Hey I am new to this site so I guess I am considered a Noob. I will be careful to watch out for stepping on the grass..
I am developing a new docking station for the Samsung Galaxy SII and am looking for the Pin outs for this bad boy. I tried to approach Samsung about a Developers group but after an hour on hold they told me to look here.
I know Apple products need to go thru the MFI Program and get approved prior to accessign information is that the Same with Android products?
Can anyone help this Nooobe?

Okay, so I have this idea I have been toying with. I want to get a new phone but there are other things I would like to get as well. Among these other things is a laptop and something to make it more convenient to make art. I am on a tight budget at the moment and because of this, I can't get everything all at once.
Because of its artistic capabilities, the Samsung's Note series have appealed to me. The interesting question is, with the creation of the Galaxy Note 10.1 and it's new ability to have multiple screen capabilities, I could in theory get the 3g version of the 10.1 and I would basically have a phone, a laptop, and something I could draw with. I would however have to lug around a tablet everywhere I go and will be forced to use a bluetooth device or earbuds to talk to people.
However, I visited the Microsoft store nearby and was impressed by their Surface RTs. I asked around and found out the new and upcoming Surface Pros will have a wacom digitizer in it. Along with this, it will also be able to run windows 7 programs as if it were a computer. This, however, is theorized to be released in January.
So here are the combinations I have been thinking about:
1
Galaxy Note 2
Laptop (I would be getting this much later)
2
Galaxy Note 10.1 3g
3
Galaxy Note 10.1 Wifi
Cheap phone
4
Surface Pro
Cheap phone
Basically, the big question is, will using a tablet as a phone be inconvenient enough to outweigh the benefit of consolidating all of your devices into one device. If I do, I would have to carry the tablet in a backpack or something else everywhere I go, including if I decided to go to a run at the store or dinner at some restaurant.
I also have a cheap dumb phone that I have temporarily until I get a replacement. I could just use thit as my main phone just for calls and just use a wifi tablet for all of my "smart phone" needs; I personally think it is extremely redundant and pointless to have a powerful smartphone and a tablet at the same time.
So, should I just use the traditional phone and laptop? Is using a the 3g galaxy note 10.1 too inconvenient to use a phone and an all in 1 device? Should I just use my current dumb phone and just get the wifi galaxy note 10.1? Or should I wait for Microsoft's Surface Pro and just use the dumb phone as my calls?
What are all of your thought?

I've got a printer on order already actually
I also contacted samsung to see if we could get a 3d model of the phone but here is what I got:
Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you are requesting for the 3D form factor specification of the Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G from T-Mobile.
Samsung can only provide information that is readily available on our websites. We can also provide troubleshooting information for this phone. Your inquiry about the phone's 3D form factor specification is considered proprietary and confidential. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may present.
So pretty much we are on our own. Lucky for us the phone is easy to model. I plan on finally making a dock for this phone now. I actually have a few plans for mounts and such for this phone. Only crappy part is I still have about 7 weeks of waiting
Update!
Well I got my printer but of course it has a faulty hot end.... I ship it back tomorrow to get replaced but I should be up in another two weeks or so. Here is one of my stands Thingiverse link that actually holds the usb cord in place. I'm planning on a few different ones, just been low on time lately with the new job and cleaning out the garage

Hello, esteemed xdadevelopers, xdausers and other various xdamembers.
I've been on the lookout for a new phone (as in fresh new, not second-hand new, like my few past devices). I don't need a fancy top-of-the-line phone, but i'm looking for a decend phone that'll last me at least a year, preferably two, so an active modding/developer community for the particular phone model is a big plus, 'cause i don't like to be stuck on stock forever. I'll be picking it up from a local cell phone operator, so the supply of different models is quite limited here, they mostly have samsung devices and a few other manufacturer devices.
So far i've managed to narrow the list down to three devices:
Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100)
Samsung Galaxy S II Plus (I9105P)
LG optimus L9 (P760)
I seriously can't decide on which is the one for me. S2 has established a great and very active community, which results in a very high likelyhood of getting some nice new ROMs for the foreseeable future, whereas S2+ is a new device which may (or may not, knowing Samsung) receive some software love from the manufacturer, but it doesn't even have it's own forum section yet. L9, on the other hand, is a worthy runner-up and is down-right beautiful phone to me (also has the biggest battery, which is always a bonus).
Please, post your opinion on the above devices, input from their respective owners is highly appreciated! And yes, i intend to at least root it right away, slap on some custom rom if possible (you can suggest some of your favourite rooms along the way). While I'm not interested in other suggestions, such as SIII, SIII mini (those are fugly to me, no offence) or random chinese crap, you can try to advocate for a device of your choice if it has similar specs and/or is in the same price range as the above devices, but, above all, i prefer devices with as low roundness as possible. Chocolate bars ftw, soap bars suck.
p.s. nexus 4 is not available at my country, nor i'd be able to buy one any time soon.
Thank you for your time.
update [08/04]: i picked up a shiney new SII.
Now a exposure-like sound appeared in S.Korea.
A man who introducing himself who was ex-3rdparty-worker of Samsung said
Samsung has been manufactured their new Galaxy smartphone with remanufactured screen in S.Korea.
Samsung refuted via Samsung tomorrow(official Samsung's advertision blog) immediately now. (now the time in S.Korea is about 10 p.m.)

What you need to concern more is that no one can sure how many Galaxies are belonged from when.
Maybe my Note 3? So ddizy
Can Samsung Galaxy S6 run an external 2560x1440p monitor using some sort of cable?
wow I just some research and found out that S6 doesnt even have the standard MHL capability that all previous S series had at least since S3! What a shame Samsung. Anything else you forgot to take out of this POS phone I just bought? Deceptive marketing.
