I have downloaded the "GiftofLegion" files and have the latest RSD LITE installed - RSD recognizes my XOOM (the Verizon XOOM) just fine but I need to know the steps to flash the factory SBF on to it so that I may receive updates, etc.
Can someone assist me in flashing this thing?

I've just received a used VZW Razr HD (Maxx) on trade. It's rooted with unlocked bootloader on 4.04 (don't have the build number handy). It is not a developer version of the phone.
I understand I will lose root, but I wish to restore it to factory stock 4.1.2. While I'm not new to Android (also have a GS3 and a Droid Inc.), I am new to Motorola phones.
What's the procedure for flashing this thing to stock, locked bootloader and all? Have a source for the stock ROM? Any help is appreciated.
Matt's util in original android development should work for most common devices. Make sure your phone is the right variant and flash the stock ICS and receive the otas. Or you could use like rsdlite (which is available on the forums) and flash the stock 4.1.2 firmware on. Look for some of the devs other posts to figure it out. (The firmware is also on the forums).
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using xda app-developers app
Thanks. Does flashing the stock 4.1.2 firmware also restore stock Verizon apps ("bloatware") and any changes made to the bootloader? I presume I can flash this despite changes made to stock apps (missing .apk's, frozen apps, etc.)?
How about returning to stock recovery? What's the procedure there? Can I find the necessary .zip file and flash with Matt's utility?
Hi,
I've installed an ATT 4.0.4 firmware from sbf.android.org in a China Cellphone. It's work, but I'm not able to install any other ROM as CyanogenMod, 4.1.2 official leak, etc...
I've tried flash some custom roms and sbf rom in RSD Lite, but for both return the message: "Failed flashing process 6/21 flash "cdt.bin" phone returned fail ...".
I looked for for CDT.BIN and I don't conclude WTF that file is , or how to fix that.
Someone knows somethings about it?

You did a mistake flashing AT&T FXZ to non-AT&T phone. It has increased your cdt number, which can't be lowered now. Hence, you are stuck with AT&T ICS ROM. Though, you can root your phone, install BootMenu Manager from Play Store and then install CyanogenMod or any KEXEC based ROMs.
I flashed ATT firmware to my ME865, it worked fine for me. The official ROM for my ME kept failing with RSDlite.
OK so i have an mz609 that i tried to gsm unlock and i have deleted some files or something that i shouldnt have and now i am having issues and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get the stock 4.1.2 firmware from to flash with rsd lite
I am on an unlocked rooted xt 1080m. I was recented having issues with phone and restored to an old backup image using twrp. Unfortunately, this was 4.4 ( I had been on 4.4.4). I can't get the OTA to work even after flashing stock recovery. I have downloaded the fxz file. My question is -- Can I just flash the system.img using mfastboot or do I have to use the house of moto method? I am not a complete idiot but I get confused with some of the house of moto's steps. Sorry to be a bother

You can use RSD Lite (which will erase everything and leave you 100% factory stock), or the house of Moto Methods.
You can NOT flash just system.img. You need the boot.img, as well.
Might be able to fastboot flash JUST system and boot....if it were me, I'd RSD Lite back to full stock.
Hi guys,
I have a rooted xt925, and I'm having some problems to take the update. I've read that rooted phones can't update OTA, so I have removed the root, but I still can't update the phone. I've tried to do it via motorola device manager too, but it says that there's no updates to my phone. I've already searched how to solve this, but I'm very noob
Any suggestions?
Thanks
easiest way is to do a factory reset, keep in mind that will erase all your data then try update . You can also flash the OTA but that involves few more steps. Check

Because you rooted, that modified the system partition. Removing root might work, but your best bet is to flash an SBF if one exists for the XT925. I don't have an XT925 (I have an XT926), so I have no idea if SBFs exist for XT925.
And before you ask, no. You cannot use and XT926 SBF to flash back to stock.
Oh, I did factory reset two or three times, and ota update continues to fail.
I will try to search more about SBF. And it's possible to flash a kitkat rom without have a kitkat bootloader?
For xt925,you flash European cee 4.1.2 jb, then take the update or flash it itself.
