I REALLY wanna get a Samsung galaxy s II , but i live in latinoamerica so i need to buy online in usa stores, i have bought from amazon.com before but the galaxy s ii is kinda expensive 570 $ while plemix.com is offering the device for 525 $ , are they reliable? they suposedly charge extra 25 $ for the shipping but i dont care since im getting 3 devices, i could save quite a bit of cash
it's much safer to buy from a reputable online store, than some nobodies that noone knows about. I'll stick with Amazon if I were you
Amazon has good return/exchange policies
that place is a big unknown
and by the way... that site is from China http://whois.domaintools.com/plemix.com
i'd not trust stuff shipped from there
sometimes they are not good quality

what a shame, the prices were good , now i know why
I have bought a couple of phones from them a few years ago and they where great to deal with, shipping (to Canada) was 3 days and the product was tip top.
I picked up a phone from them a few years ago, no issues at all.
anyone else? 2 yes vs one no hahaha

Hello everyone,
I found a man called Kenny Taylor that sells phones, and I compared prices,
he`s prices are ridiculously low,
he`s saying that he works at chinamobile as a sales rep,
though I really couldn`t find any information about him or about phones in the site,I could manage to see only blackberry`s there.
He claims that the phones are brand new,in original box and with all accessories and they are not china clones.
He`s quotes for the phones I wanted -
iPhone 3GS 16GB (unlocked) - 300$
iPhone 3GS 32GB (unlocked) - 350$
HTC Hero - 250$
HTC Nexus one - 230$
International shipping via Fedex/USPS - 60$.
The prices here are 300$ less than the MSRP,and I don`t know if I should buy from him - maybe it`s a scam or something.
If anyone knows the person/company,and did buy from one of them - it would be nice to hear about that.
*if the thread is not in the right section of the forum,it would be nice if you could move it to the correct one*
**this thread is not about advertising the company/the guy, just for information matters**
Lots of thanks,
Danny.
100% SCAM!! Those prices are ludicrous, no way in hell are those real, most likely you will get nothing at all. and FYI, mobiles and pretty much all electronics are more expensive in China than in the US, and China Mobile shops are the MOST expensive places. STAY AWAY!
Thank you mlalahoi, actually I was going to buy the nexus one from him,
knew I should ask in here first.
Quick update -
I have got an answer from the company,I have to say that it sounds very believable..
Thanks for your mail.
This person that you are talking about i don't no him but he can be a
scammer too that want to you buy from him...
So i will advice you to buy from us to try and have believe in the
company...we no that there is alot of scam out there.
We are not scam we are real company that as been in business for more
then 8 years now...once we confirm your payment we are going to ship
the phone to you at your home address.
The reason the price is so low is the we buy direct from the company
that product the phone in bulks and right now we are running promo in
the company for buy 3units and get 1 for free.
So if you are going to buy the Htc Nexus one only the payment is via
western union not paypa...because is too low for the payment
condition.
Below is the condition about that payment
Any orders form $100usd to $3000usd=== via western union.
Any orders form $3000usd to $4500usd=== via bank transfer.
Any order form $4500usd above is via paypal.
So you are going to pay the money via western union money transfer.
So get back with your shipping address information so that we can
started packing and label your order ready for shipment.
Regards
Sale Rep.

That's not believable at all if you know what to look for. First, the grammar and spelling is atrocious. Any real company would take the time to actually write their correspondence letters in a professional manner. Secondly, a legitimate, respectable company would never use Western Union to transfer money, no matter the amount. Every money transfer scam I've ever seen uses Western Union, since it's not traceable or reversable. I would not buy from any seller selling new devices at those rediculous prices; even if bought at wholesale prices, they would lose a lot of money selling that cheap. My advice is to stick with a reputable seller so you don't end up losing a few hundred dollars and not get anything in return, as I can guarantee you won't get what you order from these people.
Thank you for your answer Dave,I`ll stay away.
Once again - thank you all for your time.

It's not that bad, heh, but there are a few things you should keep in mind:
do not buy "genuine" stuff from China, either you're gonna get a fake or worse: nothing
go with established stores like DealExtreme or FocalPrice
use only PayPal, only scammers use Western Union
engrish is somewhat the norm, even with bigger stores :/
if you're getting a phone from there, choose one which has been properly reviewed, DealExtreme is very good in that regard as they have a very active forum and users , so you know what are you buying
If she reaches for a handful you'd better have the energy!
Hello,
I would like to thanks HOTMID.com and especially Tony who has given me top notch professional service from the order point and up to delivery and after sale point.
Extremely professional sales and customer service always fast and polite even when you have 1000 questions to ask!
I have ordered an tablet from them but for some reasons I felt discomfort with the model I ordered and week later I decided return it. I shipped them back the device and got full refund for the device, for the dock and for the DHL shipping!
Extremely happy and for sure will be repeating customer of this amazing guys!
PS; They have Asus transformer and many other branded models as well as the T2 (GTAB with 3G), Samsung Tablets at amazing rates and dozens of other great products. If you need true service and support. Go with HOTMID.com you won't be sorry!
Anyone else bought from this site ? i want to buy Huawei Ascend D1 or Xiomi m2 when start selling. should i trust this site ?
worst site!
I ordered 2 tablets for the first time from this site the service was nothing like described above
I paid for express shipping and took them 8 days to show up at dhl (yes it was in stock)
when i tried contacting them I got info that was of no use at all
so i tried contacting them again (3 mails in total) and they just ignored me
the tablets still need to arrive but I know for sure that I will never order from this site again!
I found the tablets i wanted for 10 dollars cheaper then the other Chinese sites so I ordered it here....
looking back on it it wasn't worth the 10 dollar less I never experienced any site this bad
I regularly order something from dx.com which is far from perfect and even they are a lot better and faster ( just to comparing Chinese sites)
example:
when something goes wrong on dx (or a lot of the other Chinese sites) you can even live chat with a employee
this site however refused to do anything about the situation at all and almost denied that I paid for express shipping!
conclusion:
well if u see a product on this site that you really wan't and cant buy elsewhere fore a similar price you can order it here but don't pay extra for the express shipping because its a rip of, but I strongly recommend buying your stuff elsewhere
High Prices
Hi,
I just left their site: http://hotmid.com/ , their prices seem to be WAY out of line. I recently purchased my new Lenovo IdeaPad A2109A @ my nearby Best Buy store for $ 249.00, and as you can see here : http://hotmid.com/android-tablets/lenovo.html the same model is $ 329.00 on their site. It DOES pay to compare !!
David
I was just curious as to if anyone uses those flip phones, or the bar style phones anymore? I recently bought a company that sells phones accessories, and I have thousands of leather cases, clips and holsters for sale. I'm just not sure how many people still have those style phones. And do they even make Nextel phones anymore? Please let me know. And if you would like to buy a couple, I'll give you a deal. But that will be in another post in the Marketplace section.
Well there still are some candybar phones in the wild, some are even being released right now. You also have to take into account Blackberry diehards
As to flip phones i think they're pretty much dead, there are still some in the very low end side of the market, but generally a person who buys that kind of phone isn't very likely to buy a case for it, since it would probably cost twice the phone itself lol...
Using a slide out to side phone, maybe trade my phone next year by a Nozomi or something with good specs with QWERTY keyboard, from SE too.

The ones I'm selling are only a $1 a piece, but to ship is going to cost twice that. So I was going to sell like 10 for $5 or something like that. But yeah, I have an Inpsire 4G, and most of the phones my family uses are just as gargantuan. I know AT&T still sells flip phones, but I don't really know anybody that uses them.
I am going to upgrade my phone soon. So it will be mint. I am getting a new one sent to me from tmobile because I have device protection plan and a button is not working correctly. So the back cover and battery are the only things that wont be new. It will come with all original things in the box and an otterbox case in ok condition. So new phone old back and battery but in good condition. How much?
There is a recent completed auction on ebay where a new one went for $270. An unlocked used one went for $240.

So do u think that it would be fair to put it up for $200 o.b.o?
Is time critical?

No I will be selling it about the 15th of this month because it will be paying for some of my HTC One S that I will be purchasing on the 22nd when it is released for tmobile.

Here are some links to recent closed auctions on new HTC HD2's. Draw attention to the newness but let them know the truth. Used ones are going for a lot less.

If time is not of the essence, then put it up for 7 days set to end around 10-11PM Pacific. (most of the US is at home around those times so they are more apt to be near their computer if they are watching the item.) But don't set it to end on a Friday or Saturday night.
I would start bidding off at $1 with a buy it now of $230 or so. Buy it now is for the sap that just has to have it and you take a little trade in price for the early sale. The $1 opening bid will attract a lot of watchers thinking they will get a good deal. They may, but you will most likely get what you want.
Look at the links of the high sellers that I cited above and copy their auctions. Read the text well and make sure it is truthful. Since yours is not completely NEW, be sure to list that it is pristine EXCEPT for the following....... blah, blah, blah. Do that part at the top of the details so there is no excuse if they don't see it.
Don't use a generic picture. Take pics of the actual phone you are selling, including the parts that are not new like the battery cover so the people will see that it still looks brand new even though the battery cover is used.
Most important..... Put in the auction title/description the carrier name and NO CONTRACT!!. THAT DRAWS THE MOST ATTENTION TO YOUR PHONE.
Something to the effect of " Never used HTC HD2 T-Mobile Smartphone. NO CONTRACT"
List the auction as new with the exception of .....
List your accessories in the body and picture them. List in the title if you have the room. Simply add "w/accessories" and list the items below in the details.
Shipping is your choice. I would list it as being able to ship out the next business day after confirmed payment or ships same day if payment is early enough. You can charge for shipping or offer free expedited shipping. (Flat Rate Priority USPS box will run you $5 plus a couple of bucks for delivery confirmation)
I would do paypal only. If they want to send a check, pass on it or let them know it will not ship until 5-7 days after receipt of the check for it to clear completely. But really I would not even go there.
Good luck.
That is what I would do. Just my two cents. This is how I sell my old phones and I have always been successful at getting top dollar.
Thank you so much. I will do exactly this when it is time to sell. I will start bidding around the 11th or so so that I will have time to sell it and get the money so that I can purchase a new phone. I just need it as long as I can because I dont want to be without a phone for to long. Again thanks for the help!
Post back here when you start our finish so we can see how it went.
Good luck.
Ya for sure! I will post a link to the auction when I start it.
Has anyone had any luck buying from what seems like a good deal on phones from one of these Chinese sites? Particularly Actual wares. Com
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda premium
would rather suggest dont buy
there are imei prob
bt worst is battery life for such phone
I bought a phone from some seller on Alibaba a few years ago. It was my first chinese android phone. You can base your decision on things like seller reputation and such. Only problem I found were shipping times. Got it after 3 months. I bet it's not always like that.

Buy only from online shops that have been selling goods for many years. You can check some phone models and reviews here: www.chinaphonereview.com
Focalprice
You try focalprice there are a lot of android phone and they send
Anything over $50 and I prefer to keep it in the same country. Things have a higher chance of being lost and getting bad customer service when the people who you are buying from don't speak the same primary language as you.
Also, unless you pay more for shipping (or it is included). Shipping time from China can range from less than two weeks, to over a month.
(I) tried ordering a (S)mall battery once, it (W)as lost (I)n shipping somewhere at a pos(T) office, w(H)o knows where...
If anybody is still interested in this topic, I ordered a ZTE V970 from etotalk recently. I chose them mainly because they accepted paypal. Order was placed on Friday evening, shipped on the following Monday and was delivered to me in Belgium on Wednesday. I can't fault the delivery time, the phone has been great so far. Only problem was the custom charges (an extra €25).
