HEllo peeps,here is v1 ALPHA!

How to install
1. Use a phone with firmware I9001XXKP4 Rooted
2. deodex the phone according to this:
Instructions deodexing firmware I9001XXKP4 with ROOT access
1. Unpack archive and run xUltimate v2.2 Main.exe
2. If all goes well, xUltimate recognizes the phone and connect to it, then you will see a menu of options
(Your phone must be in debug mode enabled usb and "Emulation location")
3. Run "Option 1". After it's complete - launch "Option 2".
4. Then, run "Option 3"
5. Important! After starting "Option 3" =>
6. Run "Option 4" and wait until it ends.
7. Close xUltimate
8. Copy the folder "done_frame" and "done_app" (from the place where we unpacked the archive xUltimate) in the ROOT, not on the external flash (... mnt / sdcard ...)
9. We place the folder from the archive to the root of sdcard gscript
10. Install? BusyBox_installer_3.6.3 (run and provide the superuser, wait to be installed !!!), then install nl.rogro.GScriptLite
11. Restart the phone (peregruzka / fully charged?)
12. Put the phone in "debug mode on USB" and enabled "Emulation location"
13.Zahodim/Go? in GScript Lite -> Menu -> Add script -> Load file -> Save
14.Dalee click on the script execution Deodex
15.Dalee look like the phone is buggy and throwing out messages on closing different programs until you restart
16.Zagruzilsya? We use the phone with the firmware deodex.
If you're working on the program Main.exe paragraphs 4.3 pops up an error, you must update JAVA on your computer and it will work!
3.ustanovit (appoint, designate, assign) with instructions on odin cwm 4pda
Instructions:
1. One put a 3-AND FILE - Aries + CWR (from the archives!) And BOOT (from the firmware!)
2. stitches as usual ....
3. Phone does not go away after rebooting once in CWR and just loaded ....
4. After downloading, go out in rekaveri menu ... any way (I stopped using the Advanced menu from the header!)
get into the CWR, yes there is double vision, but to understand you can create a full backup is possible! I've done and happy with ... SHOULD finished the script itself to remove the split!
YES ---- control + and - keys, make the choice key.
4.ustanovit (appoint, designate, assign) with Market rom manager, through it to enter into recovery mode
select from the menu to update the cwm sd, select the zip with the firmware.
5.rejoice new firmware and wait for new ones.
if u screw up,just flash stock rom,and u r good to go!

Quadrant hack can be used for any android 2.1+ and rooted phone....
first install stock firmware....then root it......then copy the system folder from your phone(by root explorer) and then upload it....(do not install any apps!)
i dont know about ghost commander!

can't you just grab .smd file and extract system from it? i mean if i try to romdump, it'll backup all kind of my personal stuff as well...
tell me an alternative way and i can do it by tomorrow

One more question. I'm with XXKP4 with installed only games and simple apps + root. Can't I do a factory reset and give you my android files without re-flashing?

yes.....u could do that....

Hi, I can't copy the files, becouse it writes "Paste in progress" about 1 hour and nothing... Have files copied but..?

i presume u have enough space in ur sd card!
try to leave that coping overninght!!!
also, try to pull via adb,it will be faster

Good to hear there is development on the custom rom-area! Your work is highly appreciated!

this guide by Rotahammer can also be used for i9001 to get rom dumps.............upload only stock dump or i will get ur personal data!

Is it possible to port cm7 to our device?
If we base on HTC Desire S cm7 mod which it have the same GPU and CPU, could we compile it to make it compatible to sgs+?

I'm not sure if you can call Desire S and Galaxy S+ the same since Desire S has MSM8255 and Galaxy S+ has MSM8255T, maybe those two processors use the same drivers? not sure about that...
Who's doing romdump? i can't at the moment since i have billion of personal stuff which i can't erase from my phone...anyone willing to romdump here?
EDIT: actually let me give it a try, i think i have adb, someone else should also try to do it too...
EDIT2: not working for me, i'm trying to get ADB...in the meantime someone keep trying to get the romdump !

I've find out that Desire S's processor driver is ARMv7 Processor rev 1 rather that our's rev 2.
Edit: My spare phone x8's driver is ARMv6 rev 5, but we have devs that compiled htc hero cm7 mod to our phone and worked flawlessly. But HTC Hero's driver is ARMv6 rev 2, so I think revision different doesn't matter.
Edit2: How about making lagfix?

well our first priority should be to make a stable rom first by the help of our indian mate and then we can use the kitchen to port a CM7 to our device. I need a stable custom rom first and i can try to port CM7 to ours.. (btw htc flyer uses our CPU)

[ROM] 2.29.405.5 WWE - Rooted/Bash/BusyBox/UV [v5 21/12/10]

Added a script as an attachment to this post that walks user through the removal of applications from /system without the user knowing how to use ADB.
I'm very happy with my purchase of the HTC Desire back in April this year, but have always thought battery life could be better and believe it should be the main aspect to improve with custom software.
I've read and experienced good things in regards to battery life with 2.29.405, so decided to make myself a ROM that's based entirely on it, with only removing applications I don't use, adding undervolt for even more battery saving and adding AP2SD which is essential due to the low internal memory.
I thought I would share it in case others may wish to try it out, I highly recommend the new radio.
With thanks to:
Paul - for rooting the HTC Desire
UnrEVOked - for making the above easier and finding ways around the new bootloaders
IEF and co - for the S-OFF hboot
Cyanogen - His Wiki on compiling all things Android and guides on how Android works
Richardtrip & snq- - helped a lot with questions I've had
Teppic74 - Getting me interested in ROM cooking, his modified AP2SD and scaling scripts
iscaela - Undervolt driver
dsixda - for the Kitchen
What you get:
ROM based on 2.29.405 WWE RUU posted here
Busybox (1.17.3)
Bash
Init.d support
NOT deodexed
AP2SD+ via EXT partition (Supports EXT2 and 3)
Read ahead value changed to 128, improves reading speed from the SDCard
Undervolt driver with -100mV on all freq's (Hex edited to support the Kernel from the RUU)
Moved hosts to /data to allow updating via AdFree Android application without the need to have S-OFF (do not use the symlink in AdFree Android)
Perflock disabled (Hex edited to support the Kernel from the RUU)
Updated applications
- REM GSD
Installation Guide
If you do not have an EXT2 or 3 partition on your SDCard, create one before going onto step 2
Copy the ROM .zip file to your SDCard
Reboot into recovery
If you've come from a different ROM, wipe data, ext, cache and dalvik-cache
Flash the .zip file
If you downloaded the ROM Editor script and wish to use it - do not reboot and proceed to step 7. Otherwise reboot as normal
Extract the contents of the ROM-Editor.zip
Run the ROM-Editor.bat file
Select option 1
Read the warning
Follow the prompts on screen
Once applications have been removed, press 3 to exit and reboot
If you've not already installed the recommended Radio, reboot into recovery and install the radio
Download link:

Recommended Radio - one that comes with the RUU
32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27
Addons (Attached to this post)
Reduce Undervolt - Reduces undervolt from 100mv to 75mv, flash if you're experiencing stability issues.
ROM Editor - Run ROMEditor.bat as administrator and follow the on screen instructions. Recommended to run after first flash.

Sorry for my english and for my stupid question but hboot upgrade or not, and is german language supported?
Hi, I installed it 3 hours ago and I'm trying it. It's very fast at now (I put LauncherPro Plus)! So, some question for you:
1) Can I put SetCPU? It will work?
2) If i'd like to uninstall some features like facebook, footprints ecc can I do it?
Thanks in advance.
i waited this really thnx good work
just a question if i am not a fan of a2sd+ and i didnt make an sd ext
if i install this rom it will take more memory than the base rom or what ??
i mean in some roms if it's a2sd+ and u dont have ext after flashing the rom u find that the memory is very low and that's what i'm asking about now..

It's not a stupid question. According to the language menu it supports:
English
English Irish
French
Italian
Spanish
It doesn't contain a hboot upgrade.
You can use German via More Locale2 from the Market, failing that I can try and add German support. I'm surprised a WWE ROM doesn't list German.

1) SetCPU should work yes, this ROM doesn't support overclocking but will allow underclocking.
2) You can remove any applications you want by booting into recovery and removing the .apk and .odex file via adb shell.

It won't take any more memory than the base ROM. Nothing gets installed to the /data partition until you setup phone preferences via the setup wizard, install system application updates via the market or restore backups. Also due to the removal of peep etc, the ROM takes up less space on the /system partition.

I've never used mod install location so I can't say how well it works, I do know that:
1. Not everything can be forced to the SD Card
2. Some applications like flash, third party keyboards and applications with widgets you use, don't like being installed to the SD Card
In regards to the Mirror, does the multi upload link not provide you with more choices that RapidShare? Unfortunately I'm away until the weekend so there's not much I can do until I'm back.

Hi, I'm here again! Can I deodex your ROM with autodeodex from AmonRA? If I deodex it, then I can remove Application like facebook ecc simply from phone...but shall I remove HTC sense too?
Thank you for posting this

Push the bootanimation.zip of your choice to /system/customize/resource, via adb. As its in /system you'll need to do via recovery, unless you're S-OFF and you know how to mount the system as R/W whilst phone is running.

I've rootexplorer, If I put the bootanimation.zip in SD and then with rootexplorer copy it in /system/customize/resource does it work? The phone is S-OFF.

[Q] First time Rooter - Question about Android Rev. HD and Kernels!

Second time poster here (not important, silly first post elsewhere..)
Im new to rooting phones and installing ROMs on phones im really careful about all that stuff D: i dont like to tamper with stuff but this phone has so much more potential to it and i think it can be way faster than how it currently is that i decided to experiment with Android Revolution HD.
Now im posting here because i dont have enough posts to post under the thread, so pardon me if im breaking some rules here but posting there was my first choice.
I have some perhaps simple questions...
when it says "Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) - latest official HTC RUU 1.45.401.2
This is improved version of stock ROM - no visual changes!
New kernel: 2.6.35.14 (under-volted & tweaked). Details below:
CPU up to 1.56 GHz (1.51 GHz by default - original speed for MSN8660 chipset) - controlled automatically by built it O/C Daemon..."
does the ROM come with the kernel included or do i have to go pick it up from the custom kernels in the thread, and if so, which one do i even pick? D:
also, i wish to over clock it! does the custom rom already bring the CPU to 1.56GHz without me having to do anything?
I really dont get kernels and i have read the guides about them over and over again

Hi,
ADHD ROM 3.0.4 comes with kernel already installed, running at 1.56 GHZ.
If you want to over clock, then you need 1.72 kernel.
Check my sig...Faux123.
You need 0.1.0 1.72 to over clock...

The CPU runs at 1.51GHz by default on 3.0.4 and you can go up to 1.56GHz, if you want a higher overclocking you should install the 1.78GHz version of the kernel here :

Thanks guys for the replies! i have another issue regarding the ROM and its exactly the last question from the FAQ on the thread
Q 25: How can I enable built it screen-shot feature on Sense 3.0 < based ROMs?.
A: Edit your build.prop file in /sytem and change:
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = false
to
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = true and clear dalvik-cache or install ShootMe from the Android Market.

now... how does one edit the build.prop file? i tried installing astro file manager, opening the ZIP of the ROM in the SD card, but i didnt see no file and im confused about how to do this as im new to rooting and ROMs.
Could anyone elaborately explain this process for me? im great with step by step instructions. Again id post in the thread but im not allowed to :/ and this is the only issue so far with the ROM everything else works great!

See but after installing the ROM the screenshot isn't working. :-/
You have to go into Efs explorer and mount system r/w to be able to see and edit those files.
Or do it from and teminal session or recovery

Could you please elaborate?
1. Start ES File Explorer
2.Press menu button
3.Go Settings
4. Activate Root Eplorer
5. Mount File System
6. go find the file to edit and do it
You could also download a app called drocap2 and use for screen shot
Screenshot does work by default, it's a bit hit and miss for me though. Works when it feels like it
It is just that mike has disable it in the Android Rev.HD ROM
Because some people had problem that is made screenshots
all the time and they needed to remove battery to be able to turn it off

Awesome! Was able to find the file and all until the very end which didn't allow me to save the text changes from false to true because the file was in a zip.
Any idea around this?
Your in the wrong place.
Look for /system on the top
not on /sdcard
After that boot into recovery and choose
Advanced and wipe dalvik cache and restart

Motorola Fire XT316/XT311/XT317/XT530/XT531/XT532 - All About It

Hello Fire owners!
I open this thread to keep all things of Fire together, only one thread, everything here.
So here we go:
THIS THREAD IS FOR MOTOROLA XT311/XT316/XT317, XT530/XT531, XT532 AND XT611 (aka SMARTFLIP) ONLY. IF YOU HAVE A SIMILAR THREAD, PLEASE PM ME AND PASS ME YOUR POST. LET'S KEEP XDA ORGANIZED!
CWM FOR FIRE XT XT530/XT532, SPICE XT XT531, FIRE XT311, SPICE KEY XT316 OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED
This thread was focused in the 2nd-Init for XT31X and XT530, 531 and 532. For almost six months, we worked patientlly to get the CWM working on our devices. The wait for CWM is OFFICIALLY OVER. In a couple days ago, our friend aweosomeabhijeet found a way to run CWM on Gingerbread. The tutorial (made by himself) will be posted NOW:
Hey Guys
All your wait is over.
Here I'll tell you how to get CWM for Moto Fire XT.
Disclaimer : I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone. I have tried it and finished successfully.
Try only if you know little bit about android.
This is beta version. However, a dev is working on not using a PC to reboot back into system, and is trying to make the installation simplified.
Lot of thanks to andrewidya
Required things
1. Rooted XT
2. Pc
Download these things on your phone:
1. Terminal emulator
2. Busybox(Open it and install)
3. Root browser
4. Pimp my Rom
5. ES file explorer
You can find all of them in the Play Store.
If you have done with it download the attachment.
Now main work.
It is not easy though but I think everyone can do it.
Steps:
1. Extract the attachment and copy it to your sdcard
2. Mount /system as RW.
3. Open Root Browser and copy bootmenu folder from sdcard/XT530 and paste it in /system.
4. Open Pimp My Rom and Add universal init.d support.
5.Create 97bootmenu manually.(For this using ES file explorer is recommended)
Steps:
a.Open /system/etc/init.d
b. Create a file, name it 97bootmenu.
c. Open the file as text
Type:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
stop
exec /system/bootmenu/binary/bootmenu
d.save the file
6. Change permissions of 97bootmenu to rwx r-- r--
7. Reboot your phone.
Now your phone will start at bootmenu.
Select Recovery>Custom Recovery
PS: If you want to get back the phone to boot normally. Just connect it to PC, open CMD and type
cd path-to-adb.exe
adb shell
rm -R /system/etc/init.d/97bootmenu
exit
adb reboot
I succeeded here's the video:

- Extract FXX_PR3_NV.xml and NvDefinition.xml from the attached zip file in to a folder
- Now, install SUT LR, run the app
- Select the FXX_PR3_NV.xml [ensure NvDefinition.xml is also in the same folder as FXX_PR3_NV.xml]
- Your phone will restart.
It does NOT erase anything on the phone, since it only patches the ROM.
Rooting:
After the phone restarts, open SuperOneClick and select root. It will take less than a minute to finish.

about CG2.smg
Hey man I'm interested in the thread and i can help you extracting the CG2.smg
Here you are my tut. [for windows] it worked for me
1- unrar the file in the attachments
2- make sure that your file is named to 'CG2.smg' without quotes for sure, and in the same folder..
3- just run the .bat and wait for cmd to finish the job then you will find a folder called 'CG2-extracted' in the same place you extracted my .rar file
Note: you will find in the folder called 'CG2-extracted' some mbn files, systemsec.mbn is the /system folder in the xt311/xt316
extract it easily using unyaffs like a system.img file, if you need help in this PM me. i can help you extracting systemsec.mbn only, i dunno about other files also to repack systemsec.mbn you'll need mkyaffs and i think it's usable on ubuntu only and i can't help you with it
sorry for long reply but press thanks if i helped.

Anytime Sir ! I just want to help in anyway getting this device better, By the way here's a list of useless applications so far !
- 7x27_FQC.apk
- Arabware.apk < 7 megabytes and useless
- Wifipowersavingmode.apk < I think it drains the battery faster -.-
- i also removed all motoswitch APKs, And installed go launcher instead in the system. And removed pre-installed live wallpapers
Also if you have errors like "preparing sd card - checking for errors" in the status bar you can delete system/bin/fsck_msdos since i deleted i get no errors for my partitioned sd card
Q/Request: Do you know how can i customize Notify led ? Like changing color and speed ? also it doesn't work with whatsapp!
Thanks anyway ! Ps. led works by Notifyled.apk.. of course you know xD
And Yeah, i found some srs files also, time ago, i thought it would be awesome to have a panel for it ! but maybe it's the normal speakers at the back and it's drivers..

No, i don't know, srry!
And we cannot use the control panel with the file incluided in the ROM. Needs a lot of files...
And i'm trying to por XT300 Toggle Widget to XT316. It will be harder but... it's beautiful!

It's weird how motorola build their phones and drivers, unlike samsung they give full customization !
And good luck man i wish i could help but i'm not really helpful in porting and modding

Yeah, Motorola lock the bootloader, locks the customization and much more. We need a CWM. FASTER!
Edit: before 2.3 versions, Motorola odexed the roms. All of the files were odexed. But Motorola now deodexed everything. So it will be easier.
And i think we can port the CWM from XT300. So, let's try!

I didn't know that there was cwm for xt300, but i think, if there is cwm for xt530/xt531/xt532 it'd be easier to port, since xt53X is to close to our xt311/xt316 and it also have 2.3.5 while xt300 2.1 only
Edit: i think xt311/xt316 users will never have custom recoveries/roms unless the bootloader is unlocked, and it'll be so hard to unlock such bootloader since the phone is not popular

Some guys tried to do an 2ndInit to maybe try to get CWM work. But didn't worked. A file from the battery (when you turn off the phone and conntect the charger, the big battery icon) was missing. But works without this file.
AND I FOUND WHERE WE CAN ACTIVATE SRS! Is in cda.prop, it's configured to false.
So what happens if i changed the value to true ?
i don't think cda props apply actually i tried to change the value of lock screen support rotation to true and nothing changed.
And Yup i read something about that battery icon too but i didn't understand fully how does that relate to unlocking bootloader
i think the bootloader must get hacked easily since as i see it's a common bootloader in many fones for ex. xt530 xt531 xt532 xt300 xt311 xt316 xt317 or am i wrong ?
If i can test the ROM in my computer (i don't know how to do it), we see if works. And Bootloader it's not the same for every phone series. XT300 executes 2.1 WITH UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER. And XT316 with 2.3.5 WITH THE LOCKED Bootloader.
The SRS file is in the attachments. Just take a look on the 'st line:
BLOCK... I understand that is blocked.
And the battery icon maybe is on a apk or anywhere. We might look better.
EDIT:
I googled around and i found a thread that talks about CG2.smg. They tried to do the same what i doing, and didn't finish very well. The phone was bricked, but they use some files, replace and the ROM was going on very well.

i actually didn't understand what you said in the "EDIT" but i read that even with a locked bootloader we can have a custom rom, but not a custom kernel right ?
so you can recompress the edited cg2.smg files and re sbf it again after customizing it or am i saying meaningless words ?

OK. I will explain the edit first.
They edit the systemsec.mbn, repack the mbn and repack everything. but they've got an error. Then, the phone was bricked and RSD doesn't saw the phone.
A custom kernel will be pretty great, but we have to unlock the bootloader 1st.

so what kind of error did they get, cause i wanted to do the same as they and repack the rom as sbf and flash it..
also, can we try porting as .nb0 rom? i can see our stock recovery have the option to flash nb0 files

This is cda.prop right?
it has some tweaks like build.prop, if you tried to change the mobile model that appears to the market from build.prop it won't work, but if you change it from cda.prop it will work also it have some other tweaks that i actually don't know what's it's use
And Don't Forget Thanks Button ^^
XT316 bricked
Hello guys, sorry if this is not the best place to post a problem but, this is the only one active discussion about XT316 that i have found, i have this phone with Brazil Claro stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread Android installed, then i have installed the ChainFire3D hoping to have better experience with some games...
But i got a bricked phone... when powering on, the phone shows only the Motorola logo, then a black screen with no response, and continous reboot
I started the phone in recovery mode and tryed to perform a Factory Recover, but no sucess, same with Wipe Cache Partition option, so, what is left to do now is my question...

[TUTORIAL][GUIDE]Complete Guide to ROOTING, CWM & ROM(s) for LAVA ETAB XTRON+(RK3066)

[TUTORIAL][GUIDE]Complete Guide to ROOTING, CWM & ROM(s) for LAVA ETAB XTRON+(RK3066)
Here is a short review first
| HARDWARE |:-: Talking about the Lava Xtron+’s hardware, the tablet boasts a dual core Cortex A9 CPU with each core clocked at 1.5Ghz and a Mali 400 Quad Core GPU.
Well, for the proof of graphics power, see the benchmarks by fonearena.com ,63.9 fps in nenamark, and the most important thing according to me, RK3066 IS THE BEST LAST GEN GAMING CHIPSET BETTER THAN TEGRA 3...I am a true geek and after searching for 20+ hours came to a conclusion that this is the best piece of android till 12-13k,(except Lumia 520 but it is windows)..
| BATTERY | :-:Coming on to battery, When I opened the battery stats page I find that Cell standby had consumed nearly 60% of the battery.WHAT!? Cell standby is the battery used by radio cells for mobile networks. This tablet DOES NOT have cell radio! The engineers working on this tablet didn't even bother to setup the OS properly and instead chose to simply download Android 4.2, flashed it in the tablet and have put it up on sale.
The Flipkart page reports the battery capacity to be 3,700mAh, which is probably wrong since the official specifications page on Lava’s website reports it to be only 3,000mAh. I can't be sure..:silly:
AIRPLANE MODE IS NOT COMPLETELY WORKING DUE TO DEFECTIVE DRIVERS (CELL RADIO DRIVERS ARE PRESENT IN THIS TAB SO IT SEARCHES FOR DRIVERS CONTINUOUSLY AND FUC*S BATTERY UP!:crying There is a fix in the post
| SCREEN |:-:The front of the Lava Xtron+ holds a 7-inch sharp IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1024 x 600. It’s a bright screen and with a pixel density of 170 PPI, it is pretty sharp too. The best part about the display is that, despite being an LCD screen, it’s not a battery consuming monster. I always found its battery usage to be lower than processes. The screen is prone to scratches though and is highly reflective.
We can enable the biggest advantage of PC gaming in android now, i.e 4xMSAA in deveoper settings, makes gaming experience even better than tegra 3

Before starting i would say that i am not responsible if any guides here bricks your device ( it should not happen at all if u follow all steps properly as the chances of permanent brick of rk3066 is very slim but boot loop is a possibility) I made this thread to collect everything I've done in one place. This should make everything very straightforward and basically most probably n00b-proof.
| ROOTING | :-:
Pre Requisites-Working drivers (if not then no problem), OEM USB Cable, LAVA ETAB XTRON+, 2 windows apps and PATIENCE
{Screen shots of important steps is in the attachements}
(i) For Drivers download and install moborobo
HTML:
http://download.moborobo.com/download/Client/Moborobo(Moborobo_En_official).exe
(ii) In tablet go to in Settings >developers options and turn it on and enable USB Debugging & before connecting it to your PC go into the tab's
settings again and click on storage. In it you will find 3 dots in top right hand corner.> USB computer connection >Enable Mass storage
Note: DO "NOT" TURN USB STORAGE "ON".(When Connected to PC)
Note: Remove your external SD card before rooting.
(iii) Connect it to your PC and click on refresh and install/find drivers and it will download and install them..(there might be a security warning
about force install) Now, it may not recognize the model no, IMEI and other things and say that the device is JB7+ but the only thing you
should look for to make sure it is the right device is the total size and usage of internal Memory and NAND Flash..
(iii) Now drivers are securely installed and the tab is connected in the right way (there is no OEM (LAVA) drivers anywhere)
Download the zdm (Chinese software) in the attachments (For Every Step first see the screenshot)
Note:IT MAY INSTALL SOME USELESS SOFTWARE ON UR PC AND TAB , BUT IT CAN BE UNINSTALLED.
(iii)) When it detects the there will be something written like this in the bottom right corner :??ROOT : ONE or something like that (not in screen
shots as the tab is already rooted ) but it must be in green colour. This is the confirmation that the device can be rooted.
(iv) Now click on the Root Button in left hand side
(v) Click twice on green (thingy) first where it says ROOT then again for the confirmation popup (says something else but in green box)
(vi) Rooting Process has begun and the tab will restart (my PC is quite fast so it was almost instantly restarted and the Super SU was flashed it may or may not take 2-3 mins)
Note:IT WILL INSTALL SUPERUSER , WHICH IS OUTDATED BUT BEFORE DOWNLOADING OTHER SUPERUSER APP , USE THE ONE PRE-INSTALLED TO UPDATE SU BINARY.
DEVICE IS ROOTED WOOT! WOOT! you can also check by using Titanium Backup or root checker.
Mod Edit: Rooting method also described by Mohd.Anas here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48776299
How to fix battery:-:
Get root explorer open system/app and rename phone .apk and telephonesomething.apk to phone.bak and telephonysomething.bak, you are good to go..
Also, you should change the WiFi scanning interval to 500 I.e 5 min as you really just require one scan when connecting to a known network..change the wifi supplicant scan interval to 500 build.prop
| CLOCKWORKMOD CUSTOM RECOVERY (GENERIC RK3066) 6.0.3.1|:-:
There are 2 methods one is tested by me(both are the same recovery created by the famous user "fun" at androtab.info), it works on our tab because when I opened the kernel.img with a hex editor (like Neo Hex Editor) the first line started with "KRNL" so I have a dedicated kernel in the kernel partition and I can just use the generic CWM. You can also follow this procedure just to be sure..make a online nandroid backup find kernel.img and open it up in pc in hex editor..
(A)METHOD TESTED BY ME
(i) Firstly you have to get the arctools apk, either by registering at their forum..
HTML:
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arctools-application/clockworkmod-cwm-recovery-easy-install-on-rk3066-and-rk3188-devices/
(ii) Click on download and select RK3066 CWM fun androtabinfo 6.0.3.1, there is only one option like that so it may or may not be in order.
(iii) Afer downloading click on install apps give i superuser permission and Voila! CWM.
(iii) You should also see the log right in the middle of the apps to verify that the flash and push thingy worked correctly with no errors
(iii) Select Reboot to recovery or Turn the tab off and press power button+vol up and the recovery should open
YEAH! YOU NOW HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL OF YOUR TAB
(B)METHOD NOT TESTED BY ME
HTML:
http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/
(i) DOWNLOAD RK30GENERIC_CWM.zip from
HTML:
http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/
(ii) Here are the different ways to flash this zip file
HTML:
http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/install/
|CUSTOM ROM(s)|:-:
There is only one ROM which is worth flashing and even that might be slightly buggy..
Well, I don't recommend to flash a custom ROM here as they may have bugs like Wifi still if you want the following features
Auto Install Feature: This allows you to install apk's automatically on first boot, if you have the apk files located in a folder named autoinstall on your external SD card.
HTML:
http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?8910-Auto-APK-Install-Feature
Rooted with SuperSU
Debloated of all Lava bloatware
Google Play Store tweaks added to improve availability of apps
Init.d support
Busybox support
English language default (all other languages are still supported)
Boot screens by Tattman65
Flash Tool by Finless
Reboot app by Petrus
Here is Lava Xtron+ RileyROM 1.1
HTML:
http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?10688-Lava-Xtron-RileyROM-1-1
Complete flashing procedure in extreme detail is in the ROM zip file (it is a PDF file named first time user guide , very helpful)..Personally I have not flashed the ROM as I don't think it is worth the hassle and possibility of no Wifi...
PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS IF I HELPED YOU, IT REALLY MOTIVATES ME!:highfive:
Thank you.. I was waiting for a method to crack this tab.. Will comeback with result.
Ext4 support
Can somebody tell me if ext4 is supported or not, when i try link2 sd it says not supported but I am pretty sure that the system partition itself is Ext 4, (I'm the one who made the guide)
Try ext3. It will be supported.

Well, I have tried it there are some problem in link2sd, but according to an nandroid the system and data are ext4 , I have set up everything in ext2 and would hate to do it all over again, is there a way to verify support of ext 3 or 4 acc to wiki, kernel above 2.6 support ext4 and the kernel here is 3.0... One more ting, when I tilt the tab, I think that something heavy is moving around inside slightly, probably battery should I ask for a replacement? I have 4-5 days remaining I bought from flipkart, I do have a complete SD and nandroid backup..
EDIT: in d/tracing events ext4 there is a file called enable and the value inside is zero should I change it to 1
I think I found out the culprit, the first partiton that I tried was ext2 so link2d created a script for that..now, when I try to use ext3 or 4 ..it still tries to use that same script..so I willl delete the script then try again...
Successfully Rooted..! Sorry for the delay..!

Well you are familiar with cwm or do you even have it installed, if you do then just go to install zip from sd card and select the zip file...secondly if you have a cwm nandroid backup (recommended) just go to backup and restore select resotre or restore from externel sd and then select the date of the required backup file then click restore..If you do have a cwm nandroid backup then it MUST work...if you don't even have the recovery then, ist step is to install it through THE guide then, try to do the ist (not recommended) option...
I have cwm installed on my tablet but i dont have stock rom of lava xtron plus

[Guide] Multi Boot Note 3 (Video Guide Added)

[Guide] Multi Boot Note 3 (Updated 24/07/2015)
*** Hi Guys i no longer have a note 3 so i cant do any testing but our team member is here to give support for you all and even im here to give support except testing. please contact @[email protected] and @djnim for support.***
I am using this on SM-N9005 Snapdragon Variant of the Note 3; I believe this will work with other Note 3 Variants as well. Few of them are already tested and you can find them below. Others who have different variants which are not tested can try this and update us, and we will be here to help you out if you are ready to try this out.
@chenxiaolong is the one who made this happen to our beloved Note 3
Main advantage of this is you can try any new rom with out loosing or having any kind of trouble with your existing rom. This mod will not change anything in your primary rom, so any time you can go back to your normal state.
Disclaimer

2.Before going further! YOU are choosing to make these modifications.
supported Devices: ( Tested and confirmed working)
SM-N9005 (International Qualcomm): hlte (Tested by me )
SM-N900T (T-Mobile US): hltetmo (Tested by @MistaEast ) confirmation post
SM-N900R4 (US Cellular): hlteusc (Tested by @harshal10398 ) confirmation post

Requirements
* Read the full guide before Starting.
* Backup your phone if you are doing this first time. (Full Nandroid backup recommended for the new comers and it’s also recommended to others who don’t know what they are doing exactly even if they have multi booted several times)
* Rooted Note 3 with custom recovery (preferred TWRP or philz).
* free space in your internal SD (for example a Cm based roms take up to 2.5GB to 3.5GB and a TW roms take up to 5GB or more.)
* If you face any trouble please read the FAQ before doing something or asking for help. And if you want help please provide as much as details(device, roms, etc.) you can.
*
Instruction:
1.Download your desired Rom which you want to use for multi booting and the mods, addons, gapps, Kernel etc for the same. Keep the files in your internal memory.
2. Download the most recent snapshot release of Dual Boot Patcher and install it on your Note 3.
3. Open Dual Boot Patcher and grant SU permission. Then go to ROMS and you will see your Primary rom, press the 3dotmenu key and click "set kernel". If it fail to set kernal please read the FAQ.
4. Then In Dual Boot Patcher go to Patch Zip File and Choose hlte for snapdragon variant and ha3g for Exynos veriant (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) from the drop down menu.
5. In the second drop down menu select "Data Slot".
6. Below that you have to enter the ID of the secondary rom.(Example 1, 2, 3, etc. - it will take it as /data/multiboot/data-slot-1)
7.Now tap on the below button to choose the ROM's, Gapps, Kernel and mods to patch them and make them perfect for Multi booting.
8. Always remember to keep same slot ID for the Gapps, kernels and mods same as the rom. (Example: if you want to flash the gapps/kernel to the data-slot-1 rom then you have to select the same ID that’s 1 or if you want to flash the gapps/kernel to the data-slot-2 rom then you have to select the same ID that’s 2.)
9. When selecting the files except cm rom zip there will be a “preset” drop down menu, from that you have to select according to the file you are going to patch. (Examp: for roms, kernels, mods, addons – custom; for gapps – Google_Apps; for Su zip – other/SuperSu; For xposed-Other/Xposed)
10. Now press the tap to begin patching button to patch the file. And you will get a new patched zip file in the same location.
11. Now Boot into custom recovery and flash the new patched file and reboot.
12. And your device will boot into New Rom.
13.Install the Dual Boot Patcher app and set the kernel for your second ROM as well.
14. To switch between roms
•Open Dual Boot Patcher app/roms and click on primary or secondary rom as you like and reboot.
•Or Use Swap Roms to switch between Roms.
* Important things to keep in mind: while installing a rom or mod with Aroma installer don't reboot directly from the aroma.
You have to always uncheck the last option to reboot in aroma and click finish. So it can finish the final steps for multi booting.
And if you miss that it will only reboot to recovery. To boot back you have to flash your primary rom kernel or re-flash the patched rom.
Never update a secondary rom through OTA Update.
*. For other devices:
1. You have to download and install X-plore File Manager (which I am using) from play store.
2. Open X-plore File Manager from app drawer and navigate to the patched zip file and open it.
3. Now you will see a folder named multiboot inside that you will find info.prop, now open info.prop with the text editor which comes with the x-plore file manager.
• And then find and change mbtool.installer.ignore-codename=false to mbtool.installer.ignore-codename=true
Revert
To revert back or if you face any problem just flash my Multi Boot cleaner.zip which will wipe all the installation files from \system and restore the primary rom kernel.
As a backup keep a copy of your kernel flashable zip file.
FAQ
1. I can't set the primary rom kernel in xyz rom. And I can’t switch to other rom in primary rom.
Ans. Just download the set kernel fix as per your model and flash it in the recovery.
The above fix only work for primary rom. If you have trouble with any other roms just add ro.patcher.device=hlte(for other models add your model instead of hlte) to the bottom of build.prop of that rom and you are good to go.
If you don’t know how to do that just pm me and I will make a flash able zip to add it to your secondary rom.
if the above didnt work Read this post please
2. App sharing?
Ans. Until now no luck. (Still under testing)
3. This rom can’t be patched.
Ans. some roms are not supported its known, if the Dev have time may be he will consider including them.

1. First of all have you grant super user permission for Dual Boot Patcher. If not just reboot and try again.
2. Do you have enough space in your sdcard (internal) for the backup of the kernel.
3. Just check if there is sdcard/multiboot/primary/boot.img is their.
4. Try the 8.0.0.r1119.g9c51715 version of dual boot patcher if the above didn’t help.

I have tried the rom but same result as yours. But don’t worry I have an alternative way to set the kernel for your primary rom.
First make folders in your SDCard, “MultiBoot” in it “Primary” it should be like: Sdcard/MultiBoot/Primary
Then extract the boot.img from your rom zip and copy it to Sdcard/MultiBoot/Primary
So the result will be Sdcard/MultiBoot/Primary/boot.img
It’s done.

To make space in your system partition.
1. Delete what ever apps you are not using from system/app and syatem/priv-app (Don’t delete if you don’t know what it is or what your are doing.)
Example: shealth, etc.
2. Move some google apps from /system/app to /data/app to make them user app using root explorer.
Example: maps, gmail, chrome, etc.

To dual boot two TW roms is very hard. Because there is not enough space to fit both system file in your system partition. Other wise you have to deboalt the primary rom and you have to deboalt secondary rom zip before flashing. And by doing so you will lose most of the features of your TW roms.
And if you want to use CM as primary and TW rom as secondary its possible but not recommended. Because you will have trouble with flashing mods etc for your TW rom.
The better option at the moment is to keep the TW rom as Primary and others a secondary.
