So today I noticed that when I was going to connect to wifi calling it never initiated. I clicked on the app and it said currently not registered with the t-mo network so I cannot connect to it.
This is a new problem as I was connected to it last night. I installed Virtuous, but the same thing was happening before I flashed that. Anyone else have it happen to them or know how to fix it? Thanks
So are u still on virtuous unity?

Yeah, but I don't see that being the problem since it was working before flashing Virtuous.
Lmao. You flashed a TOTALLY different rom with a TOTALLY different WiFi calling setup. Just becuz it was working on one rom doesn't mean its gonna automatically work. You need to let virtuous team know about the glitch. Or flash a different rom.
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using xda premium
naw it was not working before virtuous so I'm not gonna say it is Virtuous' fault. It may work itself out don't know.
make sure your E911 address is in my.t-mobile
Did it work itself out?

Ok I have had my inspire for about a week now and yes it's rooted. I have been having problems with my wifi saying unable to scan for networks. Go into advanced settings and mac address is unavailable. And when wifi doesn't work I am also not able to use tethering. Sometimes everything works fine and sometimes it doesn't work for hours. Suggestions would be appreciated

Have you flashed anythingI, or are still on stock kernel.. or have you ever flashed a kernel?
I have flashed 4 different roms and get the same issue every time. I am new to the android world so I have not flashed any kernels by themselves.

Anyone experiencing mobile data connectivity issue from t-mobile?
I was on my way to the office when I noticed that my phone have no Internet access. Knowing that a reboot usually fix network connection issue I proceed on cold reboot but to no avail. So I re-flash the stock rom but it did not fix the problem. I went back and restore my backup of Senseless rom and set the APN to default and that finally fixed it. However after a few minutes my wife called about her phone having the same network connectivity issue and we are both T-mobile user.

Sounds like a T-Mobile problem.

Could be a radio issue. Try a different radio. And yeah wrong forum. You should either ask the question in the thread that your rom is in, or in the q and a sub forum.
not radio issue, same with 3.12, 3.25 and now 3.30.
I did notice something like that. I could work perfectly well for a couple of hours just to be unable to load any webpage so that I had to clear memory or in extreme cases turn the airplane mode on and off. It's been ok since I loaded IC 4.6.1 on my phone though.
Same here... The data network is suck and end up i flashed back the Gingerbread. Gingerbread better than ICS.
For those who claimed the data network is ok, try to use 3G data (not WIFI) and use application such as FB Chat, Viber or Whatsapp...
You will see the problem. I also posted the same question in this section.
Very bad, I saw iphone 4s and Galaxy running without this kind of problem. Just hopefully if someone can provide tweak on DATA network.
ok, im glad im not the only one crazy here
i'll try InsertCoin then to check if it works as it supposed to and report back.
thanks guys for confirming this crappy situation.

I tried different radios, ROMs, kernels, SIM-cards, networks but the problem keeps coming back.
It works for a couple hours - maybe a few days and sporadically locks so I cannot view any web page or use any web based service through GPRS. GPRS seams to be connected but no flow at all on GPRS. I havn't found any fix for thing. Just have to wait. :/
Internet works like a charm through WiFi-connection. Sadly I'm about to go back to Gingerbread.
I'm on ICS (ARHD 6.3.0) And have no issues with 3G/HSDPA mobile network. FB, Whatsapp, Chat, Trillian works all the time :S
BTW, I changed my preferred network from WCDMA preffered to GSM Auto (PRL) in the Phone Information menu.

Check and make sure the apns are correct
It's a known issue.so don't stress it to much

For what its worth, I've had great coverage on VI 3 and 3.5. Like folks have said, double check ur apn (make sure it didn't dump or something) and verify that your using the radio recommended by ur rom developer and not just the newest radio.
When I flash 7.2 stable or any nightly after it, wifi calling quality is AWFUL. It's nearly impossible to understand what the other person is saying due to dropouts and static and such. It kind of sounds like cell calling when you have almost 0 signal (dropouts, distortion). Cell calling works and sounds fine, not wifi calling.
If I flash back to 20120603-NIGHTLY-p999, wifi calling works fine again. And YES, I do have the new March baseband.
I've tried this on multiple wifi networks that I KNOW have plenty of bandwidth, and the results are the same.
Anyone else have this issue? Solutions?
I'm having the issue as well even more so I'm having issues connecting, if/once it does connect I get static as well.

Yup, I'm on LG-P999-V21y, which I think is the only one that works with the March baseband.
Would RIL affect wifi calling anyway? I assumed RIL only had to do with the cell radio.
I was on 20c for some reason. I just switch hex to 21y hopefully that'll help.

I keep getting this at my work I changed nothing from yesterday ans it was fine... and whn at home I got it there also. Which is fine I get service at home but not at my work.

I'll look into it next time I'm at work at that location... It's a College arena with about 10 wi-fi routers all over the place... still Wi-Fi calling at my house where nothing has changed is acting stupid... just takes minutes to connect at times, and if it connects it sounds weird and distorted... I went back to a OTA GB rom and nothing was wrong with wi-fi calling, so i dont know... Thanks for the link though.

stock 7.2 kernel -- it works fine for me, if and only if you
(1) are on 21y baseband
(2) use GetRIL to make sure you have 21y RIL
(3) flash Owain's fix for new baseband
(4) use Trinity ELPmax kernel..
Then it's fan-frickin-tastic.
Otherwise, it works, but you have to reboot all the time to keep it working.
Hey guys this has always bothered me on cm10 it won't even let me connect right now....I'm on jellybam and trying to connect to a 2wire...not having fun...any suggestions

happens to be a problem with CM10 i believe
This problem I've nicknamed the dammit dammit sunofabeach problem. It seems to only effect a handful of us when flashing anything other than a sense based Rom. I've searched, poked, prodded, yelled, bribed and done things im truly ashamed of to find a fix to this problem... No dice homie....

Its narrowed down to 2wire routers.. I've tried admin passwords that didn't help.. only other advice I got was to buy another wireless router and connect them via ethernet
Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2
I have found it to be far better when the SSID is broadcasted. Also sometimes enabling/disabling WPS quickly helps. or just continually trying to connect and moving around. Sense roms do not have any issues with them.
Worked for me
I had the same issues last night after doing a fresh install of CM10 using [KERNEL][12/31] rohan.kernel.b7 [Linux 3.0.57][GCC 4.7][2.0ghz][S2W][INTELLI][SIO] After a fresh flash of stock kernel the problem went away. I then REFLASHED Rohans kernel and all is well. It seems some of these phones are finikey with kernels, so if one may not work for you it may for the other guy......I am convinced this is a kernel issue, so flash and reflash and let me know the results.
Usually it connects automatically within range, its just when you want it to connect that it refuses. It also kills battery constantly trying to connect. It's a known issue between the router and AOSP roms.

I was having this probelm with my 2wire =/
Now, I don't have it.. For some odd reason. I'm running the newest build for MIUIv4 with Rohans b7. I have yet to have connectivity issues.
Try flashing my MIUIv4 and see what happens?
