Phone display off but phone is working

Hey.
My Galaxy R display gone off after sometime of locking the phone. But phone is working fine. I can hear the ringtone when call is coming. When I switch any button phone display not work but I can use phone after rebooting and again it happen after sometime when the phone is lock. I tried installing another ROM and kernel but still it is happening. So what i have to do to solve this.
Sorry for my bad English and Thanks in advance.

I think there's a problem with the display backlight. Better take it to the SSC if the device is in warranty..

Sadly I don't have warranty and I don't think it is backlight problem. If it is then why would it work every time after reboot.

I figured something else and now I am sure it is not problem with backlight. Today I changed light setting to automatic off to 10 minutes. And after that I checked whether it happen or not. After sometime I tried to unlock drawing the pattern but it is very difficult to draw and goes wrongly and i tried every button but except power button no button work. I tried after that drawing the pattern and working fine. After sometime again it happen and it goes fine after pressing power button. But still it wont work it if happen when the backlight is off. So I think now you people have some more information. And i hope I can fix it soon with your help.

Hey buddy. this thing happened with me lots of time when I was over GB. If you are over GB then flash ICS or JB.. this will definitely solve out your problem. But if you think this wont help then can visit SSC.

I think I should try this. Would you recommend best ICS ROM. And Thanks for your help.

I updated my phone to ICS. But still it is happening. i don't knw what is wrong with it. Is there any other solution.

Hmmm... me too faced the issue in GB... not sure about ICS.. coz I was very little time in ICS... can u connect ur phone with PC and run log cat... after it get stuck.. when u reboot it will get ended and u can send the logcat... developers can see what is going wrong...

Not sure.. how u have taken this logcat.. not getting anything interesting...
1. Run logcat after connecting your pc..
2. let it run till ur mobile get stuck...
3. after it get stuck.. u have to reboot(rite?)
4. while rebooting the logcat will get ended
5. send the logcat...
If u used the same procedure, then do one more testing after doing a factory reset(don't install any app and don't restore ur app)...

Well, we should figure out if it's a hardware problem or software problem.
Have you recently flashed another ROM or kernel, or messed with system files?
Have you dropped, pushed hard on the screen, or caused any damage to the screen?

Have you tried reflashing stock firmware with Flashtool?
I recommend you trying that, but be sure to uncheck the "wipe data" checkbox, else you will lose your apps and their data.
As reading your story it doesn't sound like a hardware issue, so reflash stock firmware, perhaps try the calibration patch once more after reflashing, and tell us the results.

your unable to do anything? give us a picture please , might want to try Factory resetting in recovery mode too.

hi ive found out what it is, its a new security feature called 'Reactivation Lock' ive bought this phone from a secondhand shop so i dont know the original owners details
is there anyway to bypass this ??

i imagine at this point you should get it into download mode and flash the latest version for THAT device only.

i have same problem...and i also flash 4 file for g900f..but still same page after activation...i don't use a pit file for flash...do you think if i do so...it would help?

[FIXED] Reversed touch after accidentally falshing of SGS6Edge root to SGS6

I accidentally flashed g925f cf-auto-root to my g920f. Oding let the file to flash successfully and now my phone's touch is reversed. Now if i swipe left-to-right the phone's screen swipes right-to-left. To click a botton on the right side of the screen i have to touch the left side of the screen. Even after flashing the right cf-auto-root file (cf-auto-root for sm-g920f) the problem could not be solved.
FIX:
Dial *#2663# in the dialer and update the thouch screen penal firmware by selecting 'TSP FW update (General)' button.

Try Odin-ing back to stock using your original firmware. That should reset your phone to how it was when you got it.

Thanx for the reply.. i will try after downloading the stock firmware. Touch behaves the same way on the recovery too..

Still the same after flashing the stock firmware.

Friend of mine has the same issue. If you manage to find a solution will you please update your thread?

I will update the thread if/when i find a solution. I think the problem is in the bootloader.. do anyone knows a downloadable link to SG-H 920F bootloader?

He meant flashing the bootloader and modem from that thread.
I have tried that but didnt solve it.
Maybe i need a .pit file or give a try by flashing via kies/smart switch, but my internet is not that stable and fast enough..

That is clearly not a rom issue. Maybe flashing the wrong cf-auto-root had messed the touch driver which loads even before the kernel or system. I'll be greatly appreciated if somebody shed a light for this matter

yeah, that's will be helpfull, i'va try all and nothing work, that's strange like if someone got a phone who still can upload all configuration at factory settings and we could put it in our phone that's would be great !

Need Help Fixing Phone, Stuck trying to update!

I rooted my s7 A while ago and it was working fine, until I accidentally clicked the update button and now my phone keeps trying to update itself and I can't get back on it. I've been trying to flash stock firmware but it wont let me do that either :/

What phone type you have G930F? what you mean " keeps trying to update itself" does it boot?
What happens when you try to flash a stock firmware?
can you get into recovery?

I have the SM-G930A, And When ever I try to go in to recovery it goes to the updating screen and then fails, then tries to boot up and keeps doing the same thing over and over. Also Every time I try to flash stock firmware it fails. idk why it fails tho :crying: Thanks for the help in advanced! :victory:
