Please help me here. My phone is stuck in the download mode. It is very different from other forum posts. I just tried to see the download mode after seeing how to do it and i tried it. Nit it does not go back. I did not try to install rom and stuff like the other forum posts. I have it rooted long ago to use titanium backup and nothing more. What do i do now? I am unable to open the back cover. So i have to let the battery drain and check it again tomorrow morning.
It is back now. I managed to remove the battery and when I restarted it went to download mode again. I let it drain all the battery then I charged and it was back working.

Yes thats the only way u can recover from download mode.
I suggest you install and use the attached program. It will help u to reboot, , recover and download easily, and can enjoy all the mods around this forum

I was attempting to ODIN back to stock and it hung. Waited like 20min and got frustrated and pulled the battery. Now I get this screen. Is all hope lost?
I did try searching the forum before posting and all I found was soft brick action.
HELP!!!!
Since I a noob, no pics. The screen has cellphone with and error triangle then a computer. I can link to image in a pm.
So put it back into download mode and use Odin again.
I cannot get DL mode. The three button/battery out mode doesn't work. All I can get is the phone!comp icon.

that isnt a hard brick you can still get into download mode and ODIN usually works from the screen with the triangle/computer. have ODIN open then pull out your battery then try reconnecting

You are correct sir. I switched USB ports and ODN saw the phone. I couldn't get it to any other mode other than phone..!..comp. Tried ODIN and a little blue progress bar showed up. Thanks for the replys fellas, if you ever need a bartenders expertise, hit me up.

Also want to let you guys know, if you didnt know already, that the usb jigs work on this device.
ok so i have been trying and trying to flash CWM all day and during this course i have encountered about 10 soft bricks haha...anyway i was stuck in download mode and i couldnt get odin to recognize my phone so i pulled the battery while it was still plugged into the computer, screen still stayed on so i unplugged the usb. this has to be in this order, reinsert the battery and dont push anything, plug in usb again and charging animation should show, after that you should be able to boot, not sure if this is a method to exit download mode without a soft brick had been talked about already but its come in handy so far what do you all think? was hoping this could be of some use to someone thanks and have a pleasant tomorrow!

not that this helps but i just flashed miui v4 on my cappy and during an early attempt i was stuck in dl mode. Pulling the battery was my automatic and panic induced solution luckily it worked and the cappy is sailing smooth on miui.
You can simply hold all the buttons to boot out of download mode...
Hey people, My phone is not turnin on.. It ain't getting into download or recovery mode.. is it bricked? If bricked then how did it got bricked? I only tried to flash CM9 although it was freezing everytime.. then switched back to XXKPE.. (freeze) then to DDLF2.. it was working fine.. but then again I flash to CM9 freeze again.. and then slowly phone switched off..next time recovery mode was not coming only download mode was working and now nothing is coming. PHONE IS JUST BLANK NOT SWITCHING ON
Hmm, I think it is Dead (hard bricked). There are some ways you can try:-
1. Try removing your battery and put it back and try if it is going to download mode.
2. If its not going to Download mode - Try doing a JTAG Repair or visit the nearest Samsung Service Center. .

Your phone won't just "die" for no reason, you did something wrong, or it's just a random hardware failure.
Look at replies from your older topics (about the same issue).
now if your phone is not going to download mode. charge it for some time n try
once in download mode flash pit->kpe-> kpq or latest firmware .

Buddy dont xreat duplicate threads plz. It spam forum. Anyway ur phone is absolutely fine. Flash xxkpe first & then ddlf2 rom. If phone is switching ON perfectly then no problem at all.
I'll suggest u to redownload cm9 alpha 11 again & check that whether cm9 zip is ok or not. I suspect that ur downloaded cm9 file is currupted.
Hello I just got this skyrocket after losing my i777 that I had rooted and was running Task650 JB 4.2.2 rom. Well I went and download odin and openrecover-twrp-2.4.4.0-skyrocket. I did just what the sticky said to do run odin and click on pda and put the openrecovery tar file in. I then took my battery out wait a few sec put it back in and press both up and down volume key.
While hold down the keys I put the usb cable in and when it came on I press up and got into download mode. I started odin and it was downloading and then it fail. I didn't put the battery back plate back on when I first took the battery out and when I got up I hit the cord and it lifted the phone up and the battery came out. I put the battery back in and when I tried to get back in download mode or recovery I get this message firmware upgrade encountered an issue. I download kies and that didn't help it wont connect to kies. it does to my computer and when you start odin and I plug it in I get the yellow bar so it does detect the phone. I just cant get into download mode. Can someone please help me.

Can someone please walk me through the process of getting into download mode It was stock. It didn't even have the new updates. This was a phone that a friend sold me real cheap. I did a factory reset when I got it.

If I understood your post correctly:
You can't get into download mode, because you're already in it.
"Firmware" message IS in fact another screen of the same download mode.
If you see the phone in ODIN - then why would you even ask questions instead of trying to flash?

I had the same exact problem the other night. Just run ODIN again and then you should be able to get to recovery and / or download mode.
STORY
I installed a stock ROM for my Galaxy Tab 7.7 (P-6800) and it was stuck at the flashing SAMSUNG logo (the one with the tune) and so I just left it there and went to sleep. The next day I tried turning on the tablet but it didn't work so I booted into Download Mode and did a NAND erase. I was planning to install a stock ROM from SAMMOBILE but now I can't boot into Download Mode. When I try to, it goes into the warning screen and after a second or so, it becomes black. I figured it could have been out of battery or a button is broken. I have tried charging the tablet with wall charger (2.1A) but it doesn't seem to work. I could occasionally get it successfully into Download Mode but it will turn off itself for no reason.
PROBLEM
THE PROBLEM IS THAT I CANNOT BOOT INTO ANYTHING NOT EVEN DOWNLOAD MODE SO PLEASE DON'T GIVE ME GUIDES ON HOW TO FLASH.
I'M ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR A GUIDE ON HOW TO ENTER DOWNLOAD MODE WITHOUT USING PHYSICAL BUTTONS.
THERE IS NO ROM INSTALLED SO DON'T TELL ME TO GO THE TERMINAL OR ANYTHING. IT IS ABSOLUTELY EMPTY ONLY HARDWARE AND DOWNLOAD MODE IS INSIDE THE TABLET.
Anyways, please help. I am trying to get daniel_hk's cyanogen mod on this for my friend and I don't think he would expect me giving a bricked tablet to him.
