Apple is good for a marriage though...I got so sick of my wife asking me to fix her Win7 system so I bought her a Mac Book and iPhone & told her I know nothing about them. Now she never asks me to fixem. However, I have to keep resetting the router cause the IOS keeps wackin it out.

Actually that would be LG not HTC, which by the way apple is still using a LG touch screen.. So how exactly do they have a patent on it....
Patent... Maybe? Hm imo, apple went to Steve and asked for a billion to ask Samsung, lg, sony, and sharp to use their products yet label them under the Apple name. Quite sad and pathetic waste of lives

Here's a good idea, wonder if it would work. Why don't we all get together and get a patent to prevent innovation. Then we could sue apple, as all they are doing is stifling innovation cuz they are pissed that they are losing market share to the android nation. I could care less about anyone having to pay Microsoft, I've been more partial to them over crapple my whole life. Crapple seems to think that since they are losing market share they can extinguish the Android flame by going after the manufacturers. Ironic that the main ones they are going after are their very parts suppliers. They must not have heard the old phrase, you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I actually am looking to buy another g1. I loved that phone.
Crazy how fast Android blew up in the past 3 years, i didnt really feel the need to get another phone till june of this year, and that's cuz the g1 is probaly the most supported device to this day and has craploads of dev support/kernels/radios/bootloaders to change up the performance of the phone. It really was a great and fun phone to have and play with and i might also just buy another one for my kids to play with!
Seems like yesterday... I got my g1 because I wanted to be a part of the android revolution. I remember when jesusfreke said he was done and told is that there was this guy, cyanogen, that we should follow... that was back when he was just one guy! Err, I guess he is still one guy, but you know what I mean... so far it had been a great ride...

actually android inc was created in 2003 and sold to google in 2007 thats when they started to make phones
I went to order the G1 three first day it was released and it wasn't available in my area, so I ordered it for when it was. Under day it was to strove out hadn't come when I left for work (i worked evenings) and I live in a small town, so I drove around until I daw the UPS man, and got him up give me my package. First smart phone I had and android had since ruined me
Still have mine, I loved that phone. By far one of the best keyboards to come out on a phone.

agreed and that's why i thought i'd miss my keyboard a lot switching to the g2x but i don't miss it at all
I still have my g1 from 3 years ago! Still play with it, had three other daily drivers including my current g2x.. But still play with the g1 its running 2.3.5gb and over clocked to 614mhz still fun...

This is terrible advice. Don't buy something that isn't popular? Really? If I had gone by that rule I'd never have bought my HD2 or my Evo View & I'd have missed out on two excellent devices. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's the best.
Here's some advice that everyone can follow- do your research, go to the store & play with different devices, and buy whichever one you like best.

Well, I don't think thats a good advice, my advice is before buying a phone like the galaxy s2, look for issues about it in the internet and try it out before you buy it.
I regret saying that Engadget's article about the screen issue wasn't that noticeable and they had it on a really dark place etc. Now i'm noticing that every darn day.

If you have not purchased one yet. I would suggest the GNEX. It has exceeded my expectations and ICS OS is pretty nice.
I would agree Nexii are amazing devices. But when I choose a device I take a look here on XDA, see what the development community is like and then i will get it

I got my One X today man this thing is nice.
I was an Inspire owner too and I remember you used to rule that forum. I am shocked that you left for iPhone! I moved onto the Galaxy Nexus when it came out and sold off the Inspire. I had an upgrade available now so there is no way I could pass this phone up... I love the phone but do miss the stock feeling of Android 4.0 so now all I really need is Root and CM9!
I remember you from the Inspire forums. I switched to the Note then the Nexus, now I can upgrade and I may get the One X. Good to see people attempting iPhone and regretting it, so I don't have to. The reason I'm maybe thinking of the One X is the camera, I'm going on holiday and don't want to be stuck taking GNex quality shots along the coast of Italy lol.

I'm pissed I have 1 line I can open or I can early upgrade to iPhone 4s my inspire is nice but I really want this phone so bestbuy will give me 300 for inspire then one x will be at the store on Friday can't wait! So dumb the phone is out on display but the won't have a shipment till freaking Friday djckgdskfvxc how is the GPS on one x? I hate my inspires GPS with a passion!

Just left my international GSII for this bad boy. (The GSII was the best phone ever btw). Freaking loving the screen and the sick build quality. It's so much better than Samsung's crap plastic
I too took a detour through some Sammys (The other phone at home is always iP - a conscious decision that works well ), Great to be back to HTC.
SGS2 was great for that generation, but LTE/batt life sucked and was a bit clunky (I have large hands), so wasted no time in getting my H1X.

The GPS is why I ditched my Inspire. I do a lot of things that use the GPS (mapping / running / cycling). That GPS would not stay locked and would turn a 5 mile run into a 15 mile run with all of the zig zags it would add to my course. Great for the Ego, but a pain in the A$$ otherwise.
To Answer your question the HOX is lightning fast to lock and stays locked pretty well from what I can tell. I have not used it with a gps app other than google maps yet but I am happy with what i have seen so far.
So I woke up this morning at a buddies house and went to turn my phone on, lo and behold
it vibrates 5 times at which I am greeted by the bad motherboard....
Long story short I am no longer going to be part of the MT4G community.
Its been a fun 2 years!

I'm going through a series of test, honestly havent a clue. could be there was an offset during the installation of my current ROM
Its a nice phone very solid and strong
I was planing to buy the htc one but then
I decided to rooted and install new rom 4.2.2 and its amazing but the battery sucks.
So I know have the HTC Rezound and am missing my glacier. If you want my old glacier that has emmc failure
plus another guts of a Glacier
And a Banker battery (4months old)
