I have a rooted HTC Wildfire with Cyanogenmod 7 installed on there, but I want to know if I can install Sense 2.2 instead? I prefer the stock keyboard and messaging app.
Will I still be rooted and be able to move all apps to the SD card? and uninstall factory apps?
Sorry if it's a stupid question
Thanks in advance

Hi all!
So here is the question. If I use Rom Manager on my Rooted EVO, and upgrade to Pro and flash a rom..do I lose all of my home screens?
My concern is that I download say bakedsnack or Cy6 but want to restore all my settings, and home screens when I'm done. Is this possible??
I'm running Titanium Backup Pro as well so I am assuming if I do something crazy I can revert back to my original home pages. ?
Sorry I'm just a newbie looking for some answers BEFORE I flash a new rom. (Oh and I have a Nandroid backup as well using Rom Manager.
-SKB
EVO 4G Rooted and Nand unlocked (I guess)
Email or message me please. I'd like to get down and dirty with new roms and the like!
Thanks!!

Little Help??????? Thanks in advance!!
I would like to install customs roms SQPRom 0.7 - CM6 (Froyo 2.2.1) and nFinityROM v1.18 - Froyo 2.2.1). I've heard that when I root my phone SD card won't be recognazible. Is that issue with this two roms? And another question: will I be able to install apps that require 2.x android? Or this roms are just skins? I'm new in all this so sorry if I ask dumb questions but i cannot find if SD card can be recognized and will I be able to install apps and games which require Android 2.x OS... Thanks in advance
I'd like to install Android Contacts instead of (or plus) HTC Contacts.
I'v tryed to install a Contacts.apk (from Desire (not S) ROM "Ginger Villain 2.1" ), but it won't install (it worked for Gallery3Dm.apk ).
anyone got an idea ?
PS: my phone is not rooted and s-ON
thanks
since this is a sense rom you are running it is not possible to use the stock android apps without root.
the stock android contacts app is included in our system folder, but the sense contact app is a kind of overlay for the stock app. it´s based in the sense framework.
that means even with root it is very difficult to use stock apps instead of the sense counterpart.
i think it is easier to build a AOSP-based ROM than building a "de-sensed" ROM based on a sense ROM.

Hi, hope someone can help me, please.
I have a Galaxy Tab P1000. It was with Froyo 2.2 and had MIUI Rom installed. It was also rooted with SuperUser.
I have now upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.
Questions:
1. Is it still using MIUI Rom, or the default Rom? If not, HOW and where can I see this to delete it? If it is using it, how do I know? Sorry, not "up" on these things.
2. Is the GT still rooted? There's the SuperUser app still but if it's not rooted now, I can delete that app, right? Do I need to root it again for Gingerbread?
I would like to install one of the GO Launcher themes but first, it's best I get the above questions answered.
I don't even know if I'm seeing the "best" of what Gingerbread has to offer. Maybe it is still using MIUI and that's why it looks the same as before...?
Hope you can help. Many thanks for any advice and help!! :S
