Here are a few splash screens I put together, figured I'd post them for anyone that is interested. I will no longer be taking requests as my time obligations have changed, and I am going to be focusing on boot animations and learning to theme. Also if you enjoy changing the look of your phone, applying mods, themes, etc. I encourage you to jump in to the android world and begin making your own creations. To use these splash screens;
download to root of sd (not in any folders),
change name to "PC36IMG" (no quotes),
boot into boot loader, select up to apply.

Yea it works on any rom, just transfer it to the root of your SD card, then press and hold the file till an option menu pops up, scroll down to rename, rename it PC36IMG (case sensitive), power your phone off, while holding down the volume down button press and hold the power button untill the bootloader screen pops up. Then select volume up for yes to flash the PC36IMG file. When its done it will ask if you wish to reboot, select volume up for yes, enjoy new splash screen.
And no problem on the LSU, probably be sometime tomorrow and I'll post one for ya.

I'll design stuff for you.
Come up with a good idea for a wallpaper or splash and submit it.
If it seems interesting, I'll probably do it!
I'll try to do something totally unique for every request, but sometimes that isn't possible. Sometimes I'll design the wallpaper/splash myself, or I'll modify another stock image. If you want a branded product or character i.e. Coke, sports team, Spiderman, etc, I will probably use Google to find a suitable starting point.

How to Install my Splash screens:
[MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!!!!]
1) Place .zip file on the root of your SD card.
2) Turn your phone off.
3) Boot into fastboot by pressing the POWER button + VOLUME DOWN button at the same time.
4) Wait for it to find the file. It will ask you if you want to flash this file. Press VOLUME UP to continue.
5) Let it flash your new splash screen. When it's done, simply choose the option to reboot and you'll see your new splash!

Nice work on the animation, but here comes the not so good part. As a father of a handicapped child I think you could have choose some different wording. But other than that great job on your work.

Update: Tried it on my EVO running Myn 2point2. Looks SWEET.
I moved the file to the system>customize>resource folder though.
Attaching a flashable zip (updater) if anyone needs it.
Just so everyone knows, the quote is originally from Catcher in the Rye. And the rest of the quote, to paraphrase, is "that way, people would have to pass me notes on slips of paper, and I wouldn't have to talk to people."
The quote is a coping mechanism for the lead character.

Animation looks good, but I think one small change could make it a little better. With the Text scrolling clockwise, to read it your eyes have to play "Catch-up" with the movement. If it would be possible to reverse the text scrolling, it may be a little easier on the eyes. Just an opinion.

The way its playing is exactly how it did in the show. But I made a reverse of the animation if you want it. Just rename to bootanimation.zip and adb push to proper location.

If its a flashable zip then just flash it like you would a rom through recovery.
Else you would need to use adb.
I dig the animation, but is there any way to make a little faster/smoother? It just seems a bit slow and laggy when booting up.
Just nitpicking though, great job OP!

Im using the ggingerbbread-6, i think its based on CM-6? but has the alpho fix for the WiMax...
Hello there good folks there at XDA. These are a couple lockring themes that i did for Agile Lock free. This is my first experience at theming, and so there may be some rough little edges. The apk's themselves are clean, it's my editing technique that is bad. I will support this for awhile, so as I get better, i will edit them, and post updates. If anyone can give me constructive criticism, I would welcome it. I would like to thank, and give credit where it is due.

Alright, all you have to do is download the apk's from my dropbox account, and install them. If you don''t like it, uninstall it. I would recommend uninstalling before you install another one. I have tested them all, and flashed them over each other many times, and my phone started lagging.(lol) All i ask is for your comments, no donations, or thanks buttons. If you do decide to try to get the free points to upgrade, then remember that some of those chinese apps have been reported to have viruses so don't enter your info in the actual chinese apps.
The only error i may have committed in the uploads is confusing the Lil Wayne photos, and apk files. If i did, just uninstall, and install the other. Hopefully Enjoy....
Edit So if you do decide to download the apps, you can get the full version modded. If you look at the icons, they are the same as some of the apps we have in market. Maxethon, Opera, and some others. Just be smart as to which you download, and you will be alright.

I can scale it to what size I need, the better the image, the better the finished product. To answer your question though, 270x270 is what the image ends up being. Though circular images take alto less editing. ;p

What are you using to re-sign your apk if you don't mind me asking? I use signapktic
I just used apk edit, and let it do the work, no need TP resign....

cool thanks. Been learning to theme and swapping out images is about all I'm successful at lol wasn't sure if you had to re sign it since it was an apk.

I did. The full version is just the free version plus a "key" that is placed on your sd card if I'm not mistaken. Basically it worked fine for me.. Of course, I backed up my full version with Titanium just to be on the safe side
Must be doing something wrong because I uninstall my payed version then install free and then payed and I still have 2 and can't change my shortcuts on your cool ring version.

Here's what I did. I backed up my paid version with titanium, then installed the new apk letting it replace my existing one. Worked that way
Trailblazer101's Modified "Return to Call" Screen
What this Mod Does:
Completely revamps the "Return to Call" screen (aka The ticker screen you see when you navigate out of the "In Call" Phone screen).
Basically, I changed that screen into a two button screen; one button is the original "Return To Call" button, and the second one "Ends the Call."
These buttons are just that, buttons... As in, it changes color (blue) when you click it These buttons are of the same theme as the "Incoming Call" Ticker Screen Buttons, so that everything matches up nicely...
My Favorite New Feature:
You can Hang up with someone without exiting your favorite full screen game, or wasting your battery with turning on the full screen!
I spent a lot of time working on this, guys... I know it doesn't seem like much, but this mod was created from scratch... I had to rewrite the layout, make the images, and everything else... I also had to modify the Services.jar to accept this mod, which wasn't fun That took the most time, because there is a lot going on in the background that I had to accompany for...

I decided to go along with other developers work and turn to something a little different than just the files I modified... I would be perfectly okay with just supplying those, and you copying them in, but once you know how to work this new source format you will learn to like it I promise
All of the *.patch files are just notepad text files, with that extension to differentiate between the patches and the real files. You might be a little confused when first looking at the patch, but don't fret! Here is a brief rundown:
Any line before the "<" and ">" are just letting you know where you are at...
"<" = You remove that/those lines...
">" = You add in that/those lines...
This is special, because now you just aren't copying in my final versions of the files over into your decompiled source; you can actually see/learn what had to be done in order to make this mod, and let you learn/participate in the process.. This is also important, because you can use these files as a base line, and port this over to future/previous builds yourselves, because there might be differences in the decompiled source and just my edited *.smali/*.xml files that would cause major/unbootable errors!
Like I said though, I can just give you the files, but I don't really want to... This way, everyone who told me that they wanted to learn some things that I know, can!

do you mind sharing specifically what files you have modified/changed? i only ask because i would like to include this, however i am working on some tweeks of my own in the services.jar and framework-res and would find it easier to simple swap the smali files from one framework to another
This looks awesome, but is there any way to get this mod without all the other mods? I've been mod-free and my phone has never run better. I was thinking of taking the plunge with this mod until I read it includes all the mods I have avoided putting back on my phone.

No go on my end. Flashed through cwm and my phone would not boot up. boot animation showed and then it shut itself off and wouldn't come back on until I pulled the battery.

1.) download to root of your sd card,
2.) change name to "PC36IMG" (without the quotes),
3.) boot into boot loader (turn off, volume down + power)
4.) The phone should recognize the zip and ask if you want to update
5.) select up to apply.
** flash this to go back to stock Splash Screen (White with black letters) **

Okay - they are up at the beginning of post #1. Hope you enjoy them - still more to come! I tried a new technique this time on a few of these - colorizing the whole person and leaving the background in black and white - let me know what you think.
I am also going to combine my other splash screen thread with this one to reduce clutter.
