GT-I9003_Opensource_Update1.zip can't be XXKPH because there's still the SOD-Problem.. could be KP9 or between KP9 and KPE..
I hope the new sources are without SOD ...

The date of update1.zip is june, but xxkph is August.

At least jpkp5 source is more up to date and maybe more stable. Skin maybe have some ways to convert it to be capable for xxkph.

Guys, give jpkp5 a chance... Even whe people find xxkph bug ridden, y dnt devs try hw better jpkp5 is?? i mean, why does nobody do a comparison betwee xxkph and jpkp5... Devs, Just try it out.. I feel its a lot more "solid" than xxkph..but this opinion comes from a noobish point of view.. hope release of d source code mite change things...

go to opensource.samsung.com and click right of the link for downloading GT-I9003_MEA_Opensource.zip ... there you can see the notice.html and in the url of the brwoser you can see that its JPKP5
kernel is ok... it works but i'm testing... i will upload the oc version (1.1 Ghz) on the CF-ROOT Thread so also you can test it....

@Skin: Its the same version as earlier, there is no difference in this release. Sammy sucks.
P.S. Just did a folder diff to found out what changed, nothing there.

I installed the root and see KP5 with the cranium and no worries ... everything works ..
Sadly with skin's release from the scene , there is no CWM support for this.
I just need to know one thing...

Maybe if you send normalboot.img, Skin can still release proper cwm. Does he need i9003 for cwm?

He can of course. He is the one who supported almost all fw here with fully working CWM.

I can't install market or gmail because the phone can't create an account.
How to fix this .. ?
The touch-interface works flawless b.t.w. .. The best I've seen till now.

This is MIUI ROM, after the donation fuss got the device and he has worked hard, coz in very less time he has done the development and we all are about to enjoy the MIUI in our device..

Well no. Since it contains a framework-res.apk which would instantly give you a bootloop if you don't have the same device model.
It would only take little work to "port" it though, ask someone to do it for you in your forum, I'm sure they'd be glad to.
