I have the LG-E900h on AT&T.
Got the 7720 build 2 days ago but when I go to Wi-Fi, Advanced, there is NO + button at the bottom, just Select and Delete.
Anyone else have this issue, or know a way to fix it??
Im using a HTC 7 and ive got the + all ok
I have it on at&t
---------- Post added at 01:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:09 PM ----------
just waiting for at&t to enable visual voice mail for my Samsung focus
HTC HD2 with zune updates and no hidden wifi options here too
FYI please turn on yr WiFi first... If WiFi is not turned on the plus button will not be seen..
Wi-Fi is on, I can see other networks that are broadcasting the SSID, but still no + sign under Advanced.
No "+" under Advanced on WiFi settings on my LG Quantum from AT&T either (using RTM Mango).
Maybe there's a registry setting somewhere to show the "+" icon.
Hi
I have a LG with mango a no hidden wifi.. On my other phone HD7 Hidden wifi is present
so LG did not enable Hidden wifi
Any way to enable the hidden wifi function?
According to AT&T
http://att.deviceanywhere.com/LGQuantum/tutorials/14501
The "+" sign should be there on the LG Quantum!?!?
I just checked, and I'm happy I have it, but what would I need it for?

?? to connect to wi-fi networks with hidden SSID!?! There are a many locations that I would like to use the wifi and have no control over whether or not the SSID is hidden. Lucky you, you can.

Try changing APN from Sony GRPS to one of the other alternatives.
It's set to Vodafone my local provider
Worked for me.
Try to re download APN as below, worked for me.
Settings
Wireless & Network
Mobile networks
Access point names
Three dots top right, then Reset to default
Back button twice to Wireless & networks screen
Internet settngs
Select your network provider from list.

Sometimes if you select a different connection point from the list in "Network operators" that works to, i.e.. I have loades of EE connections points, I sometimes select a none 4G one for a better signal.

No luck... Could it be the sim card itself?
My friend received an Xperia Z3 from Telstra as part of his plan and I got an iPhone 6 as part of my iiNet one. I hated the iPhone 6 and he hated the Xperia, so we swapped after looking up online that they are both unlocked out of the box. Everything seems fine except that my mobile data doesn't work, in the upper left corner it shows iiNet (the right carrier) but I cannot seem to get my mobile data to work. Is this a problem with the unit itself or with the fact that we swapped phones?
You'll need to configure your APN settings since Telstra phones only come with their settings.
Visit iiNet's website for their APN settings then head to Settings -> Mobile Network -> APN and add them there. Save then enable.
---------- Post added at 04:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:57 PM ----------
Their website doesn't actually have it as far as I can tell, have sourced it for you here.

Thanks for your fast reply. I have entered the internet and mms an settings as two separate entries into my apn settings and restarted my device but if I turn off WiFi and mobile data on, chrome still tells me I am offline if I try to load a website. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for helping a technology newb like me out, I really appreciate it

Hmm that's weird. Had the same problem on Reddit where a Canadian couldn't get their M7 to work with iiNet mobile data but their calls and texts were fine. Are you absolutely sure that the internet one is selected in Mobile Data settings?

Yeah it is... For the apn type for the inter net one, do I type "default or internet"? Or just one of them?
I got it to work in the end but thanks for all your help
For anyone interested in how I did it, continue to read:
Firstly I went to Settings > More under Wireless and Networks > Internet Settings (note you need WiFi to do this) and then selected Optus because iiNet runs under Optus and then the APN settings were changed automatically and mobile data now works
Sent from my D6653 using XDA Free mobile app
Ahh yes, the Optus APN, slipped my mind.
FYI for anyone else, the Optus APN works with all MVNO's using the Optus network (Virgin Mobile, iiNet, Exetel etc.).
Glad it's all sorted out.
My daughter has an unlocked HTC A9 that just got an Android 7.0 update 2 days ago. Our carrier is T-Mobile USA and when the phone had Android 6.0.1, it had VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling features working extremely well. Now after Android 7.0 upgrade these 2 particular features are gone from the software.
Can someone with an unlocked HTC A9 on T-Mobile USA check if their VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling options are missing as well after Nougat upgrade? Thanks in advance.

I did have the option in settings to switch VoLTE on or off, and it does seem to be missing here. If you want to know if it is on or off, go to phone and dial *#*#4636#*#* and click on phone information. Scroll down until you see either turn off volte provisioned flag or turn on volte provisioned flag. If it says turn off volte provisioned flag that means VoLTE is on. For the Wi-Fi calling, there is an option in settings for it I believe. Go to the call tab under setting and scroll all the way down to calling accounts. In that part of settings there is settings for "internet calling". Not sure if this is what you are looking for but this is what I found
Hope it helps, and good luck

I have an HTC A9 (oem unlocked), on T-Mobile USA.
VoLTE and Wi-Fi was not enabled by default until I manually forgot and reconnected to my Wi-Fi network. Afterwards, I went to settings, Call, and scrolled all the way down. There's a new section called "Enhanced Call Service" and VoLTE and WiFi Calling are now options available.

OK. Thanks. The tip about "forgetting" the network and re-adding might be worth trying. But only later today, once I get home.

So I deleted/"forgot" all of the Wi-Fi networks. Rebooted the phone. And still no Enhanced Services with VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling area under Settings --> Call. next step would be to do a factory reset and see if that helps.

I'm having the same issue. I'm wondering where the Wi-fi Calling feature is. I have the US Unlocked/Dev edition and the "Wi-fi Calling" tab isn't under "Mobile Data" like it was on 6.0.1 .
I have the unlocked a9 on tmobile and everything worked well immediately after updating.
I have yet to make an actual call over wifi on nougat but sms worked fine and volte certainly works.
The only strange thing is the lte indicator seems to be the verizon one
Perhaps you should try taking the sim out, restarting, putting the sim back in and see if that makes the phone recognise it needs to use tmo settings?

I am on 2.18.617.21 and can't find these settings. How to get them back. Unable to make or receive calls on my mobile since mine is an LTE only network. Tried factory reset and changing CID to 11111111, but nothing worked.
Hi Dev’s,
I update my MIA1 to android oreo. When I search for Wi-Fi calling feature in settings, I notice that it is displayed. However when I click on Wi-Fi calling setting, It doesn’t dispaly under the Advanced Wifi settings.
My carrier supports Wi-Fi calling feature and I have it enables on my number. When I place the sim card in a iPhone, Wi-Fi calling works flawlessly. However it is not working in Mi A1 android oreo build.
Please can anyone help me get the setting activated on my mobile. I tried resetting the phone to factory settings, but I still don’t have the setting enabled.

Hi,
I still couldn’t get to see the optionto enable or disable wi-fi calling in settings.
Howeve one of the oreo testers replied in an another thread that wi-fi calling option is available in oreo beta build. He also posted a screenshot that shows option to toggle on/off the setting. Please let me know if you figure out a way.

I can confirm that Wifi calling on Jio is not active yet on any network (JioFi's wifi calling is something else so please don't bring that up) as on date. I have tried this on a Mi A1 also which supports Wifi calling out-of-the-box.

WiFi calling isn't available at any TSP. ( In india)
I once tried to call someone when connected to WiFi. There was a pop up to enable wifi calling. I enabled it from there. Since then it didn't appear again. Also I can't test whether it's working because my carrier doesn't support wifi calling
Trying to test the feature before I go overseas. Wifi calling is enabled, HD voice/advanced calling enabled. When I check the hidden menu in *#*#4636#*#* everything is checked.
I turn on airplane mode and enable wifi. When I try to make a call, the dialer says "turn off airplane mode or connect to a wireless network to make a call". I am connected to Wifi though and signal strength is solid. What is the problem?
You rooted? Don't know if that really matters but, I had use adb to edit the settings database. I never could get it to work till I did that. No root needed. Just Google wifi calling preferred ADB.

I am aware of that guide for ADB. However that is for preferred WiFi calling when both cellular and WiFi are available. It shouldn't help when I'm in airplane mode.

Had same problem with Verizon Wifi calling, fixed it
I had the same problem on my OG 2016 Pixel (rooted) running stock 7.1.2 ROM on VZW, but now fixed - here are the steps:
1. Open Testing Menu (dial *#*#4636#*#* on dialpad).
2. tap the "Phone information" menu.
3. Toggle on the "VoLTE Provisioned" slider (this was toggled off by default on mine). (Also make sure "Wifi Calling Provisioned" is toggled on.)
4. Using the Quicksettings dropdown menu, toggle Airplane Mode.
5. IMPORTANT NOTE - When I tried the 1st time it didn't work because entering Airplane Mode greyed out Wifi icon and disabled all Wifi connections (and data icon showed "no service"), even though Wifi was previously toggled on.
6. To remedy this, drop down your Quicksettings menu again and simply touch the Wifi connections shortcut, wait a couple seconds and all Wifi connections will repopulate, and default Wifi connection should re-connect.
7. Now hit the back button to the Quicksettings dropdown menu, wait another couple seconds and the data icon should change to "Verizon Wireless Wi-Fi Calling" - Wifi calling should now work

I appreciate the suggestion. I had tried toggling all those options previously but I did it again per your instructions. It did not work.
My quicksettings text goes from "Verizon Wireless" to "Airplane mode" when it is enabled. Then when I put WiFi back on it goes BLANK. It does not say "Verizon Wireless WiFi Calling" like yours did. Any ideas?
I don't understand. I have a cellular signal and my wifi calling just stays on. All I did was change 2 values in the Database.

I guess I never caught that fact. Mine doesn't stay on all the time. But, as soon as I walk in my house it pops on. My wife has an S7 and I can't get hers to work unless I turn the cellular off. Evidently Samsung does not have the same settings database.

I've heard that a local Wi-Fi router mis-configuration may be the reason Wi-fi calling fails in some instances.
I would test it out on a different router, or have someone with a known good Wi-fi calling phone setup test on your router to eliminate that possibility.
I've also heard that Wi-fi calling breaks when upgrading to Oreo for some folks. Curious what Android version you're running?

Thanks. I'll go to a location and try.
I ran into the same issue, possibly after Magisk install on custom RR Rom (Marlin/Latest April Oreo build). It had worked one time but I guess installing Magisk was the most recent change I could think of after which it stopped working with the error message reported by OP. Anyways the only thing that worked was to do a "Network Setting Reset" , then setup Wifi (Airplane mode on) again and Wifi Calling settings back to On with Wi-Fi preferred.
Note: Also in "Mobile Network" in Settings, need to ensure "Roaming/Connect to data services when roaming" option is selected for the "Wifi Preferred" option to stick.
