So I have been using this phone the last day or. Two and just noticed this. There what appear to be a couple black dots under the glass of the screen not sure if they are dead pixels or if it's dust or what the hell it is. Anyone have a clue and if there's anything I can do about it? I also did buy this phone used I dunno if that limits my Options.

if a pixel is dead would it be black? what if one pixel is blue? That's what wrong with my phone, there is a tiny blue dot on my screen it annoys the **** out of me when the screen is black,
is there anyway to fix that? or would i have to return it?

I had exactly the same, tried to make phone S-on to return and bricked it so def had to go back. swapped it for another one and its fine. Dead pixel can be any colour, mine was blue too, and yes it is annoying. if its under warenty id try and make it sound worse for them to swap it if its quite new. good luck!
oh btw there is no way to fix a dead pixel.

I've had my sensation for about a week now and have noticed that if I press down a touch harder than usual on the screen I get what I can only describe as ink blots - like when you poke a laptop screen.
Is this expected for the sensation? I know e.g. blackberries have this, but my hero and girlfriend's desire Hd do not.
I also had green lines across my camera today but that was fixed by a reboot. Could it be related?
I've tried searching the forum but as I don't know the technical name I might have missed something!

Yeah I'm picky like that too. I figure if this is a next gen £400 phone it should be of the highest quality.
So I'm guessing it's not a prevalent issue and my sensation is faulty? Now I've rooted it and installed leedroid does anyone know if this affects the warranty?

I have noticed at the top of my screen in the notification bar clock there's a 1 to 2 mm line of black no matter what's on the screen colour wise. I have turned the screen off and put it under a bright light and found no dust evidence. So it must be dead pixels, Is there nothing I can do about this? Will it get worse over time?

Never noticed such an issue. But it could be a stuck pixels instead of a dead pixels.
Search for "Dead Pixel Detect and Fix"-App it could fix your problem.
(sry can't give you a external link, cuz it's my first post )

Hm sorry for you.
Are you using stock or a custom ROM ?
If so maybe give it a shot on an other ROM ?
Try looking at those pixels with full screen images of single colours at full brightness. If you don't find anything wrong around the pixels then there isn't anything wrong.

Tried that with 4 different colours and it stayed the same, every thing else on the screen is fine apart from a 1 to 2 mm black line just above the time above the time in the top right hand side of the screen.

I think dead pixels tend to get worse over time. That was the reason why I sent it back in the first place. I don't think this kind of delay is norm. I was told that they were missing a part and they had to wait for it to come from abroad, hence the delay.
What to do with a phone I got of eBay and have branded from Orange to stock sin free. Do you think they will honors the hardware warranties.

They should honor the warranty, I had a phone bought from Mobicity in Australia and then I moved to Croatia. After a couple of months I had a dust issue and I sent a e-mail to the authorised servise in Croatia and they checked the IMEI if it is covered. I also dod S-ON and flashed an Asian RUU just to be safe.
I have a green dead pixel near the top left had it since day one :/

Yes it will work - the phones are exactly the same.
No it will not work the antenna points don't match... physically it will fit but you'll have little to no reception

It WILL work, even without the extra connector. A lot of people even reported better signal (at least for the white cover)

I just got my replacement sensation 4g and it is like 2 little dots of light that like idk seep through the screen. Its really not on the screen thqt you touch its on the bottom left corner next to the home button. It is kind of annoying when I take my case off and see them but maybe I will get used to it idk. Would you take yours back for this? I also am having my htc sense keep crashing and my phone randomly reboot itself. On T-Mobile chat they say it is an app causing this and not the phone because they fixed that problem with the last update and want me to delete some apps off my phone to see which app is causing it. Anybody else having those issues?

Hi. Yes you sure can buy a new back cover that includes volume buttons. Actually you can get them quite inexpensive online. Search Amazon or EBay and you will find them. I got one for my device. I believe it was around 7 dollars. Hope this is helpful! Best wishes.

I buy everything from ebay for my Htc. Never had problems. The back covers are cheap. It may be not OEM but always fits. OEM parts are expensive.
They're pretty cheap on Ebay. Mine cost me like $20

But hardware wise the Sensation, Sensation 4G, and Sensation XE are all the same thing.

As a matter of fact the phones are the same. The XE is nothing more then a boost in hardware and software with a touch of Beats. If you read the test the normal Sensation is under clocked ( if I say it right)
I have Elegncia ROM wich is powered with Beats so I ordered the white XE backcover with Beats logo for my Sensation.
Sure they are the same. Idk who wrote that connectors are in different place, why would somebody produce white cases with different connectors that don't fit..

Because they did.
Choose to not believe it all you want. But dont come crying when it doesnt work properly.
The white cover has less connector pins or something. So the signal is affected greatly on some networks.
