connecting to pc problem

i had soft bricked my fit n den got it repaired but now when i connect it to the pc i dont get any mount sd card option n cant even connect to kies
plz help as it would work b4 but after repairing it stopped

Try restarting the device and try again. N if that doesnt work. You need to wipe data and cache. And also u said u had softbricked. so wat did u do?? I mean u installd firmwwre again or u did something else??

Connect with Kies is just for stock ROM.

i tried flashing stock rom on fit again when softbricked but it got stuck on mbib download and kept happening wid diff rom versions.....
so i gave it for repair to some good shop
btw i used the code *#7284#, changed to uart and then back to usb, then restarted and it worked but i wanna no if dis will keep happening or what i did is a permanent fix

Yea bt dat seems to be a software issue only.. the roms wic u load.. check if in that the usb debuggin works. Coz sometimes it doesnt as android debugging sumtyms makes probs:thumbup:

[Q] Bricked Galaxy R

My Galaxy R was bricked after I updated it to ICS (official). The update was unsuccessfull and phone rebooted. Everything was fine, my phone still had gingerbread. Then it got bricked after 1 week (dont knw why).
I followed this thread for unbricking but before flashing the ROM i flashed CWM recovery:

But in the middle of the process my device got disconnected from the PC and I ended up with a bricked phone. Now m unable to get into APX mode. When i plug the device into the PC it gets stuck on charging(no animation for charging also).
Is there anything I can do to recover my galaxy r ?
EDIT: M unable to boot into CWM reocovery and Odin gets stuck while setting up connection(flashing).

U hav no other option but to go to service center buddy.. They'll replace your motherboard and flash official ICS also.. Hope your phone is still under warranty.. Give them some reason like u removed data cable without checking "Safely remove" in your PC, it got restarted and bricked..

If your mobile is going to Download Mode then try to flash stock ROM with ODIN V 3.x

I was able to boot into Download mode using the USB Jig and flashed the stock GB firmware . Now the phone is working fine, only problem is the IMEI number.
I didnt have the /efs backup before bricking my phone, so is there a way to recover my IMEI number ?

Without the backup, there's no other option but the SSC.

Just configure it. For free if ur in warranty or else they will charge.

I went to SSC today, they were unable to repair the IMEI number. Is there any other alternative, I can try out ?

Have you done the factory reset with GB Stock ROM... It may help...
Edit: Before that check efs partition is available and files are present inside.. using terminal emulator or adb...

Buddy they found out that i rooted the phone through the generic IMEI number displayed (004999XXXX) even though the counter was reset. They were like OMG, I am a criminal lol, how can I root a phone. It was of no use talking to them, previously they were compelling me to buy a new mobo when I bricked the galaxy r :laugh: .

I am using FileExpert and I can see the nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 files. In the process of unbricking the galaxy r I did flash the stock indian GB and did the factory reset, now its displaying generic IMEI.

Such a big company can not say like this and try to sell the new products to customer ...
Go to this like and send Email to CEO's Office..
Don't tell him that you have rooted and lost IMEI, tell him some story..

Gys I followed the guide to root my phone with CWM recovery but there is no root access. Root checker gets stuck and busybox says problem with root permissions. I can see the superuser app, dont knw what is the problem ? I just need to backup the /efs folder.

[Q] Need help: Unable to boot

Hi All,
Need urgent help!!
I am new to Android Upgrade.. I am using Galaxy 3 gt-i5801. 2 days before when i connected my phone to laptop using samsung kies, it showed me that there is an upgrade available( froyo). I just thought of going for next android version and proceeded for the upgrade.. it went on well but my bad luck just before it completed, my laptop internet got disconnected and even after connecting internet it didnt proceed but failed..
soon after that, my Kies showed me the recovery console and i gave for recovery.. that too failed since my mobile was showing samsung logo but not the download mode..
so i just disconnected my phone and switched it off... now i am not able to boot my phone at all.,.
i tried all combinations like.., vol up,down,home,power etc.. nothing is working..
is this phone dead? as i can see in other threads that samsung service center guys will replace mother board n take 3000+ Rs for the same??
pls help me.. i dont want to spend so much for this now..! plss help me..

No nothing.. i tried all the combinations but is not showing anything..

Maybe it hard bricked.
Try flashing stock rom manually via odin.
Do a google search for it.
Edit: connect ur phone to a pc without battery and try the button combos see if the pc detects ur phone.

Tried by removing battery no luck
also searched google for flashing stock rom manually via odin.
the links which i got was explaining abt going to download mode and flashing it.. i cant go to download mode

But maybe it's a hardware problem: About a week ago a line of (black) dead pixels appeared across the screen. :crying:

so no other way other than going to service center?

Well, i think u will be requiring a usb jig.Its a device which forces a samsung device into download mode even if its bricked.You can buy one online.
This is much cheaper than a new motherboard.Hopes it works.

can i get that in ebay india?? i searched it and can see usb jigs for galaxy s2 but not for i5801 can u give me the link if you dont mind!

its available on ebay india.
i think that the one for s2 will work for galaxy 3 because they have similar micro usb socket.

first real brick a110 micromax (canvas 2)

first bricked canvas 2 is in my hand
i am on suvi 7 rom..
battery is dry complet fully dry below 1%
i didnt charge or didnt even not put on charging when its dry..
now mobile is off
i charging
mobile continue-sly on charging since from last night now..
its not working even not boot up
no recovery entry....
so here is question is it really bricked how to wake up it..
plz help me

I guess this is not correct section to post.
Listen plugin ur charger and long press your lock button for like 5 to 6 mins or more..just try, it should work.
Note : First put ur phone on charging mode via power cable

The same has happened to me, and I was also thinking on your line and tried all possible solution as also explained by someone here but no use.
Then I took my battery and tried it charged from some outer source.. and to my good surprise I succeeded
Then I put it back to A110 and it is working.
What I could understand that if you are on custom rom they do not support the recharge once the battery goes off completely. Hit Thanks if it helped you

just download stock ics v2 and flash it through sp flash tool

it is not bricking.....
As i understand it was not a bricking issue. the rom in which u r dosent have the support to charge the battery when it is switched off. some rom builders have provided patches for the same. you can try downloading such patches and install it frm cwm. before doing all this put your battery in some other canvas phone running in stock rom and then charge it. once you are done with it u can just put the battery back in ur device and switch it on.

No need to worry about anything, this kind of bricking once in a day always happen to me when i don't charge my phone on time , just connect ur charger wait a minute then press and hold the power button and tap menu button simultaneously, within 20-25 secs ur phone will boot, if it doesn't then disconnect the charger connect it again and again follow the whole procedure, i am sure ur fone will boot. Please let me know if it worked, n then hit the thanks button

here is simple solution.. .. remove battery. charge it with universal charger.. ..for. 10-15 minutes.. .now keep battery in phone.. .and click power button.. .it will definitely charge

Today I tried to update my a110 to jelly bean(V3),shile updating it with sp tools,it showed an error and the process stopped,I disconnected the phone,and it is not switching on nor charging from that moment!
Please Help!

I recommend you use CWM instead of SP Tools. Its a lot better and have almost 0% chances of any errors except if the zip file is corrupted or phone is switched off.
And about switching it on, I think you bricked your phone. Just go to the service centre and say that you were installing a game and a program started automatically asking you to switch off. You switched off and now its not opening. And most important thing "BE A NOOB TO THEM". Don't talk like some tech. genius. This is one of the working ways. They will repair it to the best of their knowledge, and if its not repaired, you'll get a replacement. Just remove all custom ROM related files from SD card and CWM too. Remove it from SD Card.
I did it several times when many of my friends bricked their MMX A110 installing a ROM or playing with system directory.

Bro i gave my phone has suffered from same problem. i gave to mmx care but now they r returning it without repairing. problem is i have misplaced my bill now n i cant go back to them asking them to replace the phone. please help!!!

i had this prob too,wen i dried it up intentionally while trying to calibrate my battery...
our mobile cannot charge the battery when it is entirely dried up , so take ur battery to the local mobile repair shop and ask for a "Battery Boost" thy will charge ur battery it with some specific device , this is usually done for the mobile batteries which were not used for long time to get it running again..
btw did u try booting your phone with another battery! ??

cant start my LG Thrill

please any can helpme, Iam buy an LG Thrill 3d (p925) AT & T... the phone when I buy its turn on.... and I don't check any thing...
but the next day I sold the phone, and today the buyer return the phone to me and tellme the phone donts turn it off... and the phone show only the Logo "LG" and nothing more, don't pass to any step just the Logo...
so I take the phone and pull out the battery and put again and press the 3 buttons to get in recovery mode.... ( because I put the battery and turn on the phone but its the same just see the Logo " LG" ) .. and "voila" the phone showme "rom manager" I think CWM....
I think the buyers do something to the phone like reset or factory reset or any thing more or delete some files...
the question its... ( I don't know the phone its rooted ) I think the phone its rooted because show "CWM"... so what I need to do?
1.- How to start in normal mode or android mode... to see if have any zip rom in the memory phone, to reinstall that rom ?
2.-How to reinstall the stock rom ?
please any help I don't want brick my phone.... and I don't know how to put another zip rom in the memory phone to install a fresh clean rom, because I don't know if my pc reconogize the phone or how to push a zip rom to the memory phone ?
