Is it possible to have that tweak ported from cm7 for when exiting a app to hold the back button to kill our apps and keep our phones at full performance

Id rather have hold the back button take us home, but love the idea.
It already does if u use launcher pro just gp to settings and whatever u set the home button too the back button gets set too as well

When holding the home button to bring up recent apps, in 2.3.3 roms , the home button needs to be held down longer than in cm7 roms...and its annoying..Anyway to change this in the 2.3 roms and decrease the delay?
Is it possible?

Do you ever felt that you have too small hands for the o3d? Or you just don't like to stretch your finger all the way to the top for unlocking your device? Then you should try this. With this tweak you can unlock the device with a click on the 3d button.
You can only do this in recovery with mounted system and ADB.
In adb *adb pull /system/usr/keylayout/omap-keypad.kl C:\
Open the file in wordpad and you get a list with different buttons. Scroll down to
3D_HOT_KEY
change it to
3D_HOT_KEY WAKE
Save the file and push it back to your phone
*adb push C:\ omap-keypad.kl /system/usr/keylayout/omap-keypad.kl
REBOOT YOUR DEVICE!
You can also assign other buttons the wake up function e.g the volume rocker by adding the line WAKE after it
GOOD LUCK
It does not work, maybe it works when the phone is connected with cable but when it is in deep sleep mode it does not work at all.
Yeah i noticed that now. You can lock it and within about 20 sec you can unlock it with the 3d button but then it enters deep sleep.
Did you try it?

Yes I have been trying to do this for a quite a time now nothing seems to be working. I hope you find a way to do it power button is soldered not the part of motherboard itself so if it breaks you are in trouble. I don't understand why LG made this kind of mistake.
I also tried to edit the qwerty.kl but it had the same results. One way would be to write a script that prevents the phone to enter deep sleep but i guess it would drain alot of battery. Am i right?

Exactly my friend that will drain the battery. I think maybe they'll review this problem in upcoming ICS update.
But how if the power button is not connected to the software ?
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
I don't know I was to wishing they might resolve this issue.
I've noticed that when you plug your headset in that you can press the headset button and the music will start. And beacouse the music is on the phone is not in deep sleep mode and then you can press the 3d button to wake the screen. So if I could somehow make the 3d button act like the headset and not start the music when I press it then this should work!

It won't work that way.
When the music is playing, it's not in deep sleep mode as you stated.
If you want to use the 3D Button to wake it instead, why not switch the Power Button and the 3D Button functions.
Power Button = 3D function
3D Button = Power function
So the power button is then connected to the motherboard and the software?

Not necessarily.
The power button will function as the power button when off, but when on, the functions change.

you can try editing the keyboard files manually, or else try it with the Button Remapper app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464
although i tried changing the OK key to Power, and it didn't seem to take. as for the on-screen nav buttons, i wouldn't mind getting rid of them, but my guess is it would require some fairly heavy re-coding. i have no idea, but it might be crazy dreaming lol. although maybe some custom ROMs that aren't based on the stock software might not have those nav buttons?
Is there recent option for the hardware button. Couldn't find it. Trying to multitask

By default, you can long press home.
You can go into Settings > Buttons and remap the buttons. I personally remapped Menu to Recent apps.

Sure if you want to, its called screen off. Or just enable Status Bar Double Tap to Sleep.
Has anyone figured out how to get the soft menu button back after it was replaced by the app switcher button?
Press and hold of the app switcher just triggers the multi-window mode.
I use an app that has no menu in their interface and really need this button back!
Help!
Thanks!

On my device when there is no menu button in the app I get a floating menu button, you don't?
I see the floating menu button (with 3 dots) in the XDA app. However, in pulse reader, it does not appear...
