Good to buy from Negri Electronics? - HTC Sensation

Hi, planning on buying the juicy looking sensation xe from Negri electronics.
just wondering if anybody has had any experience from ordering from them.
positive and negative reviews would be good
thanks

They've got a 9.3/10 rating

Brandon over on Pocketnow, at least i've heard him say it on many unboxing/reviews, gets stuff from Negri all the time so I think it should be cool.

They are legit. Quick free shipping

has anybody ordered from them to the uk? how much did it cost you?
also if i did order a sensation xe from them, how would it differ if i was to buy from uk shop?
thank you

It should be the same but you can try clove or handtech if you are in the UK.

well from negri it works out to be 470 gbp (including delivery)
from handtech it works out around 492 gbp (including delivery)
and clove is 500 gbp
so if the one from negri will deffo work in uk, i wud prob buy from them....

WOW!! That is kind of a large difference. Negri is usually more expensive then clove from my experience.

Hi, this is my experience with them, I bought a NAM Legend and 1 day after they wouldnt replace it the microphone quit working, I called them up and they said they would send it in for repair.. I sent it back to them, long story short, after calling them every couple of weeks for close to 6 months, they finally sent me a back a different unit, this one had scratches and other things wrong with it.. I decided it was in my best interests at that point to take what I got and be happy with it, and to never buy from them again. my 2 cents....

hmmm well taking that into consideration, imma jus buy from handtech.co.uk, at least i wont have to worry about the charger not working in uk and stuff with cell reception....

Cheers.
Sent mine to http://www.apexlaptops.co.uk/xda.htm
had a problem with a black screen after rom update......
will supply you with a quote very quick.
Only sent today so can't tell if I'm gonna get it back
Sent mine from Holland to the UK since I wasn't able to find a someone to repare over here... No hints on this board either.
BuDDaH
Perfect. Emailed 'em for a quote.
As it turns out, I started a post with O2 sales yesterday, and I wasn't aware as I just found out tonight as I was doing homework on various phones(!), but theres two new variations of the JAM just about to come out - the XDA Atom and XDA Mini S. If the price is right, I'll probably end u going for one of those instead now, what with half price staff offers and whatnot.
Would be good to have this as a backup/something to sell on ebay if the repair price is right.

HTC Pouch Hell

So about 3 months ago I carelessly lost my stock neoprene pouch.
Since then I've raised 4 calls with HTC UK support via email and phone, and been promised a replacement each time. Has it arrived? Hell no!
Then I emailed HTC US to see if I could order from them (happy to pay cost and shipping to the UK) - no reply.
It really is a bit poor how hard it is to get hold of another one. I know 3rd party cases are available, but I loved the original. I did order a £3 replica from Hong Kong but it's rubbish.
I don't suppose anybody in the US would consider ordering me a couple and posting them to me in the UK - to be paid back via Paypal? I know US users have had success getting them free and paid.
Thanks.
I feel your pain, I thought I lost mine last night and my girlfriend thought I had lost my mind xD.
I've emailed HTC and will let you know when I hear back.
Take one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.at/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160428233754
They are not exactly the same but they really come very very close and it's great quality. I bought 4 of them and i have 2 original too.
Thanks Isbe and watercool.

Thanks. I believe they charge $7.95 and $7.95 shipping in US. I could give you $10 and I think you should be able to ship it for a similar amount or less (there's no major hurry).
PM me if that's OK.
/me opens his Nexus One box, checks pouch.......
/me wonders if this is the same thing everyone else seems excited about?
/me puts it back in the box...

Ecell Ebay Craziness

E-cell was selling the sensation last night for 419 pounds, the purchases rained down on them myself included...
This morning they have revised their price to 449, but still very cheap, its definitely still the cheapest around...
Just check Ebay and search for HTC Sensation, E-cell will be shown usually near the top

Well they are a reputable company with quite a massive feedback, and in the UK we are covered by distance selling regulations which gives us 14 days cooling off period and we can return within that time for a full refund or exchange.
I think 419 is definitely no money at all for the HTC Sensation
Are they an authorized Samsung retailer? If not, be careful with the warranty.

Its a HTC Phone mate, and all new phones are covered by law which states a 12 month warranty.
If they are a HTC Partner you will get 2 years...
Do you know when you'll get yours? I really wanna know if it's unbranded XD
they say 7-10 days but the sim-free version isn't supposed to be out till the end of june.

To be honest mate, for that price im not too worried 419 for the sensation is a steal I think
Even 449 is still a great price...
What i have seen of E-Cell is they get their stock the same time as others, so its just a matter of waiting.
Sounds like an advertisement thread to me. New guy + Ebay seller mentioned and praised.
If I find links to ebay in this thread, I'll lock it.

As it happens im not a new member, I was under the name of Jupiterdroid but erased my account as i have a massive year at university this year and would not be using my account as much.. You can even confirm that with Mick Channon.. So before you start throwing accusations around find out facts! I had well over 2000 posts with the JD account, i wanted it closed as i knew it would be inactive for long periods of time. So Mod get running to Mick and he will tell you the story..
I bought the Sensation for 419, dont you think that is worth writing about when the actual price is 500? Just trying to help the community when i can

Good buy mate
There isnt anywhere else cheaper thats a fact Even though they have now moved it to 450 its still the cheapest. I think they really undercooked it at 419, they had like 15 sales in 5 hours lol.
I know. I was shocked. Lol. I was actually In two minds about buying it now or a month or two down the line. Glad i got it now.
I got mine around midnight.
419....I paid that much for my dhd over a month after it was released.
I'll let you know how it goes once I get it. Now just hope these bootloaders will be unlocked. Then I can design my own theme and flash away

I would really advise you to be very careful when dealing with ecell.
Just google ecell ebay.
They have a very sketchy record with high value items like phones.
I bought a nexus one over a year ago. Had to file a paypal dispute after I found out that they lied about shipping the phone.

That does sound dodgy, but with over 600,000 phones sold and a good feedback in the high 90's im sure your one was a minor glitch in comparision.
In the UK we have distance selling regulations on our side, so if you dont like it, return it within 14 days and get a refund

Actually it is not 600 000 sold phones. It is 600 000 sold items with a vast majority being low-value items - this is how they boost their feedback.
The research I've done after I ordered my n1 from them indicates that this it was not a minor glitch and their tactics is based on waiting for the 40-day PayPal dispute window to expire. They come up with excuses as to why they haven't shipped yet or outright lie to you (as was in my case) claiming that the phone has been shipped.
Maybe they've changed their ways, I don't know. Just thought a heads up was in order.

your actually right, looking through the negative feedbacks im alarmed at the significant number of feedbacks regarding phones arriving a month late. im not sure now whether im going to go ahead with them. they did seem abit dodgy, only thing that was persuading me to buy was the 60,000 feedback

Best Place to Purchase a "Non Upgrade" TBolt?

Hello everyone! I am trying to purchase a new Tbolt for my GF. She is still on contract for her Droid X - where is the best place to go for a cheap but good TBolt? I fear eBay, although maybe I shouldn't? Other suggestions:?
eBay, Craigslist, on here, other forums, etc.
Just be sure to check the IMEI and make sure its not a bad one. And obviously you'll need a new SIM card.
Try swappa

Why do you fear eBay? There is nothing to be scared of, it's not the shady sketchy eBay of 10 years ago. There is protection for your purchase from eBay & PayPal, no need to fear. Look on eBay, try to find an auction for a TB that ends late in the night. Most times, the later at night/earlier in the morning it ends, the cheaper the product usually goes for.
I got mine on ebay and the guy lived right by me, turns out he was a verizon store manager and had all the accessories, new sim card etc. Got the tbolt, windshield mount, 2 cases, extended battery and more for like $400, picked it up next morning!

I've sold two phones on swappa now, and I would recommend it. It's super easy, and they check the MEID when the seller posts the phone so you know it's clean.

Ebay is fine for the buyer always. It's when your selling that its a hassle. Non paying buyers and huge waiting periods before you get a credit. Lots of wasted time selling on ebay. Buying is painless thanks to PayPal.

[Q] Swap Xperia Play for Sensation?

not sure if i can post this here or at all?
Anyways i have a Xperia play love the phone but am not so much a gamer, phones in topnotch condition silver buttons on front have rubbed off a little but that's the only thing wrong with it no scratches on screen at all, i have a dock aswell
looking for a straight swap>?
i live in northwest England.
let me know if you wont more info?
cheers.
Sell it on eBay and buy a Sensation with the money - I did pretty much the exact same thing. I doubt you'll get anyone willing to do a straight swap since the Sensation is a much more powerful phone.
I sold my Play for £155 and got the Sensation for £160. You just need to keep an eye on a few auctions and you'll find one going cheap.
If you really want to swap you should try Gumtree.
i should but eBay is such a hassle and they charge ha ha, ill look in to it thanks mate
Don't think anyone would do it. Sensation is more expensive.
Btw, should be posted in the marketplace
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1321
i'm a reasonable person i can negotiate lol
Yea nobody will swap as has been said, gumtree is the best bet for avoiding ebay charges or a marketplace like on here
I paid 599. For my sensation in the US , California. No way would I swap! Sorry friend but ebay is likely the best place to sell. Then you can buy a sensation. Btw. You will LOVE the sensation! Very powerful phone, so many options! Great to customize! Lots of fun! Good choice, but trade, NO WAY!
