I just upgraded from a Sprint Touch Pro to a Pro 2 & found that I can no longer use the voice command features (reminders/ appointments, caller id, etc). These features except caller id will work through the speaker. Has anyone found a work-around until the version 6.6 upgrade is available. In talking to someone at Sprint they stated that they may go straight to version 6.6 instead of 6.5. This version is suppose to have a number of features not available in 6.5. Voice command & the ring/vibrate feature should also be corrected. There were some registry settings that were available for the HTC mogul that worked with the Touch PRO but won't work with the Touch Pro 2.

I also had this issue and what I did to have it seudo working was the following.
I opened up the Bluetooth settings page and clicked on the 1st tab(the gears) then selected the advanced section/audio subsection and checked off the box that states "Play system sounds on remote hands-free device". That gave me the functionality of the incoming call/text message/confirmation alerts over my Bluetooth device.
There are posts everywhere about this feature and tweaks to get not only the bluetooth audio working but as well to get the blue tooth voice recogniziton working. The search feature is your friend.

It's only your friend when you reviewed every document concerning this problem and none of the answers pertain to your software package. Most of the windows based phones of today are using the Microsoft bluetooth stack in which voice command was created around. The new Touch pro 2 phones are using a widcomm bluetooth stack in which VC doesn't recognize so only a few of the features will work (voice dialing on my phone).

Thanks. I tried that one. I'm now able to get my emails & some reminders but no caller id which is the important one.

So search using the term widcomm stacks. At the very least there are a lot of threads about this very issue, maybe there will be some advice that can help you there:

Has anyone tried using voice command to set up speed dial???
I think it totally fails.......
Hold windows key ==> say "Save speed dial"
then say "1"
And THEN it wants you to say the phone number you want to save.... which wouldnt be too bad if ...the PHONE CAN ACTUALLY VOICE RECOGNIZE YOUR NUMBERS!!!!!
Believe me, i tried several ways to input the phone number but failed miserably. I even used google translate to voice the numbers and that didnt work also.
Anyone got any tips? This feature should be elaborated more!!!
You can check the website for more info about the voice recognition

Hey I'm new to the board and have a question about the Xoom.
I have a data plan for the xoom and use GrooveIP to make calls through Google Voice. What I would like to know is:
Is there anyway to use voice dialing to search and call my contacts through grooveIP? Since the Xoom doesn't have a default dialer, the standard voice recognition just throws an error about how my device doesn't have the phone capability.
Example of what I hope to accomplish:
me: "Call George"
Xoom then locates george's contact info and uses GrooveIP or different application to place the call.
I have looked everywhere and I have yet to find a solution.
Thanks in advance

Gentlemen,
I am opening this point because I have the issue with the making of the calls due to my disability. Simply you can imagine me as the guy without hands sitting on the wheelchair.
I am owner of Samsung Galaxy S3 and I need to find a way how to make a call without touching of my device outside of my house. I know that the phone has the application called S Voice which can be used when I am at home in the quiet environment with the access to the Internet. But this application does not work without the access to the Internet and in the noisy environment outdoor.
A few years ago I had a mobile phone based on Windows Mobile platform and all my issues of this kind has been resolved thanks to the following application: Vito Voice2Go
This application has been using "magic word" for the starting of the voice recognition and the voice tags for the selected contacts. It was a big advantage because when I have set the voice tags only for a few contacts then there was a very high percentage of the correct recognitions.
Unfortunately I cannot find any similar application for Android and I would very appreciate if you can advice me some solution. But please keep in your mind that I cannot use my hands so Bluetooth solution is not a applicable.
Thanks a lot in advance.
