Couple Questions Of Comparison - HTC Sensation

So I have a Sensation obviously, but looking over at the G2x section it seems more active. And their benches seem higher.
Is that phone actually faster than this phone? Does this phone have no CM7 Because its just newer?
Basically what I am getting to is as a Device which is faster, and has better longevity in everyone else s view. I am trying to decide if I should swap it for a G2x I have a few days.

Benchmarks are bull**** at the mo as they don't properly take into account dual core CPUs. End of the day, get what feels right for you. Ideally, have a go on both of them before buying

G2X had a lot of problems make sure they are fixed first if you are going to switch ...... I love HTC sense that's why I wouldn't trade for the g2x plus benchmarks are bull crap

Well I had a G2x for a bit and traded for the sensation, thinking I was trading up. For sure the build quality is better one this phone. And as for the bugs in the G2x they have been fixed mostly. But my main thing is I cant find any good comparisons of the actual cpu/gpu between this Snapdragon 3 and the Tegra 2... So I want the fastest hardware.

I had the G2X briefly when it first came out and other than the random reboot issues (i think it's been fixed since), the phone was super fast and fluid. Fastest phone I've ever owned. I think it seemed faster because it was pure AOSP with no Sense bogging it down. The hardware felt great in your hand too. Dare I say it felt sort of like the iPhone 4?? I think if they have fixed the issues, it would be a wash in my opinion. The Sensation does have the best display resolution and a solid hardware bundle, so like everyone has said, it's all about your personal choice. Both phones are amazing! Try em both, and keep the best one for you.

Yeah that makes sense, I just don't know for sure which is better for me. And when it comes to testing the speed I haven't gone off benchmarks on this phone as they seem inaccurate. But instead off of the games playing smoothly or not. Mainly Asphalt 6. But Also Lets golf 2 and other 3d games.
This phone to me actually feels better in my hand, it has a smaller form but a bigger nicer screen.

Seriously considering ditching my Vibrant for this phone

So when I bought my Vibrant, I knew this phone was coming soon. I got the Vibrant anyway because of all it was promising to be. (And because I have absolutely no patience whatsoever.)
Well, that Vibrant, other than the beautiful screen, is NOT all it promised. Yes, I can flash ROMs and blah blah blah, but I have no idea what I'm doing in that area, so it's probably not too smart to try in my case. Besides, shouldn't a phone just work? I understand that they will all have issues, but this Vibrant is chock full of 'em!
Anyhoo...just curious to know the opinions of current MT4G owners. Do you find that the "issues", if any, are worth overlooking? The Vibrant has so many. At first, I had no problem saying "eh, it's a new phone, they'll work it out". I'm realizing over time that not only have they not worked it out, but it's just getting worse over time.
What issues are you having with the vibrant? I only really had a borked GPS. The screen was great, but text was a little fuzzy, which is unfortunately what I do most on a phone. That said, the mt4g just fits and feels better in my hand, vibrant was too awkward and slippery. I still have both, will decide which one to keep... but the Vibrant running on TeamWhiskey's Onyx ROM was super fast. The mt4g felt 'laggy' to me out of the box compared to it and my modded nexus one. I guess we just have to wait for some good roms.
Edit: by laggy i mean the time between swiping your finger, and actually observing the screen start to move. the phone is fast opening apps and what not, so i'm not talking about that kind of lag. I guess I mean the 'responsiveness' in the UI is a bit slower than what I'm used to and I'm convinced it's the bloatware and mySense that HTC has loaded it up with...hoping for a vanilla android ROM to flash =)

That's the beauty of buying an HTC product - they actually do work out issues.
This phone though, right out of the box it does everything I wanted it to and does it WELL.
I had a Vibrant, got rid of it for a Nexus One (which was a great phone - but this one was better!) - I was tired of the GPS issues and the lack of support, and then what little support they did give had galacticly POOR QA on it.

Although added software on the phone can't help with the overall speed of the phone, I really doubt the minimal bloatware has any effect on the speed of the UI as you put it. The effect of the bloatware on a stock ROM like this with all its underlying processes shouldn't amount to much at all, as evidenced by how fast apps can open and the general speed of the I/O. I think rather, the ever so slight lag in the UI may be more of a hardware and/or driver issue, as that component does not vary at all. Whether you have just rebooted the phone, deleted system app (bloatware if you will), or at any other time, that screen response and movement never varies. I have just "frozen" every system app I could get away with, and quite frankly, I see no difference in overall speed of the phone. It just flies.

This is what I thought as well. But the thing is, the length of the 'lag' in response to my touch actually differs between applications. When I use launcher pro's launcher, it's very quick, but if I'm in say, the settings of the browser menu, or some of the other "mySense themed" things, it's a lot slower to respond I find. Maybe it's just me, but I'm kind of anal about speed. Still, I'll reserve judgement until I can get a vanilla ROM on and get rid of this mySense thing. I agree, the phone is really snappy, it's just that some apps are a bit slower to pickup my touch input than others.
Thanks for your replies
I may just get the MT4G outright and try it out for a few days. See which I like better, then either return the MT or sell the Vibrant. I'm so wishy washy with phones...maybe wishy washy isn't the word so much as fickle.

I had a rootes vibrant for 3 weeks and I liked it alot! The vibrant was fast, the screen was great and I was happy with it. I decided to trade it in for the MT4G and never looked back. Trust me when I say this...the Vibrant got nothing on this MT4G. I change phones alot and I think I finally found a phone that satisfies me

I don't know if the vibrant has NOTHING on the mt4g... I'm fairly sure the external speaker was far superior to the MT4G's in terms of quality (bass production) as well as volume. The sound production through headphones was also superior... it seems HTC phones are plagued with mediocre audio quality. That, and the arguably better screen (colors popped more, but text is fuzzier on amoled/samoled screens). But ya, the MT4G's LED flash, working GPS, better feel (objective), more ram, snapdragon (lets face it, samsung doesn't seem to give a **** about optimizing the JIT for hummingbird right now), makes it a winner.
I made the Switch to the MT4G the Laggy-ness of the vibrant + horrible Battery Life and the cluster F%^k that is the froyo updating made me pull the trigger the MT4G is wicked fast the text is easier to read than the vibrant and the MT4G doesn't feel cheap like the vibrant, and the crappy GPS on the vibrant was also a killer, Maybe with the nexus 2 sammy will do better. See ya sammy

As far as audio quality through headphones, the Vibrant uses a DSP chip which enhances sound quality. To me, it was the best sounding phone i've ever heard but I hardly ever listen to music from my phone.
I sold my vibrant for the MT4G and i'm happy I did. It has many more features, is much quicker, has perfect GPS and MUCH better battery life.
Vibrant>G2>MT4G
And I'm 100% happy. Im just wishing I would of gotten red.... Lol

If you can bear one more +1, I too had the Vibrant for a month, and had a laundry list of wishes for it. The screen was beautiful, but I don't miss it a tad. The MT4g just has everything I wished for on the Vibrant, plus little extras that I love as I discover them. This is my keeper phone.

Thank you! More and more I'm realizing that I should definitely ditch the Vibrant. While the screen is absolutely beautiful, I think that seems to be the only thing (as far as my needs go) that the Vibrant has over the MT. I'm sure in the development world there are many, many other things that the Vibrant has over it, but in my little novice world, I think the MT is more for me.
I'm sorry I'm not trying to bash on any vibrant owners but I held a vibrant and it felt like a piece of plastic on my hands with a beautiful display that's all. When I got the mt4g from the moment I felt it in my hands u can tell the quality of this phone has with a nice weight to it. The size imo is the perfect size for my hands and I'm coming from an hd2 4.3inch feels too bulky especially when ur out with ur friends at a party and ur trying to get ur phone out to take pics lol trust me I been there. The mt4g not only feels perfect on ur hands but performs flawlessly with no lag no hangs this baby is meant for all kinds of multitasking u can throw at it overall this phone is a beast!

I'm not trying to bash the phone either. I truly wanted to love it. I tried to love it. I even have days that I DO love it. Sadly, they are getting farther and fewer between. I need a phone that's going to perform the way I need it to now, not whenever they feel like getting around to it. It's really too bad, because I think the Vibrant has such huge potential.
I have both the Vibrant and the myTouch 4G. I'm currently using the myTouch and I have to say that I am missing my Vibrant. I do like the led light, the flash, the trackpad, front camera, and wifi calling though. What I don't like about the myTouch is that the buttons feel cheap, the screen isn't as great as the SGS, and the speakers sound bad. The Vibrant screen is a lot better because of the super AMOLED. The only downside about the screen is that it drains a lot of battery. I like the Vibrant's interface more and the 16GB internal memory. The GPU on the Vibrant is a great plus and the camera is pretty good. I think froyo is what my Vibrant needs, then I would pick it for sure. I don't have that many things installed on my myTouch yet, but stock applications keep force closing, I don't know if anyone else has that problem. I love how fast the myTouch restarts though, the SGS is kind of slow to start up...
i have both phones and from using the mt4g the past two weeks, i'm really torn between the two. but it's good to have to seperate lines for work and home
at any rate, i have found that the vibrant, with root and the right mods/hacks outshines the mt4g in performance. quadrant scores which surpass 3000 are some what proof of that. however, i don't put linpack nor quadrant scores too much on a pedestal because both were designed mainly for testing snapdragon devices.
the vibrant is an incredible device for gaming and video playback. i have tested 3d games and emulators which use tons of memory. my myt4g lags and on almost every psx or snesoidrom that i have using psx or snes emulators v. the vibrant. gameloft games such as sandstorm don't seem to run as smooth either. graphical display on these games look much much better on the vibrant.
out of the box though, the mt4g is plenty fast as i don't really see myself needing to flash custom roms immediately. the gps works flawlessly, no need for lagfixes like the vibrant. even with the custom espresso skin, the myt4g is super fast. on top of that, i seem to get better signal 3 signals vs. the vibrant.
and that's my short review of both phones. right now, i use the myt4g primarily for work as it has exceptional battery life and durability over the vibrant.
i use the vibrant as my personal phone because it's an incredible gaming and media playback device. now, i just need to wait for that new galaxy 2 to come out..

I am going out on a limb here and share my deepest feelings with all of you.
I LOVE my g2x!
There, I said it. I feel a little vulnerable right now... may need a hug.
There is so much anti g2x here and it makes me sad. This is a great phone. Nay, a great big beast of s phone. It has it foibles(bet you don't hear that often) but they will be worked out. I had a troubled phone for a while... reboots, battery heat up, etc... didn't return it, but I kept fiddling with it, removed some apps, messed with settings, trolled the forums and I haven't had a reboot in a week! Runs as smooth as aloe vera lotion now.
I think that people are jumping ship too early, and for the Sensation?!? Really?? That phone is also having issues with reboots and stuff not working... PLUS it is slower, has an iffy screen and runs Sense!
So if you do trade down for that other phone... just go, and stop telling us about it.
Good luck and we'll see you when you come back...

Its a gorgeous piece of hardware, with a really solid cameras, and I'm loving having the speakers in another place than laid flat on the back.
Not being satisfied with the dev support, which is kind of more a privilege than most people here realize, made me realize that having a phone that works more often than not is worth running on Stock(with root and a few choice mods).
Having been around since 1.5 dropped, I thought about what I needed in custom roms then vs what I need now. The G1 needed severe performance boosts to operate like the current crop does on its worst days, apps2sd and keeping an ext partition for caching on was important. I got my power control widget and navigation in 1.6 (I was a big fan of SuperD roms) and I was ecstatic.
Fast forward and I get damn near most of that right out the box. do i need the miscelleaneous features of cm7, like notificationbar power controls? Nope, I can go back to living like I did with my eclair Nexus One(and then with CM6) or my G1.
So comparing the current offerings to just stock, I dont feel like im at a total loss. It's just the way this phones lifespan panned out, and really you cant win them all.
And I am definitely not impressed with the Sensation and Sense3.0. My boss broke the volume key on the store demo the day he opened the box. Dropped it once and the rocker snapped out in the worst way. weird design choices all over that phone.
I really think the dev support will happen when GB drops. Then we can find the new things we didn't know we couldn't live without.
God, remember 1.5? Seems like so long ago... I remember way back when jesusfreke was showing us the what was possible, and when cyan got his cease and desist letter from google... my G1 will always have a special place in my heart...

I love using the G2X and I'm glad I get to keep her. She will be my hacking/gaming phone. Both the G2X and the Sensation have there own problems like you said. I was just lucky enough to get two bug free devices. As said in my review, I think the G2X has a smoother UI and is very responsive. That being said, the. Sensation doesn't even come close until you disable all of those silly animations on Sense. Some games run better on the G2X and some run better on the Sensation. Homerun Hartford 3D for example runs smoother and looks better on the Sensation but dungeon defenders runs smoother on the G2X. Everyone just needs to start making there own decissions and stop making posts like "Bellow Sensation. Bye G2X". I picked the Sensation as my daily driver due to the larger display without being bigger that the G2X. The colors are sharper and appear to pop more on the Sensation but the blacks on the G2X a great. When both devices are sitting right next to each other its unbelievable how muck crisper and clearer the text on the Sensation is. I also use the camera a lot and the Sensation takes much better photos and HD video. Both devices are great but I would say to someone who puts gaming at the top of there smart phone list, get the G2X. If your priority is emailing, web browsing, RSS, ebooks and taking pictures then get the Sensation.

i'm still a fresh new owner of my G2x (got it yesterday). but i've already thrown on 3 custom roms and have decided to stick w/the mcr GB leak (2.3.3) since its more vanilla than CM7. CM7 is just WAY to much extras i don't care for; i wish they had a kitchen sink option like paul's MCR roms do. i love being able to pick and choose what items and tweaks.
anywho, i've been an android owner since the N1 dropped and must say that it almost seems like its more people tinkering with an OS and parts they shouldn't be or don't understand. permission changes on a system file can cause your phone to do some crazy things, i've done it a few times myself (get in a boot loop by renaming a system sound or font, etc)
the G2x's hardware specs made me drop the full off contract price on it. i'm just hoping we see the GB roms mature even more, hopefully once the official GB hits; we'll still have some devs w/one that will update their roms.
sure would love to see a Honeycomb port. this thing has the specs.

Another satisfied G2X owner right here. Got mine off some guy on Craigslist before I'd read about all the issues people were having. Have you tried the Ultimate G2X rom?
It has been my daily driver for a couple of weeks now and I have had absolutely no issues with it. It's based on Froyo so all of the hardware works as it should (no wonky battery issues, HDMI works, GPS works, etc). It has a very nice dark theme to it (I never liked the light colored stock Froyo), and is very snappy and responsive.
It's a very nice rom indeed. Very fast. Very stable. And everything works.

+1 for the Ultimate Rom. I've been using it since the day it was released with zero issues. But...Faux's Rom is starting to look VERY interesting...
I've been a pretty vocal complainer about this phone. I've gotten four. But my complaints have mostly been about the lack of real support and communication. It sucks that LG and Tmo put us all in this position.
I'm getting the Sensation tomorrow. I got the upgrade price. But I'm only considering it a bridge phone until the bugs get worked out of the G2X. When I thought I only had the option of one phone, I HAD to leave for the Sensation. In my case I initially chose the G2X knowing about and comparing it to the Sensation. Sensy is indeed a great phone, but side by side, we all know the G2X is just.....well, better!
But my cell phone is my primary communication device, I don't have a wired home phone. I've had reception issues and it has been too buggy to use the basic features. Not having a choice I was forced to move to the Sensy.
But being in this position, with both phones, changes the equasion. I get the luxury of waiting for the update. I've now decided to request a fifth one after all.....just because the screen bleed IS definatively worse on this fourth one. But if they refuse, I still feel like the screen bleed is a non issue in everyday use. But it appsolutely screams at me when I turn the phone on....
I truly believe that all the other issues will be fixed with the updates(s).
I've spent the last two days putting the phone back where is was before my reset last weekend. I've had no reboots all week, but my data has been giving me fits. I've missed not playing with it this week, so couldn't resist putting it all back. Supposed to get Sensy tommorrow.....have such mixed feelings. This sucks....got two beautiful phones and so conflicted and angst-ridden. I guess I can think of worse positions to be in LOL.
Happy Fathers day to my fellow fathers. And all you mothers for putting up with us!

Happy Fathers day to my fellow fathers. And all you mothers for putting up with us!

There is no doubt in my mind that the G2X is snappier and more responsive than the Sensation within the UI but in my mind there is plenty of other things that go into making a phone better. Yes, I care about speed and power but when the ONLY difference in speed I see is in the UI, it's not a big deal in my opinion. The G2X's display does have better blacks but the Sensation has better colors, sharper text, bigger display and a brighter screen. When both phones are in direct sunlight, it's not even a close race. The Sensation wins hands down.
Applications run just as fast, if not faster on the Sensation. One of the only games I play religiously is HomeRun Battle 3D and it is in fact smoother plus looks a lot better on the Sensation.
When you finally get to use the Sensation you will realize that the only thing the G2X does better is a speedy UI. Everything from the camera to the contacts app is inferior.
In the end, I wish I liked the G2X better since I paid retail price for it and even though mine barely had any bugs, the Sensation is still the all around better phone.

I can't speak to the differences in the screen because I've only used the G2X in everyday situations. I do know that I have no trouble reading my screen in sunlight.
As for the different UI and different camera, etc that you mentioned, I think you're overlooking the fantastic hardware that makes up the G2X. I'm not knocking the Sensation because it may be a better solution for some. But I am very very satisfied with the G2X. Many of the roms that are out now have ironed most of the issues and made this phone extremely reliable. I don't have any issues with mine. And I can flash any camera, homescreen app, etc I want and customize to my hearts content.
My point is its a great piece of hardware that has some buggy software from the factory. Iron out the bugs and this thing flies.

I have had my phone for about a month now, hated it at first but have slowly gotten it to the point of stable and fast.
Running CM7 builds for two weeks now (since the bugs have slowly gotten worked out). No reboots or issues, data is fast, battery life is good and everything is just "snappy".
I have given up on LG support for this phone, I won't be buying another LG phone again. Rushing this product to market and abandoning it shows that they hold the consumer in contempt. Hardware and build quality this phone is amazing, software support is terrible.
If LG was smart they would release their source for the phone and allow the true experts (rom cookers) to have their way with perfecting it, LG's software team isn't worth the paper their over sized paychecks are printed on.

Flashing all the camera apps in the world won't change the actually camera. When I said camera, I meant it as in hardware, not software. If you want to talk software than I can tell you, I think the G2X camera app is better than the Sensations. By the way. My G2X really didn't have any bugs at all except for some minor screen bleed. I thought it was a pretty reliable phone if you ask me. I know I'm keeping mine for a little bit so I have something to hack until HTC unlocks the Sensations bootloader. Lastly, I didn't really have any problems reading my G2X in sunlight either but it doesn't mean something else can't look better.

Torn: G2x Vs Sensation (Another one)

I know another one of these threads but im super torn between the two. I've read through the forums and done my research on both even though the sensation is new and the locked boot loader we don't know its true potential yet
I know the issues with the g2x ie. screen bleed, battery drain, overheating and random freezes. The sensation with the bad angle and high contrast washed out screen, the death grip and some minor touchscreen issues.
I guess what it comes down to is i want a fast phone and the scores show that the g2x is faster but reliability is a key issue with the g2x maybe GB will fix it (hope so) but don't know. With sense vs stock vanilla do you think that’s the reason why the HTC sensation has a low quad score compared to g2x? I know people say it’s the screen size but if they both were running stock do you still think the 1.2ghz snap vs 1ghz tegra would still be in favor of the g2x?
I was leaning towards the g2x just the fact that it has a unlocked boot loader which is definitely a big plus for me because i definitely want to mod the phone. Now that HTC has said they will unlock the boot loader which phone would have the most developers behind it?
Sigh, so torn between the two the lag between apps is a pet peeve of mine and i believe there are currently more developers backing up the tegra nvidia chip so it kind of leans me towards the g2x but the sensation does have a neat screen and really is untapped potential I think.
Let me know what you guys think.. what phone I should go for!!?!
THANKS
P.S. if GB fixed the random reboots and battery issue would u still give it up for the sensation? Seems most people are giving up the g2x for the reliability of the sensation
I'm in the same boat as you. I think the safe thing to do, and what I'm thinking about doing, is waiting for an update for the g2x. If nothing comes out soon, I'll end up getting a nexus or even a mytouch 4g.
Oh, if only people weren't complaining about the g2x, it would be a no-brainer.
I believe that the tegra 2 chipset has new architecture compared to the snapdragon. Also, it seems that game developers are really supporting tegra 2 fully because tegra has their own games store. If gaming on your phone is something that appeals to you, definitely go for the G2x, you will not be disappointed. I recently played Riptide GP, a tegra optimized game and I was blown away to say the least.
I don't really know much about the sensation, but if you do end up buying the G2x, I would suggest buying a used one in excellent condition from ebay, rather than a new one because you never know if it will have problems. I personally bought from gazelle store (30 day return period) and like the description said, it was in excellent condition, not a single scratch and no issues such as battery drain or rebooting.
If you like taking pictures a lot though, I heard that the sensation's "instant capture" is pretty awesome to take quick photos, not that the G2x's camera is slow, just not instant
Just personal taste...
I had the G2X.
As soon as I laid my eyes on the 4.3 qhd display, I was sold.
The amazing thing is that it truly does not feel or look like a 4.3 display. The 16:9 aspect ratio + the thin bevels around the screen make it "seem" smaller.
Truly a fantastic...crisp display. I knew it's what I wanted for the next 2 years of my contract +/-. I don't have the money to buy a new device every 6 months
Also keep in mind the Sensation records audio in STEREO. The G2X and GS2 only record audio in MONO. Something to consider that most people might not think about.
Either way in real world use...it's had to wrong with either one. Just make sure ya get a G2X with no screen bleed and a Sensation with no dust under the sceen...
My G2X had a good battery and didn't reboot a single time in the 2 months I used it. I gave it up for the Sensation because in my OPINION, the Sensation is the all around better phone. If you want a speedy UI, go with the G2X. Some things are faster on the Sensation while others are faster on the G2X. The only game I play (HomeRun Battle 3D) is smoother and looks better on the Sensation.
You have to make up your own mind. My advice would be to use both devices for a couple hours a piece and then make your decision.

QFT about the gaming aspect. I think the Tegra store has some cool games, especially Riptide GP like you mentioned. To the OP. If gaming is important to you then go with the G2X like this guy said.
That being said. The only game I play which is Home Run Battle 3D runs smoother and looks better on the Sensation. I guess it has to do with the game getting along better with the Snapdragon processor over the Tegra processor but I'm not to sure.

This. As of now you may as well get a Nexus S as that is the only phone guaranteed to get Ice Cream Sandwich.

I had mentioned in an earlier thread that my son purchased a Sensation on Thursday afternoon. He came to visit today for Fathers Day, so we had the opportunity to have them side by side.
Both phones are pretty. The Sensation is wider and heavier. The Sense overlay is nice to look at and the unlock ring is cute. The Sense worked fairly well after I got used to it. I've always liked my stuff plain, and my son likes to customize to the max.
Performance wise, holding them side by side, the G2x was faster in some things...The Sensation in others. Browsing the web....it was a toss up.
The sound, the Sensation sounded better. Not only did I prefer the HTC ringtones, they just sounded better.
Intangibles....things like practical settings...were almost the same for both devices. G2x had some settings the Sensation did not. Nothing critical though.
Signal strength....side by side, the G2x carried a better 'visual' signal. where is hit 4g, he only had 2g. Switched on WiFi, the Sensation aquired the signal faster, but the G2x appeared to have more bars of strength. Speedtest was relatively the same.
Battery....this is the big one. He walked into the house at 100%. In less than 30 minutes he was looking at 81%. He did NOT have GPS on. But did have LIve Wallpaper. The rest was default actions. During this same period..same amount of browsing, same amount texts, my G2x lost about 5%.
Both phones are nice. Both feel good, both look good. The Sensation is a bit wider and a bit more bulky....but his hands are bigger than mine. In my mind the edge is slightly to the G2x. In his mind its the Sensation. I think the devices are that close. If he wanted to trade with me, neither of us would be disappointed.
I think this battle comes down to how those intangibles work for you. How it balances in your hand, how you view movies or games, or websites. Its that close....so the choice is personal.. Like someone said earlier....get the phone in your hands...they out. Your choice will become evident.
I agree with everything the above poster said. It really comes down to personal preference between the two.
@alodar1...Your son might have a defective battery because even if I am playing HomeRun Battle 3D for 30 minutes straight online against someone in match up mode, my battery doesn't even drain 10%. I thought my battery on my G2X was pretty good but without a doubt, my Sensation lasts a couple hours longer. I would get a easy 12 hours from my G2X on moderate use but I get over 15 hours on my Sensation with moderate use. There's actually quite a few people who own both devices and say they get longer life from the Sensation and here's why. The Sensations CPU can throttle back to one core but the G2X's CPU cannot so it is constantly running 2 cores. That's just wasted power and poor design. Maybe an update can fix it.
Ok... I just sold my G2x for the sensation, and I'm not looking back.
The g2x was nice, then 1 week ago I started getting 3 day reboots , I'm sick of waiting for fixes and gb. Yes the sensation has It's issues but is a better device...
I sold my G2x for 340 just to sell it quick. I then used my upgrade to get the sensation. Spent 268 on sensation, then get a 50$ rebate.. so I made it with like 120$ and a sensation...
Just can't wait for fixes, reboots made me want to leave, everyone going to the sensation made up my mind.... Htc updates ...

bro what happened?? didnt u start the never again lg thread? thought u were fighting for the g2x not leaving it, lol idk whatever makes u happy, so do u like?
Don't do sensation... the internal memory is so small it can never reach it's full potential. With everything on an SD card, you have no hard wired storage. Its like your operating drive in a computer being already full, it slows everything down. I think ill ask for a replacement when Gb comes out if my phone doesn't fully fix itself. I'm afraid of HTC, always seems like a hard case with poor tech inside.

I have zero loyalty to any brand...just came from a BlackBerry 3 weeks ago....which I hated for the last 2 years. It worked as a phone and that was good enough.
I had the G2X for 13 days before I exchanged it for a Sensation.
I'm sooooo happy I made the switch.
I could not live with the screen bleed at the top corners of the G2X.
Then I started looking at the specs that matter to me most.....
The biggest one being the (imo) gorgeous qHD display and far better resolution. There really is no comparison.....the Sensations display is beautiful and I knew its the one I wanted to look at everyday for the next 2 years of my contract. Also it doesn't feel any bigger than the G2X....with its 16:9 aspect ratio and super thin bevels around the display...it doesn't feel or look too big....its just perfect.
What seems to be a sticking point for some people is the internal memory. Personally, I could care less about internal storage as I will never have the need to put hundreds and hundreds of apps on it. I would think that It is a very small % of users who would ever have more than a gig of apps on their device. Right now I have about 30 apps and still have exactly 1 gig of internal mem.
The other really big thing for me wanting to switch was when I discovered that the G2X only records in MONO. The Sensation records audio in STEREO. If having an HD camcorder is at all a selling point for you...you really should consider that.
Also, I guess I'm one of the people that like eye candy and Sense 3.0 is gorgeous and ultra quick enough for me.
That's my humble opinion

I know man. lol I was gonna fight for it, but then I though about the vibrant, and how I just dont want to any more, and not to mention I started to get reboots after a month of perfection and didnt do anything different, any rom.
With the sensation there is no need to fight. It just works.
So, yes the sensation is better, My first one was weird, and I had to return in, had this weird piece of something, like dust, dead pixel line or something. lol I think the rep didnt like me and game me the defective one purposefully, so I went today and exchanged it..
speed, just as fast as g2x, just turn off animations and dump the widgets. The shortcuts in the drop down are nice, the extra stuff on sense is really nice also.
screen, face on the sensation is awesome, slight angle, it gets washed out. I give screen to g2x.
battery: I had good battery on my g2x but the sensation does a lil better.
build: about a tie, but the design of how the back cover is, is awesome IMO. Like taking half the phone apart. lol looks sweet. So Im giving hardware to HTC.
GPS: sensation is fast as ****, g2x would need like 1 min to lock, sensation like 4 seconds. My tracks were dead on. Almost like gps got worse on the g2x.
call quality is a tie: they both sound great.
I dont know what else, that dont sound much, but its just a all around nicer device, I dont want to wait it out for LG to come up with something, when the sensation has it already.
Have a good g2x no issues besides not being able to use cyanogen mod because data doesn't work .
Using gb update zip, very smooth and no issues as of yet. Phone is nice but battery is a killer for me, barley lasting 6 hours , of moderate to heavy use. Tempted to sell and wait for the nexus to come out or an iphone if on tmobile. Have offer of $200 plus a mytouch 4g for the g2x.

[Q] Sense 3.0 lag,unresponsive touchsreen,lousy battery life... Evo3D better choice?

Hi mates, I've been reading up on comments, reviews and opinions on the Evo 3d and Sensation for the past few weeks and am already getting headaches from it. Now I'm at the brink of buying one of these (preferably this week as my iphone makes me sick more and more).
Your opinion is very important to me as I'm about to extend my contract for 2 years!
I don't need the 3d, but I'm having the feeling that the Evo3d is the overall better device. However, the bulky design and the inferior camera make it hard not to go for the Sensation (especially since I don't give a damn about 3d).
What I need to know from you guys are the follwoing things:
1. The Sensation's been known to have a slight lag in Sense and overall slower performance compared to the evo 3d. It was said many times this could be due to software issues. Has the performance since been improved in a way that it's on par with the Evo? Are the European units any better/different than the American ones?
2. I live in Europe. Are chances high I will get a faulty unit with a bad touchscreen? It seems to be a hardware issue so I guess there will be no software fix and sending the unit in 5 times with weeks of waiting in between is a dealbreaker for me.
3. I have read many reviews saying the Sensations battery life is superior to that of the Evo 3d and I have read just as many reviews that claim the opposite.
I do the occasional surfing while in train/bus, maybe 1-2h of music listening, checking emails several times a day and use google maps+GPS from time to time. No 3d use, movie watching or hours of gaming intended. Which one will serve me better?
The Sensation is slicker and doesn't have the ugly and unhandy camera-bumps like the Evo, but I'm very allergic to lag so if the Sensation is just underpowered compared to the Evo, i'll go with the snappier of the two.
Thank you!
As far as I know, the EVO 3D is pretty much identical hardware to the Sensation. And it also runs Sense 3.0. Check here for a comparision: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3901&idPhone2=3875
With a custom Sense ROM, it is much more smooth.
Really don't see why the EVO 3D performance would be THAT much better then the Sensation...
The touchscreen isn't a problem. The only issues seem to be on the lockscreen, so it's software.
I don't see the reason either (apart from 1gb ram over 768mb) but apparently the Evo runs soomther plus i hear the sensation starts to show lag over time...
anyways, evry review says evo is snappier... i just wonder whether thi sis soething that can be fixed by updates or if it is due to bad hardware
My experience is limited to the Sensation only, but:
1. Yes. Annoyingly so. Stock performance on the Telstra model isn't very good. I've used three units and all have been identical. Once you S-OFF, install a custom ROM and a custom kernel, the problem is lessened somewhat. Sense 3.0 seems to underpin all the problems with this device.
2. Completely random. Out of the dozen or so people I know who own Telstra units, I am the only one with a 'good' Sharp panel. There's not a lot of difference in the picture quality of both screens, but there is a definite difference in the ghosting while scrolling. Mine's better, but it's still there. Looks to me like a refresh rate issue, but I'm not sure. Apparently the digitiser can 'de-sensitise' over time, I've had mine a fortnight and no issues as of yet.
3. I find the Sensation's battery life admirable. After a moderate day's use I get home with 80-60% remaining. I don't OC, I use WiFi all day at home and HSPA when I'm out, make a few calls, send maybe 80 texts, download a few apps and listen to music for an hour or so. Even after a solid hour of continuous Market browsing, I'd reportedly lost <10%.
Good luck in your choice!
Those side-effects are all results of Sense. Just install CyanogenMod or any other AOSP ROM (when they're released) for a much, much better experience.

Absolutely.
I've never been a fan of CyanogenMod, but I will say that I am very much looking forward to it becoming available for the Sensation. The Alpha AOSP ROM looks promising also!
Thank you very much juzz86 and the others. Your post was very helpful. The thing is, I WANT Sense 3.0. If it was for the hardware alone, I'd go with the SGSII, although it's butt-ugly and feels like a child's toy in your hand. The Sensation's hardware is not so sensational when you compare it to other flagship phones. It's Sense that is making me want a HTC phone, but if the darn device can't handle it, despite dual core fanfare, I don't want it.
I'm so disappointed in this device It should have been everything the SGSII is, but with better design and Sense on top.
Anyways, the Evo seems to deal just fine with Sense 3.0 (at least that's what I read). I think I will give it a shot then, but not before I actually had the device in my hands. I'm a Pperson that is rather careless with it's phone. My iphone survived just fine because of a rubber case that saved it many times. But The Evo has ONE big glass plate in front of the two cam lenses... one unfortunate drop and goodbye picture taking.
I will have to think about that and see how the device actually feels...

Sounds like a plan. Don't drop the coin on it unless you're happy (only stupid people do that... ).
A recommendation: If you love Sense, and daily performance is more important to you than what looks good on paper, the Incredible S is an extremely good choice. It's 'just' a single-core, and it runs an older Sense, but it absolutely runs rings around the Sensation. The only real difference between the Sense version is the lockscreen, which is the only 'plus' I've come across in Sense 3.0
Thx for the advice, but I think it's rather stupid to buy a single core mobile in the age of dualcore processors and quadcore soon to be unleashed onto the world. I don't care if my Lambo is slower compared to a F1 Ferrari, but that don't mean I 'd go with a Fiat too
One more question regarding the lag/slowness of the phone: Is it sluggish out of the box or does it's performance degrade over time? How bad is it?
I often hear people complain about ceratin bugs, but only few seem to feel bothered by the performance...

I don't know whether I should be happy or afraid because of that :O
Will CM7 still have Sense 3.0 or is it something completly different? I'm new to andorid, sry have no clue about it... Just saw that InsertCoin still has it.
I just read that the European Version of the Evo 3d isn't h4ackable as of now Different bootloader version or sumthin...
Yeah great, now I'm reconsidering the Sensation with a custom ROM. Geez this is getting old now...

CM7 will not have Sense at all. Most of the current crop of ROMs available still have Sense - even those that offer a 'sense-less' option still have the underlying frameworks included.
For me it was untolerable out of the box. I'm very susceptible to lag though.
I stick by my recommendation of a good single-core over a dual-core at this point. If it's fluid and quick in everyday operation, do you really need anything else? It's all just hype at this point, and the real-life benefits of dual cores aren't here yet.
I've ditched my Sensation for a Sharp SH-12C and it stomps all over it with just a single core and it does (pretty cool) 3D to boot. Pretty hard to come by, but so far a very polished package, and I'm getting much more enjoyment from it than from the Sensation.
I'm a big fan of stock android. I love cm can't wait for it to become available. That would definitely speed up things. Not sure I care about sense.
On another note I completely abuse my phone as far a use goes. WiFi on all day now Bluetooth too. I get 5.5hrs on a full charge. But again I completely abuse my phone. I listen to music all damn day I have a car charger so I'm happy and love my phone.

I was sick of waiting and got the sensation yesterday. Haven't had too much time to spend with it but so far things are looking good, and it's fast, I see no lag. Only thing that's bothering me is te free memory, which is somewhere around 100mb usually. that's kinda lame. Why on earth did HTC not include simply 1gig?
No I wonder which rom to install. I figure crystal pyramid isn't too bad?

Task Manager is showing the wrong amount of RAM, go to Settings-Applications-Running Services and check there. I agree it should have been 1 GB though
For a ROM I recommend InsertCoin 2.3.4 because it's very fast However, maybe you will like another one better, so try them out and use the one you like best.

Glad to hear you got a good one mate, nice job. I was also a bit skeptical of the reported RAM under the task switcher, seemed very low. As stated above, it appears to be a bit off. Uninstalling Sense actually freed up about 80MB for me, so hopefully something like AOSP will free up even more and make it really sing.
Crystal Pyramid is very nice. You won't be disappointed with any of the custom Sense ROMs at all, they're all nice and slick.
Enjoy!
I also have problems with the fact that the phone is so slow, and i was expecting much much more from it,i couldn't wait to finally get my hand on a Sensation .I have the stock rom with no modifications, but my Desire HD was also stock and it worked perfect, with no lag.I was playing Angry Birds Rio yesterday and the phone had lots of lags(like a video with low frame rate),and there wasn't any running program in the background .The Desire HD never had this problem, even if there were programs running in the background, the phone worked flawlessly.I am starting to regret that i sold the desire hd and bought the Sensation.

Do you think ICS will make things any better for us/the Sensation?

I really was a HTC fanboy, both software and hardware wise, after seeing their first HTC Desire and later the Desire HD. That made me ditch the iphone and switch to android.
Recently, I am starting to regret having bought the Sensation. Build quality my arse. This phone is full of bugs and disappointments, my biggest issues being:
- Power Button issue (no its NOT software related, at least not with my unit and the "fix" don't work)
- Battery reading and jumping issues. My phone stays way too long on 100% and then takes a dive instead of showing the energy levels correctly. And no matter what it shows, when I restart it the percentage magically jumps up around 15%, only to drop swiftly little later. Yes I did calibrate the battery in Android and yes I did several charge-discharge circles with all my 3 batteries.
- Sluggish Performance. Yes there are "ultra-hyper-mega-omega-smooth" ROMs but it only helps so much, many menus still have an apparent lag when scrolling, most famously the appdrawer (when u install more than just a few apps) and whatsapp when scrolling through chat history.
Also, in Electopia benchmark, the highest I get is 30 FPS, with an AOSP ROM. SGSII users get 49 fps no problem and they don't need to OC their device to 8.7GHz like we do to achieve it. I know benchmarks say nothing but this is a game with nice graphics and I can actually SEE the performance difference with my own eyes.
-Touchscreen problem. It's gone now, yes. But come on! Who tells me this will not resurface after 2 years in a much more severe way?
- Loudness. The phonespeaker blows, when I show someone a song or vid on the phone you can barely hear it. Same problem for in-call volume. No, Volume+ does not really help and it makes sound everything like shiat. I thought the iphone had a bad speaker but now I actually think it was quite good after seeing the lower end of the quality spectrum
-Broken 3D engine and no official fix for it. I need to rely on devs to do their work? Screw you htc
-Camera. Nothing in particular except that it is not as good as I expected and it lacks some features even my old Sony Ericsson k800i had like burst mode etc. Yes you can have it if you install the camera apk from a different htc phone but there usually are compatibility problems. Plus, why can't my phone have a decent camera app of its own? Too much to ask, HTC? Guess their priorities are elsewhere.
- The phone was half-baked to begin with and got patched up to adress the most severe problems rather than being good at launch and "sensational" after updates.
I'm interested in your opinion wheter a future ICS RUU will make things any better. I would sell my Sensation now and probably go for a Samsung. The thing is, I have bought a cover and two extra batteries for it and I'm not looking forward to buying those accessories again, especially because Amazon doesn't ship to my country. And I hear folks say all the time how ICS will make our device shine because of native dualcore support etc. In that case, it might well be worth to wait a little...
The thing is, I just don't believe in it anymore. HTC seems more busy pushing out new models than refining current ones. Hell, since the launch of the first Sensation alone they have thrown 2 additional versions of it in the market, let alone the number of completely new phones released or soon to be released.
I think fragmentation is becoming a major problem with HTC. Look at the leaked 3.3.5 RUU that all the devs build upon, it's been around for forever. But the real thing never saw the light of day and now with ICS out, I think it never will. When HTC has a flagship phone, you can bet they will have a new one in 6 weeks time. The Sensation got replaced by the Sensation XE (Different ROM&Kernel, not just fancy new colours) and the Sensation XE got replaced by the HTC Rezound all in less than 6 months.
HTC announced they will release ICS for Sensation around March. By that time, the Sensation will be a second class phone with quadcores already in the pipeline. The way I know HTC, their first ICS build will be full of crap and bugs. But because they will be busy pushing out new phones, we will have to live with their halfdone work. And by that time, I will prolly get much less for it if sold than I would right now.
What do you think? Sell now or wait and hope/pray for improvement?
Look. If you really dislike the phone that much, sell it now. ICS will change many things; improve some, make some worse. That's just how it goes. Then they'll patch the issues with the next patch etc. But judging from your post, I'd recommend you sell it and get another phone. Just don't touch anything Samsung.
You better sell it if you hate it that much. Why most people buy HTC? Because they can flash anything they whant and make the device better than stock. (same with Samsungs Plastic Devices) I never had any of the prolems you are talking about on my XE with the same Hardware. The Sensation XE is my 4th HTC phone and all of them were great never got any problems (Hardware or Software). And when i read something about benchmark i whant to throw up. What does it help if you have high scores and you device is laggy? If the performance is good i don't care about scores. And like FnH84 said ICS will make much things better but some things worse but we are here at XDA and our devs will make it all perfekt. It only needs some time. Android is a "Hacker phone" (let's call it like this) Out of the Box it's not the best OS but you can modify it in every way you whant and that makes it unique. If you need a phone that works perfekt out of the box you should buy icrap or WP7 on this phones you can do nothing wrong and they are easy to use.

Why don't we just gather all the ones that got a "faulty" device and retards that have something against specific brands, me included I truly hate Apple , HTC samgay and all the rest brands and see which phone (brand) gets the most posts ala we hate, it sucks yada yada doo.
1. Sensation build quality is robust and good, I have had 3 units.
2. Sense is not for every one but some intend to like it.
3. HTC is one of the older players (the oldest) on the android market. They know how to create something that wasn't there f.ex dual core support gingerbread.
4. Great screen with great resolution.
5. Screw you I'm going home!

You are exaggerating things... Practically HTC mobiles are the best out there...
There is still little bit of lag but didn't effect me personally when using as phone...
HTC developers are much better than those Samsung ones... Atleast we have HTC Sense which other brand developers drag their ass to port to their handsets...
I still love it and it's the best for me..
you don't like it then sell it... Bye bye...
Sensation happens to be my best HTC and android phone. I have fewer problems than with MT3G, Nexus1, MT4G. Very pleased overall, just my 2c worth
Sensation happens to be a great phone for me ... much better than the galaxy s II
Feeling lucky ... didnt have any of those issues ...
I somewhat agree with OP, not everything, but certain points.
It did feel half-baked to start with. 2.08 base feels a lot more sleek though, shame they have not finished it, would be nice to have as an option, fully stable option I mean if they (HTC) **** up ICS.
Assuming HTC actually optimise Sense for ICS I can only see the Sensation getting better. Yes it runs now but I've had to make my own ROM for it. Does it bother me? Not in the slightest!! I enjoy it!!
The build quality of HTC handsets is second to none. I've had the HD2, Desire and now the Sensation and they just feel right. A nice bit of weight is reassuring, it means I know it's in my pocket.
OK, the camera isn't as good as other manufacturers but if I was that interested in taking a picture I'd use a camera (shock horror !!!)
End of the day if you're not happy, flog it and get something 'better'. Otherwise, enjoy what you have and look forward to more awesome ROMs from us Devs
What many people like to forget is, that higher display resolution is always a trade off between look and performance.
Of course the Samsung S2, with slightly better Hardware, performs better... It has only 800*480 Pixels to render.
I'm happy with my sensation. Of course it could be better, but there is no device out there that satisfies all my needs. And the sensation is the one that gets closest to that task.

I've never had a problem with power button, battery, touchscreen or 3D engine.
Speaker, I agree with you, could be better and louder.
Camera, what you expected? It is only phone camera. For me picture quality is very good. And I don't need burst mode, it is unimportant feature.
Performance is very good. UI acceleration is disabled by default to save battery life, you can simply enable it.
SGS II has better performance in 3D, but Sensation has 35% more pixels.
Agreed with the OP, but then again like others have said, Better build quality than any other manufacturer, Sense (at least for me), and the ability to flash whatever the **** you want makes me buy HTC phones. Even though I wouldn't mind a S2 right now, but the screen resolution kills me on that, everything is just huge!
im in the same boat like you i loved htc sense and i still love htc sense
but the thing that really put me off from andriod is because the software and hardware limitation
firstly i want to write about my experience with htc hd2 my first htc phone and i loved it because of big screen but the downside was that any rom i installed on it used to drain my battery madly
if i used my phone for a while the battery used to drop like there is no tommorow
and max battery life used to be 2-3 hours but if when i used to leave it on stand by it used to lst 8-9 hours and that was not used and battery used to die so i got so mad with it that i sold it and bought htc senstaion
the thing with sensation was i had more memory higher resoulation and it was capable of recording 1080p at the same time it had a front camera but the bad thing in sesnation is battery life and check my post where my battery lasted 2 hours and i think this is piss taking.
i have a iphone 4 which i borrowed form my cousin for test this week and this phone blew me away because i left wifi on for 1 day and 5 hour while it was on stand by and guess what it only lost 2 percent in the long time where as my senstaion would have died in 7-8 hours
the good thing about iphone was its software and harware work flawless toghether even though i admit when i'm gonna give this back to my cousin i'm gonna say to him its **** because i cant admit its better in hadrware
but software wise its the best phone out there.
bad thing about iphone 4 its heavy like htc senstion and it has very smal screen and i personally hate it this is the only reason i choose htc rather than iphone
---------- Post added at 08:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:27 PM ----------
i also did a camera test and iphone was much smmoother and i;m talking about front camera because if i move my camera it laggs bad and does blur where as iphone despite having the same spec camera is much clearer while at the same time it is much better but about the back camera i personally think htc is better and that is my personal choise(i forgot how to write it). in senstaion the front camera is so dark in low light while at the same time iphone is very clear.
personally i think htc and other company should stop brinig phone for a while and rather they should try to perfect the software on our phone because this is really making andriod looking bad

In this regard, HTC is no worse (and is better than) other Android handset manufacturers. I was an early adopter with the Samsuck Behold 2, which saw only very limited updates. Every company is pushing new models, either because most consumers are spoiled and always want the latest and greatest, or as a side effect they don't need to support phones beyond 1-2 years because carriers subsidize phones when contracts are renewed.
In general, software rarely gets faster when new versions are released, and I doubt that ICS will perform faster than what we have now unless HTC seriously thins out their Sense UI overlay. I also expect that HTC has a common code base between what we'll get on the Sensation and what future phone releases will use, so I doubt what we get will be any worse than new ICS HTC handsets.
8.7ghz dam bro ur phone must be an oven lol
To those who say they have no battery issues:
Does your battery not stick at 100% longer than it should? It stays at 100% even after 30min of intense use and then sharply drops instead of declining i a linear way. Do you not have different battery level values after restarting the phone? Afaik it is a common problem with the Sensation caused by bad drivers. There is even a thread dedicated to this.
And it can not all be blamed on the higher pixel count. Electopia is a 3d game that measures your fps. There is an option to run it at WVGA resolution (800x480), meaning it is rendered in exactly the same resolution as the SGII. The game runs at aprox. 20 fps slower than on the sgII. Now this is not some synthetic benchmark, this is real world performance where the game simply runs smother on the sammy.
I just checked my roommate's SGII performance within whatsapp. He can scroll through the entire chat history in real time, back and forward with no delay. Mine has VISIBLE lag and doesn't respond as well, it stutters alot when scrolling up the list. Don't tell me its because it has to render more pixels, its a messaging program ffs! This happens with EVERY Rom (With or without Sense).
I am surprised no one shares my view on those issues because it's basically a compilation of often here mentioned issues plaguing the Sensation. And I know HTC made some damn fine phones, but the Sensation just doesn't live up to their past standards.
No I don't feel the need to always have the fastest and best thing around. I was evaluating pros and cons between the Sensation and SG2 for 6 whole weeks before ultimately going for the Sensation. I knew the Samsung had better benchmark results and more power but I was like "I don't need a ****ing racing car, a nice sports car will do it just as well". But I simply cannot put up with sluggish menus/scrolling behaviour. Not in 2011 and in the age of dual core processors. See, if only the Sensation was really snappy with my daily tasks, I couldn't care less for benchmarks.
But folks will always say the same things like "it has more pixels to push" or "mine runs super smooth" when in fact it runs the same way as mine and they just don't mind a bit of choppiness.
I HATE the plastic toy phone feel of the Samsung devices, but damn those phones fly. Probably I'm alone with this, but choppy and sluggish menus and scrolling behaviour gives me eye cancer. And it's something I can't live withon such a premium device.
Please keep the "if you don't like it then sell it" comments to your self, they add nothing to the discussion and you are not telling me anything new.
Well I am considering the Galaxy Nexus now, despite not having the most fancy gpu unit available.
Probably I'm alone with this, but choppy and sluggish menus and scrolling behaviour gives me eye cancer.

Then you need to go to a hospital, stat. Here's the deal, 99% of people who dislike this phone either return it or sell it, and get something they like. They don't go to a dev forum specifically designed for the phone in question and ***** about it.
Point is, if you don't like it, get something else.
Get the motorola atrix, or even the lg g2x and then tell me this phone is buggy.. hahah, the moto atrix even with CM 7 was more laggy than this phone stock. with more ram etc. camera flys past both phones. sure its not better than the amaze but look at the price differance.
I think ICS will make the Sensation a little bit smoother.
That said, I overall don't really like my Sensation. It was an under-spec'd, half-baked phone from release. I really wish my phone upgrade would have been now, because I would have been all over a real performer like the Galaxy Nexus. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with my Sensation for another year and a half or so, and I doubt I'll be able to make it that long.
Having a phone that performs like a toy is worse than having one that feels like a toy. I didn't buy a damn phone just to touch it. I bought it to use it, and there are tons of phones out there that perform better.
