you are a fool why you have flashed I9000 firmware to I9003 device.
not the only option is service center

your phone is dead...in china have so many people like this also, cannot repair

Paper weight !!!!!!!

Dnt wory. It happens most of time with new users like u. For now take ur phone to service centre & give a fake reason to them. They will repair it. Now from next time dont do same mistake.

It't hard to recovery

You have screwed up your Phones bootloader. You can not enter download mode now. May be you can try the JIG. But then its of no use explaining about such methods to new users who cant understand. Just take it to service and act like a noob, just tell them you saw there was update available in KIES and you updated the FW. But after that your Phone did not boot. Thats all...

pliz go buy the i9000 n try back that custom fw..it must be working hehe. dude u're juz finish the bad flashing ever done in phone history n sammy service center must be ur next destination. juz follow the tips above n everything will be OK

LOL! Lucky one!
OP- Tell Samsung people that the phone started to heat up and re-booted randomly and then suddenly stopped it's functioning. They will work on this issue. In Asia, speacially India, they are gonna take nearly a month and a half to get this thing done. THe service guys are pretty lazy. There is no option to speed up the process, unless, you have luck on your side or you know the service guy

And you maybe flashed to death by the bill what Samsung Prepares in a FLASH of you dont have a warranty

Awww... dont be too hard on the poor guy. This reminds me of a thread created in the MIUI forums requesting a ROM for our i9003. The moderators response was "try flashing the i9000 ROM". So yeaaaaahhhh....

sorry, but that's definitely a brick! Fancy putting sugar in soup when salt is on the recipe....
Service center won't be able to detect your mistake as they can't revive it and find out what happened. Had you had a hardware failure while you were updating with Samsung Kies, service center might help you but if you were to tell them you updated with WRONG firmware they would not even repair it. *cough*

Congrats, You now have an Expensive Paperweight.

Mod Edit (1/13/12):
This thread is stickied to help in case someone flashed the i9000 instead of the i9003 files. IF this is your problem, please read through the thread to find a possible fix. If you're just wondering why this is stickied or want to post off topic, go to another mod's forum, OT posts will be deleted AND infractions will be given. This is a help thread for fixing a wrongly flashed phone, not a discussion on how to brick your phone by cooking the cpu.

Why did you flash it with a 9000 ROM anyway ?
sorry i think u have to go samsung service centre
Dont waste your time to samsung service station with good explanation, don't let them to say that you was upto flashing.

i9000
Im lost for words, did you not do any research on flashing, it is dotted all over the forum what will happen if you flashed a 9000 rom.
Indeed that is the hard reset to gain access to Dl mode, then pleeeaaaasssseeee, only flash a i9003 firmware, MUST be i9003, xxkpe is your best bet.
Lesson to be learnt, just coz its a galaxy does not mean its an i9000, they dont sell those anymore.

You can use jig brick tool made by three resistor to go recovery mode. try it now.
connect ur device to pc if sumthing happnes i mean ur screen glows or anything than ur phone is revivable........
1.) remove ur battery plug the usb cable n connect to pc...
2.)insert battery
3.)n quickly press the three button combo for downloading mode before the screen glows.....
if u r do it on perfect timing than u shud be able to open download mode now u knw wat to do..............
if ur pc not recognizing driver than shutdown pc remove power cable from the wall......wait sum time 10 secs atleast......connect again start ur pc n done....
dont remove ur phone connection with pc while shut down n start.....
<---- press it if i helped

Tried all ROMS but nothing seems to stabilize

Hey guys need help desperately, i tried almost all roms such as XXKPE, XXKPH,XXKPQ,XXKP7,XWKPG, JPKP5, JPKPE but all of them fail to stabilize on my Galaxy SL i9003. Tried factory resetting, wiping dalvik cache after each installation. I even tried CWM and now I am at Cranium 3.0. They were all stable on the first day but the next day in the morning, my phone was either turned off or restarting itself. When I turn it on again, all my contacts were gone, and i have to select language again like it went on soft reset(i called it soft reset because it resets only my initial set ups like locker screen, vibration intensity of haptic feed back, ringing tone, notification tone, all animations but all programs and login details are still there). Is there anything else that i can do to my phone?
Can u tell me purose behind posting this thread in development section...?
First of all, please don't post in development section
For your problem try installing kpe first and try pitting it in Odin with latona. Pit

Don't treat newbie like that. Give them link and say thank you to them because without newbie there is no Pro !
Hi,
the problem that you describe is like mine Acer Liquid, follow this step and say if persist
Wipe Data, Cache
Flash XXKPE with repartition and correctly
Remove Battery from phone for 1 hours
insert battery into device
Download Mode
Flash XXKPQ
Without flashing any kernel or like
if persist, i think its not problem SoftWare but its hardware problem, go to Samsung Assistence

I understand that ur suggestion & even ur suggestion is really good. Senior member have implemented this stratagy many times. But main problem is still that new people dont take effort read some rules. There are many useful sticky thread especially for new people but they want everything readymade.
1)Reading threads wont solve his problem. His is unique, and he posted in deperation. But remember, try not to post these things in dev section!
2)And the answer to your question-Go to service centre.NOW!
Not a dev discussion. If you are tired, please make a stable rom for yourself.

bricked device

So im guessing i bricked my s3 verizon.. the phone wont completley turn on I rooted and tried to put on a jelly bean rom and found out that I put the wrong one on meaning I put a GSM instead of a CDMA which is my fault because I never payed attention to it.. Any solutions for this problem?
Battery pull did not work
Charging it did not work
The phone completley will not turn on no way to get into download mode or whatever so I need help thanks.
I haven't kept up as much in recent days but what I heard in the past was that flashing an international ROM was close to a death sentence since you end up in a qualcomm diagnostic mode with no download mode. I have no idea if there has been any changes, updates, or progress made in this regard or if a USB jig will help you. I would imagine a JTAG would still be useful. You might want to try on IRC.
Also, this is not development and does not belong here. The rules clearly state that. Many bad things can be avoided by taking the time to read.

I did, was just confirming what you had already said :good:
Spoke with Verizon and they'll replace it for me...should have been more careful, I flashed the GSM version of a rom after rooting. JTAG looks like it's quite difficult though. I'd only do it if Verizon told me to take a walk...Anyways thanks for the responses, and always remember: practice safe flashing!

[Q] Wrong IMEI

Didn't backup my efs folder...
I rooted my phone but everything was fine until it bricked
It bricked twice and I saved it twice but 3G is no longer working
Now, I can't make any call in UK (it says Mobile network is not available)
I realize that my IMEI is 004999010640000 but not a unique one
SIM card is working on other phones
I'm now on 2.3.6 stock rom, not rooted, zero count
1. Is IMEI causing this problem?
2. Is there anyway that I can repair IMEI by myself without losing the data of my phone?
3. If I bring this to Samsung, Is this phone still under warranty?
4. Is factory reset compulsory before bringing it to Samsung?
Thank you!
No way, you should take it Samsung service Center they will do it under warranty and your on stock ROM so not required to do Factory Reset, don't worry they will do it in 10 Min with out losing data.....

Your device does not support software updating via kies
Googled it but it seems like changing (KOR) to (TGY) and wiping all the data is the only method.
Is this caused by a wrong sales code/IMEI?
Should I just flash 4.0.4 on my own?

It's really easy, if you find that you need features you can only use when rooted/on a custom rom then go ahead.
If you don't find yourself thinking "that custom feature would be of some real use now" then there's no reason to "go back to the ROOTIN wagon"..
Finally, some friendly advice , if you intend to start modding your phone please read the goddamn instructions this time around. :highfive:
