[MIUI] Sound-Fixes for Desire S - HTC Desire S

Hi, i can' t post in tehe Developement Section, so i post my message here:
I found a solution for the echo-problem (calling counterpart hears echo) and the speaker problem with FM-radio in Superkid's MIUI Version.
I worked on it for some days, and found now a working combination that solves for me all problems wih sound on MIUI. (I use Stock Kernel).
Result: No Echo-Effect and working Speakers also with FM-Radio.
All you have to do is to get the following original three files from Superkids's 1.9.9 Version (yes the old version!) and put in the same place in the actual ROM (1.9.23 or 1.9.30), than flash this modified ROM. The files are:
/system/etc/firmware/default_mfg.acdb
/system/etc/firmware/default_org.acdb
/system/etc/firmware/default_org_nel.acdb
You should place this three files in the ROM.
(Pay attention: Do not replace the default.acdb file!)
Can someone forward this also to Superkid and bioan?
Thanks' to Superkid for his "Super" Work!

Oh, great finding. Please upload these files somewhere and I will create a flashable zip for this version.

Will test this right away!

Aren't these files kernel related ?
Anyway, the echo issue seems related with the loud sound issue which should be fixed in the next kernel release...

【Newest CallRecording Fix】The most perfect fix for CM to realize call recording

【Newest CallRecording Fix】The most perfect fix for CM to realize call recording
As we know, Call recording is legally in China, so the files in this zip is from China's Defy+ 2.3.6, I test already, no FC , no Crash, and all things are perfect
I see another tread has this too, but files in that thread are older from 2.3.4,
files in my thread is the newest from Defy+ 2.3.6 of China's ROM.
just install it with Recovery, your phone will be OK on Call recording
View attachment auto_recorder_fix.zip
better than CRC CRC32 9f7aa5ef. i used this file quite a long time.
not perfect too, some crashes in my CM7,
in most of cases, happened in picking up calls but no communication(voice) at all, cannot end call, have to restart the unit

you should install this fix with three lib files, then all things will be OK, if you just use just one lib file, there are problems
will try rest of file later, unit cannot boot atm during cm9 test

We also need the dialer where we get the option to record the calls. In the default call recorder app we cant launch it during an active call.
On CM7 just libaudio.so is needed . I don't know for CM9, i will try this weekend when new built of CM9 com .
Thanks
For CM7 i use this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17291414&postcount=30
Work fine with Total Recall .

[FIX][PARANOIDANDROID] Fullscreen Bootanimation and Camera Fix

FULLSCREEN BOOTANIMATION
Has anyone else ever found that the Paranoid Android boot animation being 720*1280 annoyed them? Maybe even slightly?
It didn't really bug me until a friend brought it up.
Anyways, I've made the boot animation fullscreen (800*1280) and I just thought I would share.
Installation
- put the attached (or mediafire mirror) bootanimation.zip file in your /system/media folder using your favourite root enabled explorer
- say yes to replace
- make sure the permissions are rw-r--r-- so like an upside down L or:
x x -
x - -
x - -
whichever makes sense to you.
- reboot and enjoy. ^^
If for whatever reason you want to revert back to the original 720*1280 bootanimation, I've uploaded it here.
You will need to rename orig_bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip first though.
CAMERA FIX (creds. theguy)
The PA builds used a CM9 nightly that contained a bug that caused the camera to go all screwy in external apps, such as Skype and Barcode Scanners.
While this is fixed in the later CM9 builds, PA has yet to be updated to incorporate those fixes.
By replacing the PA libcameraservice.so file from a later CM9 build, the camera issue can be fixed.
Installation
- download the libcameraservice.so file from http://db.tt/L0J33M7p
- put it in your /system/lib
- say yes to replace
- change permissons to rw-r--r-- (refer to above)
- reboot and enjoy ^^
Thanks! This bootanimation was nice and cute!:fingers-crossed:
Good job bro=D
Thank you!!
This is awesome..
It fix my issue..
Thank you a lot..
Works fine. Thanks!!!!
Camera scanner all fixed
Thanks for this, loving paranoid android v. 05 on Note but scanner issue on camera was driving me nuts. All good now... So grateful!
why the hell my note goes in bootloop after placing libcameraservice.so in lib folder?!

I'm guessing your rom doesn't support bootanimation.zip custom animations.
You might have to double check with Utacka.

Also if you could add instructions for creating the Directory for the first time cause when you first install V4A
"/sdcard/VIPER4Android/Profile/"
will not be in your file managers.
Upon installing and setting up V4A we need to simply save the stock profile and then the Profile directory will be made

Due to what I believe has been deemed an issue with the One M8 amplifier drivers since CM11, all audio on CM11/CM12 based roms are VERY loud which leads to tons of distortion. As a guy who really appreciates music and sound quality, I haven't been able to stick with a CM rom for longer than a day without being annoyed by it. There are some settings that are out here that are supposed to get rid of the issue when using V4A for lollipop. I tried it one and still wasn't satisfied... However, with all these new CM12 based roms coming out, I kind of want to give it another try. Maybe some of the presets in this thread could help, but i have not tried and nobody here seems to know either :good:
hope that helps.

Thanks. I believe it came out of the idol 5.5 cm 12.1 thread because someone mentioned it didnt' have a radio but I could not find it when I searched the thread. This has some files in etc and framework in addition to the app so hopefully will do ok...I'll make sure to reboot as you indicated.
Hopefully this thread will also be useful to anyone ELSE looking for the radio app as they try the new Rom's we now have available such as Blisspop, AICP etc.
*update* The 2nd one works fine and didn't even require the reboot to tune in channels. Perhaps the 1st one only works on stock roms as opposed to cm based ones.

Found the correct thread - changed to give credit. Maxniper posted it
Is the second radio still working ? Cause I've flashed it about a month ago, and it stopped working on its own. Tried to reflash it, but same is happening. It finds stations, but no sound is being played at all. Weird .
