I have a galaxy fit which I just rooted and nothing more. No roms and stuff. Now i want to remove the stock applications and I tried it on titanium app. It does something, restarts and that app is still there. I don't want to freeze the app. I want to completely remove it so that I can have some more space in my internal memory.

-Samsung Launcher -- Removed
-Samsung Apps -- Removed
Hope this helps

Once you have rooted your phone , install the program Root Explorer.
Select Read Write Permissions
Go to system -> Apps and mark the ones you want to get rid off.
There can be nothing simpler than this.
File attached for your reference
But will it completely deleted them giving be space in my phone memory??

Use the sd maid app from the market. This app freed up 40 MB from the internal storage without deleting any app.
You can also force app2sd to save space.
Delete system apps only when you're extremely desperate and the above methods fail..i think there is a rom for us which will restore all the factory apps, just in case you want to go back..

Stock application removing
YOU MUST BE ROOTED FOR REMOVING STOCK APPLICATION.
I THINK" RootAppDelete" ( AVAILABLE IN MARKET ) IS THE BEST.
BECAUSE WE CAN MOVE THE APPLICATION INTO RECYCLE AND WE CAN RECOVER IT FROM RECYCLE WHENEVER WE NEED IT BACK.
IF WE PERMANENTLY DELETE THE APPLICATION AND IN CASE WE NEED THE APPLICATION BACK WE HAVE TO FLASH THE ROM AGAIN.
You can even try "system app remover"....I don't think its available on the market but you can just google it...it removes and moves system as well as apps on sd card....hope I helped

You can use root explorer app to remove stock rom app and don't forget to wipe the cache from the recovery menu, just wipe cache not wipe data...

Big problem I just discovered with Titanium Backup that everyone should be aware of... We all know not to backup/restore system settings between Roms...
Well now TB has rolled out a new feature that let's you move the DEX information into the system folder to save space on your data partition. Sounds good, right?
However, if you do so, make sure you don't plan on ever flashing a theme, no-wipe update or any other kind of mod to your phone.
See, with those odex files now in the system partition instead of the dalvik cache, flashable updates that used to wipe the dalvik cache to prevent force closes now can't. Even doing a factory reset won't solve it, because factory reset doesn't wipe /system. You've effectively re-odexed your ROM, preventing ANY changes.
If you've already used this feature, you'll need to either flash a full-wipe ROM to remove the odex files (factory reset isn't enough), or go in and manually delete them through adb shell. If you don't, any time you flash a theme or update to your ROM that doesn't do a full wipe, you'll have force closes.
Good post. (I always avoid odexed roms) . I've used TB for 18mo., and still dont know what 70% of the features do lol. Like market doctor. What is that?

Doesn't that attach your apps to the marketplace, in case you downloaded a file that was not on the market? Im not exactly sure, but that is what my guess would be.

Well if you wipe system, you would have to re-flash because you would have no system.... which is essentially the same as re-flashing a full-wipe Rom...
The point is it breaks modding system files through normal methods (just push/flash without wiping)...
oic lol i fail'd

I installed this, but Rom Manager wasn't on the list of system apps
Titanium Backup Remove / Backup / Re-install
Hi there! Be aware that if you remove apps you won't be able to update via OTA unless you install them again. If you wish to stay stock, it may be better to just freeze those apps so they won't appear any longer. It's easy and you don't have to worry about the backup files
If space is an issue, install superuser and use Link2SD or any other methods to extend your internal space to the SD card.
Good luck
When I wipe my phone to flash a new rom, It takes a while to download all my apps again.
How can I get them back quicker/easier?.
Thanks
Most people use Titanium Back up. It's fairly painless

So backup apps + data? Apps only?
Thanks man
Ps. When I click on backup all user apps, apparently I only have 3 apps? I clearly have a ton more than that. What gives?
I use Titanium to restore data on a few important apps like games and such, but I always download my apps fresh from the market every time. I use an app called App List Backup to keep track of what apps I had installed.

Which system/google apps are safe to remove? Cant find the thread were they were listed that were safe to remove

Actually it's a matter of personal choice, first you have to figure out what you need and what you don't. but you have gain root first before doing this. you can use titanium backup or if you're on Gingerbread you can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385187 to remove some, if not most of un essential apps that are pre installed,
but you have to be careful of doing this. i think it works only on gingerbread..
I am rooted, running aokp, not sure what system apps i dont need, as everytime i delete system apps after a reboot it starts coming up with a gaps error, and reflashing gaps last time didnt fix the issue
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
will for me i don't really delete it after flashing gaps instead i just freeze it with titanium backup so that i can use it again when i need it..
try to wipe cache/fix permission..
And safe to remove varies based on the ROM you're using, which applications it has built in, which applications you've installed since, which features you want to use...
If you get errors or crashing, that means you removed too much for your unique phone's build. Check your logcats to see which program it's asking for. E/ Means error... search for those.
hey people this is a frequent problem while installing apps even you have lots of free space.

Go to your phone settings, and perform a factory reset that will do.

Use any Explorer( Solid Explorer recommended), go to /data search for that app(say facebook) related files and delete all files you find. Main file that is needed to be deleted is .odex file of that app.
for instance if whatsapp in not getting installed, then files like com.whatsapp.odex , com.whatsapp.apk and all other files related to whatsapp are needed to be deleted.
Install the app again then. It should get installed
If this doesnt solves the problem then you need to do factory reset.

I can confirm this after I've had this problem on both SGS2 and SGS4. The path is root/data/app, though, where you will find the .odex file of your and possibly other apps as the last entries.
