Anyone giving up their Inspire for the Infuse?

As most of you know that the Sammy Infuse will be out on the 15th. Who is giving up their Inspire for the Infuse????

I dont "pay" for Samsung products. Junk.

My opinion is sense>touchwiz by a long shot. I don't think the Infuse does enough for me as far as specs go to warrant a change.

how would one go about switching phones, i've read in other threads that people have switch phones from one to another. what are at&ts rules on this? are they paying full price?

I'm sorry, I really want to like Samsung phones again but I can't. My blood pressure can only take but so much. The HTC stays.

Why would you do that to yourself?
HTC is light years ahead of Samsung when it comes to cell phones.. I've kept my inspire STOCK as its ten times better than a hacked Samsung.

If within the 30days of original purchase, then you can do a swap out (buyers remorse period). After 30 days you need to go through the Warranty department - It is very difficult to get a swap for a different Make/model phone - especially when a phone first comes out - They usually don't have the "full kit" available for make/model swap outs..
Your other choices are to pay off contract values, or early upgrade (if they let you).

Same here. I don't think that the Captivate was a bad phone really but no way I am ever going to deal with Samsung again.

X3. Never again with Samsung phones. Advertised features were never implemented (gps), I had multiple hardware issues with multiple handsets, glacial pace of official updates that leave much to be desired upon arrival...no thanks. The only thing it has going for it is Dev support.

The captivate was enough to make me wince at the infuse, but a gs2 would be mighty nice. The sensation looks sensational, but don't know if it will include ATT's 3g bands.

Although I've already "made my peace" with many of those here who had a gripe with me, I'd like to, once again, thank the people here who were actually helpful, were willing to accept my apology and, most importantly, the developers who are always hard at work trying to make the GS4G the best that it can be. The recent Gingerbread ROMs have really brought new life to this phone and addressed many of my initial complaints and disappointment.
That being said, (and much to the delight of several of you here who just can't seem to move past things, even after my apologies and attempts to reconcile) I still can't see myself keeping this phone. There's just not enough RAM, app storage space, etc. and, being a father of 8 month old twins, I need a decent camera ready at all times. I think we can all agree that the camera on this thing is about as weak as it gets these days.
So I ordered an HTC Sensation which should be here in a week. I guess I'll be bothering the guys over in those forums soon enough.

LOL that's funny TMO gave me a 16gb sd card with mine. I fall in the category of I'm glad to see you leave.

Also just picked up a G2x off of Craigslist, as well as a T-Mob Nexus S. Playing with both of them to see which one I'll keep. Have you put a ROM on the G2x yet? It's a little bit more involved than using the One-Click app.

I've tried out most of them. I prefer the CM7 nightlies so far (although I'm running the latest KANG atm).

I'm on AOSP and liking it, prolly move to CM nightly soon. Between this and the Nexus S, having a hard time deciding which I prefer - whichever one I happen to be using at the moment is the one I like better. Just worried about whether devs will bring a decent ICS to the G2x.

Does CM7 have the issue of constantly turning wifi off when screen shuts off, even though settings are fixed to prevent wifi shut off? I was using Eagle's Blood, which is supposed to be based on CM, and my wifi would not stay on and was causing my data radios to kill my battery. I'm now on Weapon G2x and the problem stopped (saw this solution in other forums), but I'd like to try other ROMs and I'm wonder if you or anyone else has seen this issue in their ROM of choice. Thanks!

it is encouraging to see someone else do the same drastic upgrade! i am a little afraid i'll miss my keyboard but i think that will fade quickly

Yea this is a nice phone. Something about the hardware I like most is the feel of the screen, it feels just like glass so your fingers glides with ease lol

Also forgot to mention I came from a Motorola backflip. Its slower then the g1 cuz of motoblur. I was happy to throw it up in the air about 70 feet in the air once I got this phone. Surprisingly it didn't crack. It broke though. Anyways Congrats on the g2x

that is good news to hear then i've had keyboard phones for six years and was going to upgrade to the sidekick 4g but after doing all my research i decided the g2x was obviously a much better phone, it will just be a bit of an adjustment for me

I also came from a g1 and sold that and got the mt4g with some cash. It was and still is a beast of a phone but I needed a g2x so I traded for one on craigslist. Honestly as nice as that g1 keyboard was I have gotten over it with smartkeyboard pro which IMHO is the best on-screen keyboard out there. Best part is I'm still due for an upgrade since this past August and I already got this sick ass g2x I was drooling for back when I had the og g1 lollol

I used to have the G1, then Mytouch 3G, now G2x, it's a great phone! Way fast and now that most of the bugs are worked out it runs awesome. Now I just need to figure out how to root the thing and I'll be all set!

Haha I think they guy was a crack head looking for his daily fix, had no money so he sacrificed his phone haha...yeah development for the infuse is kind of dead to be honest....its not largely supported.
Come down to AZ man ...a lot of phones for good price.... or find the local crack head with a good phone and offer him money lol

Even skyrocket Dev is not great...i know its better then infuse but...nothing in comparison to OG SG2 or even ATT note

I might consider the Note but just the size seems huge!! I've never actually held it so until I do play with it I'll make my choice

Nothing a new modem can't fix...
Plus Skyrocket is getting ICS soon so the source will be out and different ICS roms will be out as well ..... and Cyanogen will be working all all devices for CM9 (except the infuse sadly)

They said it and even gave out specs on the phones which was mainly 256ram and 1ghz processor was all that was needed

Worst fear was realized today! My beloved cappy took a fall right into the toilet, clean water thankfully! I had to switch to my hd2 for the time being. My cappy is resting comfortably in a bag of rice. I got the battery out so fast that it didn't get wet nor did anything behind the back cover. It may survive, only time will tell. But now I truly feel for you jayrokk

I had a similar incident with another phone ....not my old cappy lol.....
I was pissing and holding my phone with my shoulder and head....and for some reason i lifted my head and the phone just slid down lmao
But that was the tragedy for that haha

Infuse 4g replaced (camera cracked)

I went to AT&T store to see what they can do with my phone before I waste $200 for new one from insurance. They said to go other AT&T store where it has Device Support Centers. I was worrying becuz it was rooted and had chipped on two sides. LOL. They checked to see if my warranty was good or not. It was good til May 21. Then they were doing troubleshoot first. They had to erase and flash something from the computer and it didn't fix the problem and got me other phone at no charge.
Now I have new phone!! And is good for other 90 days warranty. I went home and rooted it again and flashed MIUI 2-3-2b stable on it. Now I want HTC Vivid. LOL

You can buy new camera replacements for way cheaper than 200 but opening your phone will void warrenty

Yes it can be but once you learn how to flash custom roms on it which involves a few more steps than the infuse it is not that hard I like my vivid but I do miss my infuse at times
