[Q] Using Rom Manager question EVO4g Rooted w/ Unrevoked 3 - General Questions and Answers

Hi all!
So here is the question. If I use Rom Manager on my Rooted EVO, and upgrade to Pro and flash a rom..do I lose all of my home screens?
My concern is that I download say bakedsnack or Cy6 but want to restore all my settings, and home screens when I'm done. Is this possible??
I'm running Titanium Backup Pro as well so I am assuming if I do something crazy I can revert back to my original home pages. ?
Sorry I'm just a newbie looking for some answers BEFORE I flash a new rom. (Oh and I have a Nandroid backup as well using Rom Manager.
-SKB
EVO 4G Rooted and Nand unlocked (I guess)
Email or message me please. I'd like to get down and dirty with new roms and the like!
Thanks!!

[Q] No 3G connectivity after custom rom (only edge)

Hey there folks!
this is my fisrt post on the forum so here goes.
I've got my first android phone a couple of weeks ago and since then I did the S-OFF and rooted it. I read the boards here, i maneged to get new roms on it without any problems and I am very happy with the performance of the phone now.
The only thing is that I can not get 3G data connectivity only EDGE.
I live in a place that always has 3G and it seems a little odd.
If anyone has encoutered this problem please let me know if and how to resolve it.
Thanks.
Phone: HTC Desire S S-OFF
Radio: 20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M
Kernel: 2.6.35.13-Tiamat_Saga-v1.0.4+
ROM: CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC1-IncS
Have you tried with another ROM? ZuluGen or the inofficial nighthly? These are not ports from Inc S, but made directly from Cyanogen source.
I think it's worth to give it a try... Just don't forget to do a NAND backup before flashing a new ROM! (This can directly be done in ROM Manager when choosing the ROM to flash. )
I assume you know how to use Titanium Backup to port all your settings and apps to the new ROM. If not, no worries... it's fairly simple and actually self-explanatory!
If help is needed, feel free to ask here!

I would only recommend going back to stock using an RUU if you are returning the phone to HTC for warranty repair. Running these will un-root your phone. Is that what you are doing?
If you simply don't find CM7 to your liking, there are plenty of custom ROMs that are very close to stock that you could flash, and still maintain root.
Which are you going for?
Edit: If you just want to go back to a stock experience without going the RUU path, I'd look at this one...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357992
Based of the stock 2.3.5 Sense 3.0 ROM, with some speed/stability improvements and tweaks and bloatware removed.

[Q] Rooting & MIUI Rom on Galaxy Tab 7" (original)?

Hi, hope someone can help me, please.
I have a Galaxy Tab P1000. It was with Froyo 2.2 and had MIUI Rom installed. It was also rooted with SuperUser.
I have now upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.
Questions:
1. Is it still using MIUI Rom, or the default Rom? If not, HOW and where can I see this to delete it? If it is using it, how do I know? Sorry, not "up" on these things.
2. Is the GT still rooted? There's the SuperUser app still but if it's not rooted now, I can delete that app, right? Do I need to root it again for Gingerbread?
I would like to install one of the GO Launcher themes but first, it's best I get the above questions answered.
I don't even know if I'm seeing the "best" of what Gingerbread has to offer. Maybe it is still using MIUI and that's why it looks the same as before...?
Hope you can help. Many thanks for any advice and help!! :S

[Q] Need advice wheter to flash custom rom or still on stock?

Dear user,
I would like to see your advice whether should I flash a cutom rom like NOS_v2.0.0_X920E or to still run stock?
My device is HTC X920e with unlocked bootloader, S-ON rooted and TWRP installed.
Are there any advantages to go for custom rom? I know i'm running and there are some chines app installed even we delete it removed it using other advance apk or ultimate backup.etc, but after restart the phone, thos will be auto installed which is very annoying.
But maybe you can help bring some more reasons why we should still on stock or custom one.
Thank in advance and feel that in HTC butterfly's forum seem silent and not more developers like to pay much here.
Fell very lonely here
Edited: decided to flash right a way. running custom rom now...
phone's really not that famous to devs out there. so far I've used the NOS ROM and nothing else. not much to choose from, that is. but the ROM's running great for a daily driver.
