can I wake up my Droid using Home or Menu button?

I've seen there is script for HTC Desire to allow changing the wake up other than the power button, do we have one for Droid 2? I like to either use the menu or home to wake it up instead of power. TIA.

not unless you figured out a way to get physical buttons on it... the capacitive buttons are unresponsive when the phone is asleep or else it would be awake 24/7 in your pocket and your battery life would be nil

It's true, we have the same feature for the Droid incredible. But the difference is that we have a physical button that we can press.

I see, just my wishful thinking .

You can download the app NoLock and then you can unlock/wake-up the phone with any of the physical buttons; ie volume, camera, and power buttons, but you will lose the lockscreen. Or you could get WidgetLocker, also can use physical buttons to wake-up, but you still have the lockscreen.

Holding back button kills app

Is it possible to have that tweak ported from cm7 for when exiting a app to hold the back button to kill our apps and keep our phones at full performance

Id rather have hold the back button take us home, but love the idea.

It already does if u use launcher pro just gp to settings and whatever u set the home button too the back button gets set too as well

[Q] Mod to use the power button to take pictures

Hey guys,
is there any mod out there to use the power button to take pictures?
I find it quit annoying that u have to press the screen to take pictures.

The only pyramid/sensation ROM i've seen something like this is CM7. In the stock camera app you can set up either your vol up/down, search or power button to shoot a picture.

How can u do this configuration in the stock camera app?
When I click the context Button when I am in the camera app something like that does not show up.

Its in menu > advanced options as i remember (i'm on ARHD right now). If the camera app starts fc-ing, try another option instead (like vol up).

[Q] Volume Button Wake

My power button broke, no big deal on gingerbread CM7 it allowed the volume button to wake the device. Is there an ICS rom with that option. Does CM9 have it? Thank you in advance

Don't know CM9, but AOKP has it
You can also use 3rd part application like GO locker which has volume key wake up

You can do that on any rom http://dalvik.me/volume-rocker-wake/

the cm9 kangs have it. but, you dont need it or any other volume rocker wake apps on ics(any ics rom). if you go to the main phone settings, security, lockscreen, then disable the lockscreen. now you can wake your nexus s with its volume rocker, no special app or hack needed

Need help with button remapping.

Is there any way I can simply map the power button as volume up and volume up button as power button throughout the OS? I am running CM10.1.

Just get button remapper from the market or from the forums. I remapped my volume - to power and power to camera focus (because the button is faulty )

I don't understand why could i remap all softkeys and physical buttons when i was on gingerbread but since ics and jelly belly i can only remap physical keys.
Using Button Remapper, latest version.
