Does anyone have a link to the latest version by chance? Thank you very much.
Just realised I'm in the wrong section, can a mod move this for me please? Sorry bout that.

My bootloader isn't unlocked bro, or I would've flashed the FXP kernel and gotten it instead, thanks for the help though mate.

no problems. use the rom manager app from the market and select HTC desire HD but why would you want. CWM anyways? only J's ROM have edify. cwm won't accept pretty much all the update.zips unless you covert them to edify ...

I wanna test out J's FXP 30 release. Thanks mate.

umm, sorry to say mate, you'll HAVE to unlock your bootloader =[
J's CM7 requires HIS kernel to be run, and his kernel requires the unlocked bootloader.
Otherwise, bootloop =[
Well, if you need help in unlocking your bootloader, just ask,
Phil.

I know the entire process, my issue with unlocking it is my phone was unlocked via a third party software that the_laser didn't make a supported unlocker for. Eh, it's aight, just need to stick to the basics and no more.

First thanks for the info, I didn't know where to get it.
So this recovery is useless atm, it won't work to flash other roms?
and Why do we need to select HTC desire HD?I think last time I downloaded this app the x10 was not listed, is that model compatible with the x10's?

Apparently so, but only for unlocked bootloaders, originally I was looking for the CWM that FXP team had modded to work on the x10, but it seems even those files are unavailable now since the bootloader has been unlocked, unfortunately.

nahh, its just that the developer of ROM Manager hasn't put x10 on the list. but HTC Desire HD works. No big boo hoo, it works, so nothing really matters... right?

[Q] ClockworkMod ROM Manager

I was trying to make a backup of my current ROM/info before I installed a new kernel, but when I click "Backup current ROM", I get a pop up that says
Flash Clockworkmod Recovery
You must have CLockworkMOD Recovery Installed before continuing! Install the recovery through ROM Manager first.
I click Install and it asks me to confirm my phone model, but the closes thing that it offers to my phone model is the Samsung t-Mobil Galaxy S2. Is this the one I should use? Or is there another way I should be going about this?
Sorry for all the n00b questions, just want to make sure I do everything right incase I have to fix my phone. haha
Select t-mobile.
Sent from my SGH-I727R using xda premium
Yes you must choose tmobile galaxy s2. Its the same as our phone, ours is not listed. But that is what everyone who uses rom manager does
Don't choose Motorola Startac, you're phone will explode....
As mentioned, the T-Mo Clockwork mod option is the one you want. That is, unless they have added proper Skyrocket option since the last time I flash in CWM.

I just installed the Touch Recovery from Rom Manager using the Android Market in-app purchase. Updated my CWM to 5.8.1.3, from what I gather on the website, this is the T-Mobile SGS 2 version. Works fine from what I can tell/tested.

Coming from Nexus s, new to G2X

Hi All,
just got a second line for work and i bought a g2x. got it rooted but haven't flashed a recovery yet.
is it true i can't just flash it via clockmod? on cyanogenmod's website it specifically says its the way to flash recovery but ive noticed in a few posts here that it will not flash recovery. i can really use some lights on this guys.
Thanks in advance.

To flash recovery the correct way, head on over to here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847
If by clock mod you mean ROM manager, you can. But you will get your phone bricked if something goes south.
This phone is unbrickable, almost. Nvflash cwm on it and flash roms via it.
Search is your diaper friend.

So yes, and no...but yes. Confused yet?
You CAN use Rom Manager to flash a recovery and do backups / flash roms. The only issue comes up when you bork something up, and by you I mean rom manager of course, and you get a boot loop and have to pull the battery to get into recovery....you can't. It's got to do with the partitions RM uses I think. If you read enough you'll see that RM "fake flashes" CWM to your phone and you can't access it if it gets borked. Soooo you use Nvidia's NVFlash utility to flash CWM to your phones recovery partition. Then you're good to go. If you dig up the old CM7 thread, Cyanogen basically said that NVFlash replaces Fastboot for the G2x, but he uses RM from then on out.
Sooo use TGA_Gunnman's tool linked in the post above to install CWM the first time, then use RM is you so choose too. FWIW I've never used RM.
!
Thank you! got it now
i've been reading and trying the ICS roms, none seem to be as stable as a gingerbread rom.
what are you guys using?

is v6 built in or do i need to port and flash?
I don't understand why people tell you to use ROM manager.
Only use nvflash to flash clockwork, and ONLY use ROM manager to rename your backups and to boot into recovery. Never use ROM manager to flash ANYTHING.
ICS ROMs are all pretty much betas for this phone. If you want stable stay with stock or cm7.

No, you can find the v6 super charger script instructions in Android hacking and general section I think.

Hi. I really started to hate android.
OK,What's wrong with my O1? I'm using stock 2.3.3 unrooted to flash recovery. I rooted, i flashed a recovery and bang...just a hard reset no recovery installed! I tried with ROM Manager and few other apps, but it''s not succesful. I've tried to flash V10H.kdz (2.2.2 froyo) and try again but..no. ROM Manager says its succesfully installed CWM and when i click BOOT TO RECOVERY it boots to...hard reset. What is wrong with my O1?!
All new users flashing recovery through rom manager getting this problem

first the method work for many if u follow the instructions carefully
second if u hate android who cares just go we were only helping u because u asked not becausr u oredered
Ok, i was angry. I DO NOT HATE ANDROID. But it's obviously not my favourite. I just don't like its UI. I want XPERIA-ICS as XPERIA TimeScape UI has the best UI for me, and Sense too (but we don't have any stable working sense ROM's).
So can someoen rpovide me older version of CWM for old baseband? I can flash it with recovery flasher, and please let it be in .img format, as recoveries in .zip format cannot be flashed.
I Have CWM in ZIP format, but i cant flash with with AmonRA,wich im using. So hwo to remove amonRA,and install CWM properly?

Flash cwm over amonra.. same.. like you flash a rom through recovery.
You can later theme your phone just like xperia or sense.
Hi I have a suggestion for u
Find an app to reboot on fastboot then use this(download a good recovery image coz the one in the one provided in this tuto is bad)
Good luck!

Rooted but no idea how to upgrade

Good day to members of xda community. I've currently rooted my butterfly (x920d Taiwan) using some Chinese guy's guide which uses DNA's recovery. So I'm stuck at the point where I want to upgrade the recovery to a working one. I'm not sure if it is possible to just switch to another recovery as I do not want to brick the phone. Neither am I asking people to brick their phones testing. I'd be glad if anyone has any advice or knowledge to guide me. Can't seem to remember if my recovery is removed or clockwork. Thanks in advance

Download latest TWRP Recovery for x920d from here -> http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/dlxub1
Flash in fastboot and done. Not sure what 'upgrade' are you mentioning ???
To be honest, I'm not so sure myself. Lol. For now, I just want a working recovery instead of an unstable one. Secondly, I'd probably want to get super su working if it's possible.
Thanks for your reply =)

Thanks v-b-n. You have my gratitude. I have no idea if I would brick my phone by trying to flash recovery as I m not sure which recovery I was using. But the good news is that it worked, so, my sincerest gratitude. Quick question. Is there n updated stock Rom out there somewhere? If so, what's the latest version? (would like to know as I need a starting point) =x
Thanks in advance once again
