I bought my 7 Pro SIM free , I am currently using it on O2 , but it has a different SIM from one week to the next as I change phones a lot.
I am wondering firstly , why I need a network to "push" my update ? What's it got to do with them ? I didn't buy my phone from them ! LOL
....And secondly, when the holy powers decide I can have my update, will the notification be pushed to my 7 Pro no matter what network it happens to be using at that time ? (see I am a little confused by the Networks role in all this)
NOTE - I can't use the "force" trick as I am a mac user , I did try to do it on the PC at work , and it half worked , then downloaded a "zune set up" file that froze at 99% for 7 hours , ..at which point I gave up , LOL !

The phone won't turn on when I tap the little 'x' - it (usually) offers me the 'Turn Phone On' option, but all I get is the vaguest flicker on the screen. I haven't been able to use it for days now.
Please has anyone got any ideas?

I had the same problem! Exactly the same!
I ordered a new SIM-Card from O2-germany but the Problem was not solved!
Then I tried to upgrade the Phone to Windows Mobile aka PPC2003.
The first time I started the the phone worked again!
I tried to use the old SIM again an that one worked, too.
But I have to say: Its better, but not perfekt. Sometimes (when I forget to charge the battery) The SIM is not noticed again!
And: I'm not able to connect so O2 at the moment. T-Mobile D1 works at this moment but I have to use O2 when I am at University, so this is not optimal!
But there is an upgrade for the RadioStack (the phonepart in your XDA) available at the O2 website! I will try that some time later on.

My tomtom 6 was working perfectly. Version is 6.01 with france
This morning, I launched the application and it say there is no map.
I try :
1) uninstall and reinstall : same problem
2) used another microsdcard with map working on it (from a friend using cruise and tomtom) : same problem
3) using my microsdcar on an another cruise : working
4) i tried western europe instead of france but same problem
it's like a registry entry was modified or a dll was missing
This problems already occurs 20 days ago and i had to hard reset but now, i have a lot of application to reinstall. Need almost one day to be operational and this problem can restart later.
And today, this problem restart !
Do you have an idea ?

problem might B (at least i remember it from Artemis) that U start using BT ftp(U allowed it) or u have btexploreer alloved. Simply switch it off(Settings/network/bt - its 3rd tab if i remember).

For me, if I don't have the memory card inserted when i reboot the device everything works fine. Otherwise...no maps found
tyr 2 check if U dont have bluetooth ftp switched on. Switching off can do the trick

I have htc TD2 , htc HD , htc hero all unlocked and used SIM from T-mobile and AT&T. Actually when I started to look in phone loggerbook when , all 4 of my home CP and laptops were freeze , then all 3 cell phones and 2 of home landline - wireless-also downed with in 5-10 minutes .So I called the ISP ( Comcast) so they may be could help . They said nothing wrong with their end but the speed of DSL was slowwwww, they asked me to check the router and to find out our PIN was changed??? not only on the router but also the PC admins password .
.
So with their help I be able to assigned a new PIN and password for the router and PC . And just to find out 5minutes later the newly PIN and password were wiped out and replaced .Trojen virus and some kids hacking my home system ???? Please help . Every thing is still running now but 5-6 hours we have to reboot again , and those ErrorRep is still running in the back ground none stop .Sometimes checked on MSM ,MMS , Listen ,GMS , GRPS -24 hours -even the phone is OFF , w/o battery .

Please excuse my English i'm not a native speaker.
I bought a Samsung S8+ back in march 2018 and it was working fine till the moment suddenly the signal starting to drop and eventually gives me a block sign, i tried to troubleshoot by the following steps and the result after each one.
1- Restart the device- working for 1 minute and then drop and block in the signal.
2- Rest the network setting- same as the above.
3- Rest all setting- same as the above.
4- Erase the device - same as the above after restore the back up.
5- Erase the device- working for couple of days but as soon i start to install my apps it starts blocking again.
6- Called my carrier ETISALAT - UAE asked them to rest the setting for my sim, they did it but the problem remains..
7- Tried the sim in different device its working fine.
8- Eventually send it to Samsung they format it from their end and worked for a month.
9- The problem came back after 1 month so naturally i sent it immediately to Samsung to see whats wrong but this time i slightly cracked my screed since i drooped it, accordingly they refused to repair unless i pay for new screen and it cost here about 1000 AED so i don't want to do that since the screen is slightly cracked doesn't affect functionality.
So now i have a phone that can do everything a smart phone can do except sending and receiving calls.
can you please support.

Hi amer I'm not really an expert on network issues but i will advise you to flash the stock firmware and see, if the problem still present then it's a hardware problem.

What firmware you on ? And where did you purchase the phone from ? As the thread you posted on (Cellular strength and throughput) He fixed his by flashing the correct CSC for his region i.e Canada..

I got myself the Oukitel WP 5000 - i work a lot outside and i need something strong and heavy that does not break so fast.
This thing is exactly what i want but after 3 month it developed a problem - one morning it did not connect to w lan nor pay-internet
anymore . Both indicators show an exclamation mark. I got it fixed by resetting the entire phone but to make it run like before took me half a day.
A few weeks later i had the same problem again and only the total reset helped but i am loosing a lot of time doing that.
Now its the 3rd time that i cant connect anymore to w lan and also not to pay internet.
The funny thing is that WhatsUp works - and i can acces my cameras and move them - so there is some sort of connection but i dont get anything when i
use Mozilla or Opera.
The rooter is ok - all other connected things work just fine.
There must be some problem with Android i cant find - i posted the same question in a german forum but got no answer.
Android version is 7.1.1. original (everything is original on this phone)

Since nobody has an answer for me maybe you can help me avoiding this problem.
Is there a way i can store my "entire" phone lets say on my PC and when my phone goes on the blink
again i just copy it back from my PC and i am on the road again.
Is there a program that can do that ?
Re-installing Numbers, names, app´s, passwords, alexa stuff and many other things by hand take such a long time.
