[Q] Van installed tablet volume issues - General Questions and Answers

Hey all!
Completely new to the site but been very helpful advising me through the process of installing a tablet in my renault trafic van. So the install went fine got everything working but Iam struggling to get the volume and quality I was after for music and movie playback.
The device is a archos arnova unit and while I haven't been able to fully get it ready for use in a vehicle environment it is running full google market. So far I have an ignition based power supply for the tablet and mini Chinese amplifier and Iam using the earphone jack to RCA with a ground loop isolator as Iam charging the device while playback is happening.
My issue is the sound not being a) loud enough and b) not to a great standard, now I have downloaded a speaker boost app to little avail so wondering how I could increase it and open to any suggestions, with the original radio it was ample.
Really appreciate any help please!!!
Regards

[Q] Use android device as a bluetooth headset?

OK.. so first question you are probably asking is WHY??
I am looking to build an in-car computer with one of those little android computers, touch screen monitor, all hooked up to an amp and then my standard car speakers..I want to then use this to take calls from my Samsung S2 and also playback music.
So what I am trying to find out is if it is possible to get android to act as a headset / audio playback device? Have looked around but found nothing helpful. Any thoughts??

ENCO B046

Hello ! :highfive: I'm the newbie there and I hope this is the right pleace where to write up my problem !
I have ENCO B046 car navi/audio/video unit with Android 2.3 OS on it.
But the problem is that my units android side is stuck on boot screen and I can't figure out how to connect it to PC or how to get in boot menu.
When I connected to PC via USB wire, PC didn't show nothing at all,PC can't find the unit.
In attachemnt is system info picture that I took it before system get stuck in boot screen.
p.s. Sorry for my bad english and I hope someone of you can help me.
Maybe you need more information about device or what ???
I really can't figure out how to connect it to PC
bump !!!!
Got excited when I saw a XDA thread for this!!! But nothing substantial here to see.
I have one of these units. I pictured a Android environment where I had web in the car, could load any music payer I wanted, sat nav and endless upgrades. I now run the unit and bluetooth to it via my phone to get audio on all speakers. Any 3rd party mp3 player only players out front speakers and not all 4 speakers! And there is no built in mp3 player part of the car interface overlay.
Disappointed is an understatement and the support from manufacturers is laughable!!
Be very interested to work with some at hacking these together and try fix numerous issues.

Help required!!! - Music automatically pauses

Hi All,
I recently bought a dupad m7 non camera android phone which comes with lollipop os. When I play music, everything is alright in phone speakers n head phones but when I connect to a speaker via aux the music keeps automatically pausing. I tried it with different speakers to make sure tat nothing is wrong with aux port but its still the same. However there is 1 or 2 songs tat don't pause inbetween at all. I think this could be a bug which is causing this issue. Can someone help in getting this resolved.
Thanks in advance!!!!

USB Audio Streaming?

Hey,
I'm using a Lenovo Tab 3 in my car as a basis to play audio from as the standard interface of the car is terrible. I have it set up so that the tablet is plugged into the car radio USB for power, an app ensures it comes on / turns off (standby) in accordance with the power state. I like my audio quality to be as high as possible but find myself forced to use bluetooth or AUX at the moment because I cant figure out if there is a way to stream via the USB.
The car can read a song from the tablet when connected, but the navigation of files is via the car radio which is not what I'm after. Is there a way to use the USB almost as an AUX, where the music is selected via the tablet but not processed by the tablet and instead sent "pure" to the radio?
I'm getting a fair bit of distortion through the bluetooth so unfortunately it isn't really the solution here. The audio is also getting processed twice, by the tablet and the car which will reduce quality.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not against rooting, although the tablet hasn't currently been.

To my knowledge, streaming audio via USB isn't possible, I could be wrong though. You can play music from USB as if your device were a USB flash drive.
Here's some info on android USB audio.

Thanks for the reply,
I feared this may be the case. I think a DAC is going to have to be the way forward with this unfortunately!

Help using a tablet together with a phone in a car

Hello!
I hope getting some help & ideas for a new idea I'm trying to use in my car.
I have an old Volvo, with next to no modern entertainment options, meaning a factory built-in radio (neither DIN nor Double-DIN), with no bluetooth or anything fancy. A good radio with a really good sound and equalizer (DolbySorround), but that's it. And a seperate navigation system with no online connectivity or recent updates what so ever (last update is from 2014 for a nice 300.-€).
My idea would be:
Tablet (in my case a Fire HD8, unlocked, rooted and with LineageOS 14)
Phone (Xiaomi Mi Mix2, as well with LineageOS, but LOS16)
Bluetooth receiver from Aukey (that I can wire in with the equalizer)
So far, so good. But here comes the problem:
I want to do some things on the tablet, like navigation, music streaming and calls. Is it possible, to connect phone and tablet in a way, I could start the music (Amazon, Google and my own Nextcloud) from the tablet, where in reality the phone makes the connection and "sends" the sound to the tablet (and from there the tablet to the BT audio receiver) or directly to the BT audio receiver, as long as I can control that from the tablet. Or the navigation (tablet) can use the internet connection from the phone. And last thing, I want to make or receive calls on the phone, but I would like to control that from the tablet as well.
I think you get the idea, what I'm trying to do here.
I'm really not sure how to start, the hardware is already here, but I'm willing to buy other stuff, as long as it works afterwards.
Any ideas or input is very welcome, I'm a little stuck here. Thanks a lot in advance!
