My sensation actually drains battery less whe its using somehing or on. This happen on pyramid3d. And miui frm tripndroid. Illike I'll listen to mussic for 1 hour, and it will be 100 to 96. And when I let it standby, it will go to like 88 in a hour. Is this normal?

I had an issue similar to this. Every other day the battery would drain in half a day (when usually it would last a good 12 hours +)
Under the battery usage tab it was showing the phone as being awake for almost all of the time (Even though I hadn't used or touched the phone)
I think it was a Kernel issue (Correct me please if I'm wrong, just a small time n00b) As I was using the stock shipped rom but just rooted.
Anyway, upgraded now, and it seems to be ok so far! *touch wood*
Would suggest you look under the battery usage graph and see what that tells you.
Ill reply in 12 hours. Since I just ubplugged from charger

You could've installed a bad app. Faulty/bad apps will stop the phone from sleeping. Look for apps that (when you install them) list that they can prevent the phone from sleeping in the permissions list.
If you've not installed too many, remove one at a time, leave for a while, and then check battery section in Settings to see if it's no longer staying awake.
If you find the app, contact the developer through the market so they can fix it.

Also, if you have it, keep WiFi connected when in range. Uses less battery than mobile data. Switch it off when you're not connected of course.

I just got a new battery from HTC, a replacement for the stock one um using. Should I charge the new battery as sion as I put it on the phone or shall I use it and wait til it die before I charge it to have a better battery life?

The batteries that come with a new phone are usually around 40%, they do this because 40% is a perfect amount to charge at. If you battery you receive is at around 35%-45%, I would give it a full charge, if any less, or at 85%+ I would use it until it runs out, then search the android market for a battery calibration app.

I have a stock phone no rooting or not flashed. Are there any battery calibration app for a stock phone?

I just used the replacement battery but everytime I look at the stats it still shows the stats from the old battery. How can I clear the stats to start a new one. My phone is pure stock out of the box no root or flashing. Ty.

I flashed my sensation with the Android Revolution HD 6.0.3 XE (ICS)and from the comments I read before flashing it should have an excellent battery life but it doesn't. The battery runs down so fast and my WiFi does not detect near by WiFi even when its on.. is it something I did wrongly?

You need to get an app from the market called Battery Calibration. Charge your phone 'till its full then hit the little button inside the app that says "calibrate". This will delete your batterystats.bin file and the phone will generate a fresh one. After you do this run the phone all the way dead. You will see your battery life improve after that.
If the battery calibration doesn't work then try and check the settings of your apps.
For example, the Guardian app has a default refresh rate of 15 minutes which is a sure battery drainer.

So just yesterday I encountered this problem and i would be grateful if someone would be able to help me. When I reboot my sensation I end up with around 20% less juice. Any ideas? It doesn't happen all the time, just the first time after recharging. I'm running CM 7.1.

I'm not sure but it may be connected to the calibration process. Did you calibrate the battery?
Have the same.
Reboot it again and its back to normal.
I guess its a wrong callibration or a bad charge or something like that

I think I did. I used the Battery Calibration app.

Hi, I'm rather new to android and I recently bought an anker battery from amazon since my stock battery was draining battery really fast. However, I other than the first day if usage where my battery life was really good, I've realized that my battery isn't doing very well now. Light usage of the internet will cause a drop of abit 1% per min. I've searched threads and have downloaded GSam battery monitor.
From the app, I found out that most of my battery drain was due to "Kernel (Android OS)". Here are my results. I would appreciate it if you guys could take the time to help me find out what has been causing this battery drain.
I don't have any other apps open btw.
Thanks a bunch!
ps: typing this post drained 6% of my battery.
