[Q] Working file browser in Mango - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
Is there a working file browser that supports Mango? I need to put a file in Windows folder but I cannot do this under Mango with TouchXplorer as it is not working.
Regards,
Cina.

Anyone?
How can I put a file in Windows folder under Mango? I have no Hungarian dictionary with localised mango and I need dictionary.040E.dat in Windows to have it working. Under 7712 it worked this way.
Please if you have and idea share it here.
Cina.

For working TouchExplorer on official Mango update you have read that thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271963

From the thread you've referred I had this question already without a solution:

TouchXplorer doesn't run because it is not yet compatible with mango (as far as I know).

It is confirmed as INTEROP Unlocked devices after 7720.68 cannot use TouchXPlorer. That is why my question still appealing.
So other than TouchXplorer is there a method to get my file to Windows folder?

Hello, you must using for example wp7root tools. But you must unlock phone

I have a HD7 with XBOXMOD 1.01 ROM which is basically ROOTed. I can install any xap and I can update the phone with any CAB of XBOXMOD files. But there is no way to copy a file to Windows folder even if your device is rooted.
WP7Tools is not working with HTC devices yet.

help a noob

Need some advice please guys
I have a samsung omnia 7, that is chevron unlocked. I would like to install mango OS on it. I currently have os version 7.0.7004. I have already followed the instructions on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152422 and have copied over the relevant files (.xml) and I have also got mango ready to install.
COuld somebody help me out?
Thanks
First things first. I would suggest using zune to update to 7392. Make sure you update to that first and still are unlocked. Once you have done that there is a wealth of information in this thread on how to proceed from there.
The main thing you need to remember is in that zip file there is a xap called -Unlock_Mango_XBMODDeployer.xap deploying this file and copying over the file it creates to your Windows directory on the phone is CRUCIAL to keeping the phone unlocked throughout the procedure. Basically it makes a file called CustClear.provxml and this file is located in My Documents\My Ringtones\ on the phone after you run that xap. Be sure to install TouchXplorer.xap on your phone and just use that to copy that file to your windows directory.
And AFTER you have run the update do the provision of that file. On samsung devices I am not sure how you do that but search through this forum and I am sure you will figure it out.
Good luck

Thanks for the reply man!
I was really starting to doubt this commnity.
Can i use any version of zune to update and how do i keep the unlock?
Will zune just update to the NODO one alone and not bypass that and update to the latest firmware?
Okay, so i have updated to the latest build of mango and i have lost my unlock. I followed the instructions to the letter and no joy. Can i get it back?
Remember that custclear file? You have to re-provision the phone to unlock. Hard to copy links via phone but in the developer section there is a walk through on how to do that on a Samsung. It works with the diagnosis code to do it
Sent from my HTC Surround, filled with Mango deliciousness.
Here is that link to how do re-unlock it with a samsung.

[Q] Putting files on Mango RTM

Hey Guys,
I have a little Question, I updated to MANGO beta and I wanna Try to install a Game. But the .Xap is Larger than 200 MB in Size, under NoDo I have put the largest file out of the .Xap and put them with Windows phone Manager into the Phone, but the TouchXperience don't Work on Mango.
Is there any way to copy files from my Computer to the Phone?
THX for Help
I think not. But there's an update for the Windows Phone Developer Tools (January 2011) which should fix it. Then you can deploy bigger apps.
In my example I will put the German.Map file, into the Navigon Folder.
Or can I place the map into an XAP and deploy them to the Phone?
Hello,
I have tried the Update and it is working thanks a lot..

[Q]WP7.5 File manager

Hello,
I've got a HTC 7 Trophy (also called Spark or T8686) with Windows Phone 7.5 (7720) and TouchXplorer doesn't work in this version.
I tried to use TouchXperience's File Manager and Windows Phone Device Manager (1.8.0.0 public beta) and it doesn't work well.
In WPDM, when I transfer a mp3 file it return me an error. With folder I can create them but can't delete them.
Anyone knows another File Manager/Explorer does work in my HTC? (I tried WP7 Root Tools but it only work with Samsungs mobiles).
Thank you

purchased apps can be turned in to XAPs IF you have interop unlock, they must be paid for and installed from the marketplace
if your trying install paid for apps that you do not own then this isn't he place for you

If you installed the xap from Marketplace in proper way (like it should be installed) - you already have it extracted on your phone (see \\Applications\Install\....). If the phone is unlocked - just copy needed folder to PC and that's it. DRM and other scary JAFAs have nothing to do about it.

[Q] I deleted xap deployer

I deleted xap deployer by accident and now I cant install xap files.
I'm running NWA 2.3 rom on this HTC Surround.
It is HSLP.
I've already unzipped the files and mailed it to myself and downloaded them but I don't know where the phone stores the files after they are downloaded.
I don't know what I'm doing.
How can I get this program back?
Thanks
[Delete this thread. In settings, system, xap files were not associated.]
