you need the right amount of apps to get them alphabetically categorized. I think the number is something like 40 or around that. Looking at your image you are probably still very fresh with only a small amount of apps. Games won't be counted towards the apps I saw from other threads.
btw. Titan, great. I am envious

Yeah its a fresh copy dude so barely any apps will have to get reinstalling. You shall have to get one if you want one screen is amazing next to the stock HD7 and with an unbranded rom all the features are unlocked which is a bonus!!

Once upon a time...Remote Desktop?

Hiya Guys,
I used to use an application (freeware) that enabled me to view the screen of my PDA on my computer whilst it was synced, I also used to be able to make changes on the PDA using the keyboard on the computer too! Which was so much easier for creating new contacts etc.
Can anyone here remember what it was called and where I can find it again.? I'v searched but cant seem to find it!
Only down side is it now has to WM5 Compatible.
Thanks for your help guys, look forward to hearing from someone soon.

You are a star! Exactly what I was after. Cheers
njcoussell - you might want to change the topic title to show that the problem has been solved.
There are a few other apps that do this as well... but the MS one is good enough I think.

general wtf?

ok, ive been working on blackberrys for years and im not an expert but im not a rookie either.
point above being that i look on this site and i see great ideas and programs but i dont find any great tutorials on how to get some of them to work.
im trying to use the chome editor one and it does nothing on my phone. or am i using the wrong program to add to 6.5 scrolling homescreen? (i guess its called windows default).
i also installed the titanium weather....it gives me a big red X and says updating, but it at least added itself to the scrolling homepage list.
i dont want IE on there, i want to use opera. but i cant add it to the homepage?
theres more i want to do but i am still trying to read this site over and over again to figure out what can be done to these new windows devices.
my device is HTC imagio running stock 6.5
also, anyone have a way to remove all the BS verizon garbage?

Manila Facebook Tab

Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been asked and is a really obvious answer, but I've used the search function and I can find things saying "Yeah, great idea", but nothing that has actually been done to download and installed.
I've got an HTC HD2/Leo and I'm looking for a Facebook tab for the Sense/Manila 2.5 interface. A friend of mine said there is a mod available, but I just can't find it anywhere!
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks
never heard of it, but it sure will be nice to have it
only twitter tab
Never seen such a tab and dont know how effective it would really be..

I think it would be awesomely effective. I don't use twitter but I can totally see the benefit of the tab. I'd like to check my friends' updates like I check my text messages. The integration with my contacts is excellent, but I'm left craving more interaction. I'm still a little surprised that this hasn't been implemented before now by the OEM directly.
Anyway, add my +1 to this request. Snoogans.
I must confirm, that the first HD2 divice I had, really integrated FB in manila tabs. The second which I bought from T-mobile (after sending the first back as the second was better "deal"), unfortunatelly did not. Nor have any WM upgrade such tab involved since then. So I am also wandering if it would be possible to find it at least officially. And as e.g. the TV can be integrated in Manila (which is result of XDA inventions, I think it must be possible to solve the problem otherwise as well.
Thanks for help too.

How do I get the great clocks on my HTC HD2

Please, please, please can someone talk me through exactly how to add the amazing clocks you can get for the HD2 on here?
I've downloaded but they just don't appear and it's driving me absolutely crazy!!!
I'm a beginner and want to learn
in the same boat, cant get anything to change!
Which clocks? Analog or digital? You will need Co0kies Home Tab installed to use the analog clocks.
God, why do these hi-tec people have to make things so difficult for us beginners!
You'd think they'd have like a beginners section where you can read 'walk-throughs' to get these clocks on your phone along with great wallpapers.
They do full 'walk-throughs' for games etc that must take weeks to make, but none for how to sort your HTC HD2 out!
What's cookies home tab???
Analogue clocks, like watches you'd wear etc, etc!
There's just no detailed info for beginners, I haven't got a clue what to do once downloaded onto my phone.
(now I have to wait 5 minutes between each post on here! This just gets harder and harder!)

Its all in here somewhere you just have to dig for it............
Analogue clock - You need Cookies home tab installed (click the cookiemonster link in my signature)
Install the clock cab file
Reboot your phone.......
Flip clock - Install cab, restart your phone......
ALWAYS INSTALL TO DEVICE MEMORY!!!!
My device memory is always too full (with what I do not know) but I have lots of memory card storage available.
Can I not download to memory card?
So I download and install something called cookies home tab?
Then download clocks.............
But what next please?
Just about every clock thread on this forum will tell you what you need if you read the original post all the way thru. Did you read the first sticky post in this forum before you started posting? The one that says read before posting? It has a link in it that will take you to the Co0kies Home Tab thread in the regular Windows Mobile development forum.

Chill mate, no need to get wound up! why would you wonna post every 5 minutes anyway?
In case you didn't know this is a developers forum, wich means that the everage member allready has some nowkledge about these things. But we where all beginners here and so was I. Nobody will help you if you're complaining, find out for yourself how to get these clocks to work, make a detailed walkthrough and post it here and help others!
These clocks and almost every other modd isn't easy to make and people who make them are doing it for free and you asking them to make a manual escpeccially for you?
This forum is all about trying, learning and doing and testing things yourself, do a search foor cookie hometab or maxmanilla, that is what you need for these clocks,
Man, some people.........
Clear out your device memory........
Get CHT......
Tweak your phone how you want it.....
Its all trial and error...................
Thought people might, just might, be helpful, which a few are being......Thanks anyway!
installing cabs is similar to installing software on your pc or laptop. you put in your storage card, then install it (tab on it) from there and then restart your phone. just start with any of this clocks (cabs) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654098 to familiarise with the process
hi all,
I have all the CHT etc... installed.
I cant install a new clock cause I have [StarView] Fall out clock installed, but I cannot install it. I guess cause its in use.
How do you uninstall old clocks?
Go to your settings tab and select applications>remove applications then scroll thru the list and select what you want to uninstall. Then hit Remove. You may have to soft reset to complete the uninstall.
Tried that, says not fully uninstalled but do you want to remove from the list anyway.
Will try again with a soft reset though and see what happens.

When this has happened to me I have found that if I try to reinstall the program again, it will actually uninstall it. Try that too.
I am one of the "guilty" guys. Actually, I did not include a specific description
on how to install a clock.
Why?
Because I have the feeling that you *must* learn what a cab is, but *before*
you do special things like mods and tweaks. I don´t have the time to write
complete user and interface instructions, my stuff is done in my free time,
and it´s available for free. Nobody is obliged to use that stuff, but I am
happy and proud if many do.
The title of my thread says "clocks for CHT". If anybody doesn´t know what
CHT means, the search function will quickly deliver the information.
Maybe because I kind of expect from buyers of a €500 device that they do have
some basic knowledge, I don´t include a description about how a cab works.
Also, I am surprised to see that many users don´t even read the original I/B
which is available on HTC´s homepage - it delivers a lot of basic information.
The xda forum itself is the best source I can imagine to get any information
anybody needs. You just have to take a little effort and search.
Even the instructions which are in my thread are not read correctly. In some
cases, I added a small "ReadMe" file, which is also not read - when I consider
the questions which come.
And this is where we finally end up: Even beginner´s questions are gently
answered in my thread. Some people ask questions through PM, which is
fine, too - but you have to ask.
nope, cannot uninstall it!
very bizzare, reinstalled again and reset, and now its gone!! lol
nevermind, I have the result I want!

[CAB] Documentstab WWE/GER/NLD/SPA (MANILA)

Hi all, I decided to close my thread in Windows Mobile Software Development and move it over to the HD2 section.
Documentstab in WWE/GER/NLD/SPA, (Manila Document Browser v2.5.20174010.0)
Pictures see post 2 thanks to poyensa.
All those cabs are tested on:
Laurentius26 Platinum Series v3.7 23148 [Full rotation] ~WWE|GER|NLD|SPA~
and the Dutch cab is also tested on the stock rom, both rom's don't have any problems with installing the cabs.
Be aware I don't take any responsebility if something goes wrong but I can always trying to help.
IMPORTANT
BEFORE INSTALLING THE CAB, JUST DELETE THE FOLDER "Application Data" ON YOUR STORAGE CARD OTHERWISE THE DOCUMENTS ON YOUR STORAGE CARD CAN'T BE FOUND.

IMPORTANT 2
IF YOU WANT TO UNINSTALL DOCUMENTSTAB, HTC SENSE WILL STOP WORKING AND IT WILL RESULT IN A HARDRESET, BETTER IS TO UNCHECK DOCUMENTSTAB IN THE TABORDER

This seems to be a very useful addition, but so few comments on the thread? I don't have an "Applications Folder" on my Storage Card. Is that usual? And an original Telstra stock rom, - what think ye Maistros? Thank you.

Hi Gavinci, first of all really thanks for your comment , maybe I have to work on my thread post to make it more clearer for everyone.
If you don't have an Applications Data folder on your storage card you don't have to delete it , the Applications Data folder is just a temporary folder for some apps, after deleting the folder the system will create a new one.
I didn't test it on other roms as mentioned in my first post but I'm pretty sure it will work on your original Telstra stock rom.
Greetz,
What fun
Your cab installed fine, and booted up as normal, so I was hopeful. But no docs showed up. After running "remove" there remained: changes to the internet slider icon;inaccessible settings; inaccessible people's tab, and inaccessible sms. I had to clear out some stuff, so a hard reset was okay. Perhaps this App not so good for the Telstra stock ROM All the best to you.

Thanks Gavinci, I'm gonna switch from WP7 back to WM 6.5 (I just started to gonna hate to take my charger always with me ) and see if I can solve this issue, I made those cabs about 6 months ago and made them only for the Laurentius rom's so that would be the reason it change the tab order when you used the Remove_Doctab.cab, so for now I'm gonna remove the Remove_Doctab.cab in my first post and gonna search for a Telstra stock rom to take a look why it isn't working on that rom.

Thank you Rataplan, As you may be aware, we Six-Point-Fivers are referred to now as "zombies". This apellation while playfully sinister also refers to the "undying". I prefer to think of us as the longest lasting SPFs on the planet. SPF was I think a real blossom in the spring of the mobile tech tree, and the HTC HD2 will be in there with the mummies and stone axes, and the antikythera for future generations to marvel at. I hope your Easter has been humming.
Thanks for sharing.
I was always upset that most Sense tabs didn't display correctly when rotating.
I'm using the same version already, so I'll just have to compare the Mode9 and LUA sources. I'm also glad I won't have to spend time ont translating to French, as it's done already.
It should help me to modify the other non-rotating tabs as well, such as Internet, eReader, Footprints and Facebook tabs.
I'd also like to try to make the Music tab show the coverflow layout when Manila is set to rotating (it displays a landscape variant instead).
Comparing your version and mine should lead me to how to do to detect rotation and trigger the second layout.
I'll also try to add the missing alphabetic index on the right side of HTC contacts list in landscape mode : there's not much room, but MS Contacts has it, so it can be done !

To tell you the truth I was working on the French translation but a hardware failure on my pc and a lack of time it made me stopped.
If you wanna make the cab in French you only have to replace these files:
* 0C06EB31_manila
* 4E262382_manila
* 7F87B872_manila
* 071C3DE0_manila
* 26948339_manila
* 53616858_manila
And don't forget the DocExplorer_pages.
Goodluck and keep me informed.
Greetz,
Actually, as I'm currently using the same version, it's done already, as I said.
I'll just compare your scripts and make a mix...
I don't really have time right now, but I may do this next week end.
Mode9 scripts comparison is easy using M9Editor, but I'll have to uncompile the LUA scripts first, as M9Editor can't do that properly (it usually just crashes as soon as you click on them, and it doesn't have a comparison feature for them anyway).
