[Q] Bluetooth Audio Streaming in my car - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
following happens when i connect my Phone (DHD with ARHD 6.1.1 by mike1986) via Bluetooth to my car navigation system.
The car ist an SEAT Leon 2011 with MediaSystem 2.2.
1. every 2-3 minutes the volume goes down for a second an then come back.
2. Since update to version ARHD 6.* the music stream does not start automaticly when i start the connection and i could not use the Multifunction Steering of the car to get next track or play forwards. With the 5.* version of ARHD everything works fine.
Is there anybody with the same problem and how can i fix that?

up

[Q] Google Navigation Over Bluetooth Car Kit

Trying to to get Google Navigation voice instructions to come through my bluetooth car kit but no joy - Phone is paired with the kit and phone calls come through the kit great ..... Am I missing a setting somewhere in the Car Panel settings I have car kit options as follows: Aito Connect ON and the car kit is selcted as the deault device ...
won't work if the car radio offers just the headset protocol. a2pd must be supported too soll all sounds from the droid will be relayed, like to normal headphones.
Thanks, how can I check if the car kit supports a2pd ??
Ok just checked a bit more about the car kit, it's supposed to sream stereo music so I'm assuming that means it supports A2PD ??
it should. when you connected, go to the bluetooth settings, find the car radio, long tap on it and look in the options if there are 2 checkmarks. 1 is for using as headset, second for media. make sure both are checked, that should do it.
Hello, you should need to put your car kit into audio stream mode... I've got Pioneer radio with BT and when I want to listen music from phone through BT I have to change the source on the radio to BT media stream, otherwise I won't hear the sound. If call is coming radio switch to phone call mode automatically.
thanks got it working, there is a button on the CDPlayer/Bluetooth Unit to switch to A2DP, the moral is always read the manual properly !
i guess i have a reason to continue within this thread:
i don't get the directions vom google navigation too. but, and that's the difference, it work's great with music - which i use all the time - und other apps like sygic. only the google navigation causes trouble.
to be more precise: the directions ARE played, but at such a low volume i can't really hear anything. all the volume-sliders are up to max, but that doesn't show any effect.
so i guess for some reason there's more of a software-issue in my case, since all this worked flawlessly on my former moto milestone.
i do remember it worked in the beginning. maybe rooting the device (and s-off via xtc-clip) started all that, but since i don't use it that often i can't really tell if that's really the case.
so, any ideas?

You'll need to increase media playback volume when you hear the voice prompt. Just press + volume button on the side and bring it to desired level.
I also have some issues with my Parrot 9100 kit. Beginning of the words are cut-off and then you can hear the announcement. I had the same problem with my Desire (not a Desire S) and I solved the problem by installing custom Ginger Villain Rom.
Now I have the same problem with the Desire S.
I guess there must be something with the HTC radio or Sense.
@aenis
thanks for your reply... but since i'm experienced in using g-navi i have already thougt of that, and media (and navi-) volume is, as i've said before, up to max...

[Q] Newbie questions (Atrix 4G)

Hack level: Newb
Posts: 1
Phone status: Rooted, unlocked, flashed with Jokersax's Kitchen sinking and running great.
Question 1: How do I flash a kernal?
Question 2: Since I rooted and flashed my phone I have been unable to see it on my computer. I reloaded the drivers and I can hear the phone be recognized but the phone is not seen on the computer. How do I fix this?
Question 3: I have Gapps installed. When I call someone with Car Dock I can hear the call through the stereo. When I play music or use the navigation I can't. How can I fix that?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Car Dock work around
I found a work around for the car dock. If you start playing the music before you put your phone in the car dock it will play through your car stereo. Not the best fix but it is a work-around.

docking station & car app

Hi there, does anybody have experience with sensation & docking station ?
I just got one and I'm puzzled.
As soon I place the sensation in the station all weird things starts happening:
the device becames unresponsive to my touch
media HD link app starts searching over and over again
notification flips open and shut
if I start the car app is somewhat worse tune in radio start automatically, the phone call up the recent calls.
I would like to have someone else experience to evalute if it is a software problem (android 4.0.4) htc sense issue (4.0) a particular ROM (OrDroid 3.0.2) or it is my docking station that is crap.
Thank you, G

[Q] Van installed tablet volume issues

Hey all!
Completely new to the site but been very helpful advising me through the process of installing a tablet in my renault trafic van. So the install went fine got everything working but Iam struggling to get the volume and quality I was after for music and movie playback.
The device is a archos arnova unit and while I haven't been able to fully get it ready for use in a vehicle environment it is running full google market. So far I have an ignition based power supply for the tablet and mini Chinese amplifier and Iam using the earphone jack to RCA with a ground loop isolator as Iam charging the device while playback is happening.
My issue is the sound not being a) loud enough and b) not to a great standard, now I have downloaded a speaker boost app to little avail so wondering how I could increase it and open to any suggestions, with the original radio it was ample.
Really appreciate any help please!!!
Regards
How do I post pictures?

Chevrolet MyLink and Google Maps Navigation

I have a rooted Galaxy S3's and updated the software from 4.1.2 to clean rom 4.3 this last Saturday.
I have a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro with MyLink. I've only had it a couple of weeks.
I swear that when I played music via XM, USB, or FM while I was using Google maps navigation, and my phone was connected via Bluetooth, that it would say the directions through the speakers over a lower volume of music, then raise the music volume once finished. This week this does not occur. No directions at all over the speakers yet everything else works like normal, like the audio on the car, and the navigation on just the phone speakers.
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? Was there some information I missed in relation to MyLink and Android versions?
Thanks!

I know this is old, but I'm in the same boat as you. I have seen some Iphone users find a goofy work around, but I do not know the Android method. I have my phone connected via bluetooth, bringup google maps and navigate. No audio through the truck speakers (2014 silverado with 8" mylink). Everybody wants some of your money, so GM would rather make their own apps work for you... Like Bringgo . I would even use Bringgo, but they only released it for a few vehicles. Guess you use Onstar or pay $800 for the nav module.
GPS Audio
I know this is old, but if anyone was still having this problem here is your answer. When you have your phone paired to your car you have to turn to blue tooth on your radio to here your phones GPS/you tube vid or anything coming from your phone besides phone call ( because it goes in phone mode automatically).
If anyone knows how to hack your mylink to play text msg or to mirror your phone please let me know.
thanks
is there any way to add maps and navigation to my linby on stark the factory setting only has turn by turn
If you can't hear the directions it's because you've turned down the volume for navigation. It's easy to do accidentally. To fix it, start up a new navigation route and when the music lowers to give the nav a chance to speak, turn up the volume nob. You just need to correct the balance. Happened to me and I stumbled across the fix.
I used to have the same problem. The issue is actually with how your phone talks to the car. There is usually a delay when a phone is transmitting audio by bluetooth. Some phones simply transmit the information slower than others. I had the same issue with my LG Optimus F3 and chevy cruze; i would rarely get any audio directions, and when i did, they were cut off. That all went away when i switched to an LG Vortex. Now i don't have any problem at all.
