[Theme CDMA Hero] HelloMoto?!

Yo guys
Finally its done my CDMA Hero Theme, i made it for the HTC Hero but as a request i made it for the CDMA Hero.

BTW i dont have a CDMA hero so be careful! And tell me how it works out!

Symlink errors on a theme? Odd. I'm going to grab it and check out his update script.
Edit: Yea, the update script included with this theme is a full on script required for a rom. I could redo the script and resign it but I'm sure mikey will fix it.
In the mean time you can easily use my pre-kitchen (check my sig) to install it because it doesn't require a valid signature or update script on the theme installer. I'm not making any promises that his theme works on the CDMA phone, he also warned the same thing. But you can try it with the theme installer in the pre-kitchen.

Yea, it should be. The text is controlled by Rosie and is just overlayed on top of the images. His screen shots just aren't because his phone isn't.

going to try to flash it from the fresh kitchen and post results..

froze phone in kitchen(htc screen), this theme is too hard to get on your phone

then it reboots normally, with my old theme still here. weird

Are you using the 0.1b update for the kitchen? That should fix that issue. Trying not to threadjack.

i hangs at htc screen after kitchen install and i have the 0.1b patch

From the screenies it looks like most (if not all) of the work is in Rosie, and porting is easy. I can take a crack at this if you like, it looks really straightforward to me.
But tomorow, or I'll have an unhappy wife.

From UOT: WORKAROUND for recovery error (Status 0):
1. Unzip your ROM and find
META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary file
2. Put this file in the UOT zip (overriding UOT's file)

Yes, same problem here. I had to manually substitute framework.res via rootexplorer, very annoying.

I've tried to install my kitchen file about a dozen times into my Gtablet. I've tried all the workarounds, but nothing, just the same silly error (Status 0) Installation Aborted. My UOT file is UOT-10-06-13-43-1. Not sure what is wrong. I'm using this ROM located here. Any assistance would be great. Thanks in advance.

I am also having trouble installing my kitchen file. I have a samsung dart t499 with stock rom, rooted. my UOT file is UOT-04-09-01-09-2. i get the status 0 error. i cannot find any meta-inf folders in the stock rom i downloaded from http://205.196.123.65/sjhpiwj80qcg/4pqf2lphfy4mi37/SGH-T499_TMB_1_20110513101117.zip

Its my first try, so dont hit me down if your phone stocks in a bootloop.
Ways to recover it:
Flash stock image .42 .62 or any other via flashtool
Use WotanClient to flash it to stock rom!
Make a NAND BackUp for the safety
I cant make screenshots because my Play is in Service since 2 weeks
Tell me please if it works and make screenshots!

Wrong it needs to be:
/system-->media-->files
/system-->fonst-->files
You have to manually target them.

hello, I'm glad someone spend time with our old HTC Magic, now my HTC Magic is more alive than ever.
I can not install, the following error appears:
SINTAX ERROR!!! aroma-config on line 15 col 1

I have a 32A Magic/Sapphire and I want to help testing this ROM, is it working at all for 32A? or do you want to know the errors it makes when installing?

I just made a mistake in the script, correcting right now

I can't install this rom on my Magic 32A because the aroma touch screen doesn't work and so I can't check the license agreement of aroma.
I have the latest recovery for Magic 1.7.0.1 but no touch screen possibility...
Anyone got help?

Oh and try toggling signature verification.

Error at line 15 col 1? I'll have a look at aroma now, it doesn't seem too hard to use in ROMs after all
Btw does it boot, are things working? If not, are they kernel related or something else?

To fix install errors, unzip the attatched file and replace the Meta-inf folder in the rom and replace it with the attached one

i am using the RA-1.7.0 recovery does that matter?

You need CWM recovery in order to install.

My laptops playing up so you'll have to wait for another fix, but you could try fixing it yourself with notepad++, just go into the meta-inf folder and find aroma-config, look for the line 199 column 10 (which is the error), and trying changing it
otherwise wait patiently

Hey guys,I am a starter in Galaxy Fit development(sry to be noobish).I used a stock 2.3.6 dxkt7 rom and built a custom rom without any changes to the apks or anyother things even the bootanimation but when i try to install the rom i get status 0 error.I read what a status 0 error is but not able to rectify it can someone pls help.Thanks in advance

hmm.. have you changed something in the Uppdate-Binary?

Use this recovery. Still facing problem then copy meta-inf folder from any custom rom for fit

no didnt make any changes to anything just extracted system.rfs and boot.img using kitchen made the system and boot.img files and added superuser and bulit the rom thatz all the edits i did

yes this ver of cwm only am using too :cyclops: yes and i tried meta inf of others but that aso not working(used razordroid,jana rom,hyperdroid,creed's rom-meta inf files)....others meta infs wont work bcoz the stock works on ext4 i think :crying:

can anyone give the updater-script of a stock rom that has root function only pls

do this zip aliign evertyhing add busybox via kitche(deodex if you want to)
then copy all the files from working folder to folder x
pick up meta inf and boot.img from any custom rom and copy it to folder x zip it via winzip or any other soft and flash the zip ....

The android kitchen auto generated a update-binary that did not match my mobile that was why i encoutered this issue thanks a lot mate

thats because kitchen converst update script into edify and other crap
