pulling down in the gmail app or via the options in the google account settings on the phone).
Another weird thing is the signal status icon. When using WI-FI it is white, as soon as I switch to mobile data, it turns orange (I'm using nova launcher).
So I decided to completly wipe the phone and then reinstalled CM 11s 33R which I downloaded directly from the CM-page. I reinstalled all the apps afresh which means I don't think I carried any wrong settings from my last ROM over to the newly installed one.
Anybody got an idea what the reason could be that there is no syncing anymore and how I can resolve this?

im facing the same problem since yesterday morning. I've recognized the exact same issues with the same situation.
As long as im in WLAN all is good. As soon as i am on mobile-data network push is not working anymore. I has been working before fine, but till yesterday it stopped. I didnt change anything in the configuration.
Very strange. I would be very happy if anybody has a glue on how to fix that.
I've also made twice a reset (once per TWRP, and another reset with android reset function) but both didnt help to get rid of that problem.

Push and sync works again with my device. Also, the orange color in the Signal Status is gone and it is White again.
Found something in the OPO-Forum (thanks to gabriel3714):
Go to:
google.com /Settings /security
under section "account permissions" find "apps and websites" and click "view all" then try and revoke access to you OPO and any other items that shouldn't be there. Then restart your phone.
If anybody still has Troubles, here are some other things to try which were sent to me in an email by Matt Oli:
If Sync isn't working when you're using your data, here are a few things to check for:
•Make sure that Background data is enabled◦Phone settings> Data Usage> Scroll down to Gmail and make sure that "Restrict background data" is not selected.
•Disable Power saving mode
•Clear your App's cache and data◦Open Phone settings> Select Application manager> Swipe to "All"> Choose Gmail> Clear cache and data
•Limit your folder size◦Open Gmail via a desktop> Settings> Forwarding and POP/IMAP> Next to "IMAP access" select "Limit folder size"
•Try Unsyncing your Gmail account temporarily. Try this a few times.◦Settings> Accounts> Google> Select your account> Uncheck Gmail> Check Gmail
•Resetting IMAP◦Gmail> Settings> POP/IMAP> Disable POP & IMAP> Save Settings> Re-enable IMAP> Save Settings
•Remove Gmail Account and setup again◦Phone Setting> Accounts> Google> Select you email account> "Remove account"
◦Re-establish account.
Solution to your problem
Hi, I had same issue.
Go to Keep website. Remove all shared notes. (Delete them, Don't Archive). Go back to Keep on Android. Clear data from Settings -> App -> Keep and launch app again.
Problem solved.
Hi im facing an issue with google sync, im not able to get the game data sync option in google sync. i have updated google play services,play store..and also play games. kindly help me if know any solution.
I am currently running on cm11 rc3...it was working before..now its not...
