Titanium Backup & Restoring your Applcations
Guys, not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but this is VERY IMPORTANT if you use Titanium Backup to restore you applications and you are coming from any ROM and going to MIUI:
ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER EVER
choose option that states:
RUN Restore missing apps + all system data
in Titanium Backup when coming to MIUI from another ROM or another MIUI version.
When using Titanium Backup to restore your applications you should ONLY choose:
RUN Restore all apps with data
or
RUN Restore missing apps with data
NOTHING ELSE should be selected or you will run into all sorts of problems and will have to start all over again.

If you go the themes app and hit customize, you can pick and choose parts of themes.
The lockscreen from this, the icons from that, the status bar from this, etc. etc.

I see MIUI as a hybrid of sorts. It takes a lot of cues from iOS (Forced square icons on the stock theme, having every single app on your home screens as opposed to an app drawer, a few visual cues). However, there is A LOT more customization here. You can download themes for every single part of the UI; anything from the lock screen to the notification bar, to the fonts. Everything can be changed to your liking.
Also some of the stock apps are incredible. The messaging app allows you to respond to a text message without actually going into the application. The music player plays folders natively; this has replaced PowerAmp for me. The 5 way lock screen can launch text, browser, camera, or phone straight out of the lock screen. The launcher's widget and home screen manager is really nice to use.
Keep in mind that iOS lacks pretty much all of the above.

All MIUI themes will work.
Just like CM, you have all sorts of people on all sorts of phones that can come together and make one big collection of themes and such for a wide variety of devices.
It's nice, considering the normal ultra-fragmented Android world.

[Q] Lost SIM card contacts after flashing MIUI
Hello,
I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, but either because of my innate laziness or the fact that I'm completely new to this forum, I'll ask here and go forth if need be.
I flashed MIUI to my Infuse, and it's beautiful. The ONLY (and I mean ONLY) issue I've had is that my contacts are gone and I have no access to the SIM card to retrieve them. I have full access to my SIM card, know my PUC code and all that, but am still unable to get it working properly. Any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.
Please be gentle. I have a pretty good grasp on how all this works from what I've done with my Captivate, but MIUI is a new venture for me and any assistance would be great.

ALL MIUI .mtz files WILL work on ANY all ALL MIUI ROM devices.
That being said, if you find an older theme that you want to use, you can use it BUT (2) things:
1) a message will come up stating that the file is in OLD FORMAT, would you like to Update to new format? hit OK and it will automatically update the file so you can use it.
2) MIUI is updated WEEKLY by the MIUI peeple sorta like CM7 is update nightly except there are BIGGER updates / More updates. Because of this you will notice that theme devs also update their themes weekly. If you find a theme that hasnt been updated in a while, its ok, it wont break your phone, somethings just might not theme
Let me kno if you have any other questions !
Just a tip for those starting out in MIUI, you will not have su/root access for programs until you go into Tools > Superuser > [Menu Button] > Setting > [Flip ROOT permission slider to ON]. Then reboot your phone.

ApeX V1.0.2.5 for Droid 2 - 2 parts AOSP, 1 part Blur, all ApeX
*If you watch the video below, please just skip to 1:00, and ignore my blabbering about requiring a leaked kernel. That is no longer true for the DX, and was never true for the D2. Thanks!*
Changes in V1.0.2.x
-Based on the D2 2.3.20 build, deodexed, optipng'd, zipaligned
-All 2.2.1 apps from DX 2.3.320 leak with the exception of dialer and contacts
-Overclocking script is back (disabled by default)
-Ditched Launcher2 in favor of ADW.Launcher
-Fixed a few framework graphic bugs (ty Team DeFuse!)
-Additional sysctl.conf mods (ty nenolod & drod!)
-Added fly in pop-up animations and flipping transitions (ty johnclevenger @ XDA!)
-A few new scripts to choose between AOSP and Blur apps
-Ad Blocking toggle (enabled by default)
-Stability, reliability, enjoyability
Credits to P3Droid, TBH, Team DeFuse, Xeudoxus, Beesley, Cyanogen, Pete, and many more. Without all the contributions of the devs to the Android community, this would not be possible. Thanks!
Features:
-Optimized & Zipaligned framework and applications
-Market Fix (all apps will show up)
-Build.prop and sysctl.conf mods (ty Beesley, nenolod, drod!)
-Vanilla Android Theme w/ 10% battery percentages in bar
-Transparent Notification Shade
-ADW.Launcher with up to 7 homescreens (5 by default)

Comes with 4 profiles by default, you can also load your own setscaling.sh from your sdcard.
Installation Instructions: Please have a nandroid of your current setup in case this is not for you
-Place file on sdcard. Install ROM from sdcard in ROM manager. Wipe data and cache.
OR
-Place file on your sdcard. Bootstrap recovery and reboot recovery
-Navigate to mounts and storage. FORMAT data, and cache
-Return to previous menu and install .zip from sd card
-Choose ApeX and install!
QUIRKS
-The Blur Email app (default email app) will FC if you do not have an account added through My Accounts. Just add an account first.
-If you're using another launcher besides ADW, do not use the 'Search' widget. That's for ADW only. It'll get stuck at the top of your screen if you use it on LauncherPro. Use the 'Google Search' widget instead.
-Swype is not preinstalled, but this ROM installs a folder called 'ApeX' on your sdcard, where there will be a working version of Swype for you to install, if you so choose

Got a quick question. In your DX video preview, you said that the firmware for the DX needs to be 2.3.320 and the new Froyo build 2.2.1. Is this also the case for the Droid 2, or are we good to go on the OTA 2.3.20?

This looks pretty darn sweet. Any known bugs or issues with the rom? How is the overclocking? Know it's relatively useless but any word on how quadrant scores compare?
I may give this a try once the themes are over too, me likes it.

Using the oc app from the market, running at 1.45, I ran a quad of 1774 and my linpack was 19.894. Pretty solid numbers. As far as I can tell all the bugs have been worked out. FM radio even works
* Im not sure why, but I seem to be getting worse service with this rom. My girls stock D2 has 3 bars in our house, and mine use to Now, and since I flashed it, Im getting 0-1 bar in m house.
What "minimalistic" themes are you guys referring to? There are themes available in the 2nd post.

Is this a AOSP rom like Epic Unleashed?
Does it have some of the cool settings like in Epic Unleashed?
Will this ROM work with Droid 2 2.3.20 update?
(Kind of a dumb question

Try dialing *22899. It relocates your phone and syncs them to the nearest towers. Kinda just updates your signal to the network. Sometimes when flashing a new rom I lose signal or i don't get 3g right away, then I do that and it works fine.

First and foremost, a huge thanks to the guys at Samfirmware for making this possible!
This rom incorporates the work of many AndroidCentral and XDA users.
Huge thanks to the development community.
This is Open Source!
Want to make or edit your own personal rom?
Take a look at my personal kitchen!
Known Issues:- If your sdcard does not have a folder called "clockworkmod", you must create it prior to installation. It should exist if you've ever made a Nandroid backup.
- 4G Toggle button exists in scroll-able toggle mod.
- 4G Toggle button is missing from the 9-lock mod, to enable 4g, have to go into Settings>Wireless and Network>4G Settings>4G (turn on 4g) or get a widget from the market
You've got questions, here's some answers!
Can't figure out how to make the battery percentage appear in 9-lock?
It's under Settings > Lockscreen Settings > Statusbar Settings
Want the battery icon, and not just the percentage?
Same deal as before, except you have to hide battery icon, and then un-hide it. Wait a moment.
I really miss my old transparent messaging app, can I have that back?
You can now! I've just released a few variations of transparent Gingerbread messaging!
How do I use my own ringtone, alarm, and notification mp3s?
Create a folder on your SD card called "media".
Inside of that create "audio".
Inside of that create:
"ringtones" for ringtones.
"alarms" for alarms.
"notifications" for notifications.
Ah, Swype.

Unfortunately, since the Froyo version that initially came on our phone, we've been employing the latest and greatest versions with better features. But all of them have still been betas, and apparently this particular one expired today. I do not know if, or how to modify it to avoid expiration. Nor do I currently know where to pickup the next available version. Instead, I recommend doing what I have just finished doing. Install the swype beta installer.
Here's how:
1. First, using a file explorer delete the following files:
- /system/app/Swype.apk
- /system/lib/libswypecorexxxxx.so [the x's stand in for the exact number]
2. Next, head here to download the installer.
3. The rest is pretty self explanatory.
You do have to sign up to be a tester if you're not already, I have been for some times. I assure you, it's a harmless process and won't flood your email account.
I wish I could make this easier, but for some time now, Swype has only been releasing beta versions and they will all expire at some point. If anyone has a newer working Swype I can use in the next version, I'll look into it.
As a bonus, if you follow my instructions, then your Swype personal dictionary will carry into the new Swype beta!
How Do I Use This ROM?
Regularly updated installation information available on the download page.
Random you mentioned in the other thread that Gtalk video works and it does but is that without being able to switch to front facing camera?
EDIT: I know I was supposed to thank you for this rom I assumed you knew I have been on EC05 Hawk. Also was I supposed to say "first"
Looks great RandomKing..
My time on the Epic 4g has passed but my wife still has hers and this is definitely a ROM I will be considering and trying out on her device since she's waiting for me to update her to GB and get off EC05...

I'm loving the ROM so far. I've already flashed a few others just to try out and Thunderhawk has been the winner for me so far. I do have a question though: is anyone else having any issues with wifi randomly turning off and on? I made sure that in the settings it is set to never turn off.

This... Not tryina nic-pic but that standard GB batter indicator just isn't cutting it.. I guess my question would be if there is a theme in the theme section of the forums that would work with this rom. I know we are waiting on the lockscreen mod from maddoggin but is there something I can use temporarily?
Also, Randomking, I saw in the other thread that you said it was the TH2.0 Rom that had the sexy black keyboard... How would I go about pulling the keyboard from 2.0 and installing it in 3.0.5? Yes... I'm a newb at all this stuff but thanks to you all, i'm learning quite quickly!

I'm not fully acquainted with framework-res modifying, so I generally wait until I find a suiting one and then modify it in-line with my own requirements. So... soon.
As far as the keyboard, open the .zip file, and under /System/App you'll find Swype.apk. Just drag it into the matching spot of the other .zip. I recommend using 7zip.

Does this have the aio hack for ei22?
Does this have any theme elements like battery mod?

It has the AIO Hotspot, Volume, CRT, and Overscroll Glow features, but no Lockscreen mod yet.
When I can put in everything I require, I will remove the WIP tag from the title and fully modify the OP, until then, the screenshots are slightly inaccurate. Working on it. Version 3.1 will be the first full version.
been running this rom for a few hours now with no problem. My 3g speeds are faster on this rom for some reason (im on cricket not sprint). thanks for all your hard work.

Ok... So dont mess with the theming just yet... gotcha...
Now with the keyboard. I located the TH2.0 zip on my harddrive... Opened it, found the Swype.apk and moved it to my desktop...
Is there a way for me to copy the Swype apk to my SD card and push it in using ES File Explorer or will I have to actually drag and drop it into the TH3.0.5 Zip and then reflash?
**edit**
Just tried to push it using EX File Explorer and got mad force closes when I disabled Go KB and enabled Swype... Dragged and dropped Swype apk into the system/app folder of TH3.0.2 and i'm about to reflash... *crosses fingers*
**edit**
Still no go... Flashed using Clockwork and upon the first boot I got a Swype FC. I guess i'll stick with Go Keyboard for now...
I had to use root explorer es wouldnt work for some reason. just copy the file to root system/app
you might try going into settings, applications, manage, all, swype ... clear data.
So it isn't trying to use data saved by the other apk.
what is the best way way to flash this, I currently using ThunderHawk 2.3.4
thanks

I ended up using Root Explorer because when I tried to paste it in using ES, it would paste but Swype wouldn't show up in my list of keyboards.
Can you confirm that the keyboard from TH2.0 is the sexy black one? Is that the one you moved over?

I didn't even think of that, but I also dropped the Swype apk from the 2.0 rom into the system/apps folder of 3.0.5 and then just reflashed the rom and still got FC's as soon as the phone booted up.
I llooved this rom on EC05.
i can't wait for updates :]
i'm getting alright battery life so far. 75% 6h 12m. can't wait to see what you do with it :]

I have used all of the ROM's available for the Atrix 2, here's my review on each
RebelROM
This was the first ROM I tried out so it's the bar, so to speak, for all A2 roms. First installed it when beta 2 was the current version...lovely ROM! I loved how fast and smooth it was, the minimal theming was perfect and it was very easy to install (CWM flash). I didn't care for the stock dialer and the MiFiles app UI was a nice change but it only supports pics/video/music, can't use it like a full fledged file explorer so it was a waste of space to me. It's an incredibly pared down ROM with smooth operation and subtle theming mods. I did encounter issues with Calendar sync (wouldn't sync) and the GPS didn't work either. Calendar sync was resolved by doing a factory reset..GPS was resolved by removing CWM on boot, which also removed the OC. Reflashing the rom after this (without wiping data) restored the OC and preserved GPS, although it was incredibly inaccurate....as in off by 2+ blocks. Also, turn by turn navigation didn't work....it would give me the directions but the actual turn by turn never kicked it, always said "finding gps". Was never able to work that out.
All in all, great ROM! Beta 3 added some nice theming and some more stuff under the hood but it too is incomplete. Was able to fix the major issue with Beta 3 by flashing one of JWM 28's 1% battery mods.
SCv5
This ROM I think is the fastest and smoothest of them all but my big issue with this one is some of the apps are carryovers from the Atrix 4g, like the text messaging and Blur setup one's. That being said, when I restored by apps and app data I lost out on all my text/sms messg's since the app used in this rom is not the same one used in RebelROM. This was a deal breaker as I despised the look and feel of the Atrix 4g software. If that wasn't enough, the settings menu interface also had the look of the Atrix 4g. I just could not get used to this new look and these apps. Speaking of apps, the Market app is the old one, and wouldn't update for me like it should. I ended up installing the new apk myself, minor inconvenience. And Google maps wasn't included. I did like the animations and UI aside from the portions of it described above, but it just wasn't for me.
AtrixBlaze
This one didn't last long on my phone. I first flashed v2, immediately got rid of it. The font was hard to read (too small, type of font didn't help either). The minimalistic text launcher icons weren't my cup of tea, the theme was over the top and the boot animation was low quality. No reboot option in the power menu. But everything else worked and in speed and smoothness there's no complaint. Ended up giving v3 a shot for the past 4 days or so, wanted to give this version a fair shake as the issues described above for the most part can be customized. This version the dev stepped up his game and came out with what looks like a complete graphical overhaul complete with beautiful ICS animations. The font was much better....but the theming was just way too much for my taste. The icons for the drop down toggles were kind of hard to see/figure out what they were for mainly due to their small size. The notification bar icons were cool, but some were just too small...like the usb one. Nice icons but due to the tiny size up there it just wasn't a good fit, IMO. And unless you stick with a neon blue theme, the bar will stick out like a sore thumb. It's got 2 dialers, one regular one modded like crazy and one in-call dialer....I much prefer the in-call dialer. On the regular dialer if you have big fingers like me you could be a little unsure if you pressed the right number since the whole button doesn't light up, the horizontal dividers and light up animations just didn't sit well with me either. The settings menu icons were nice but just added to the graphical overkill. No problems functionally with this ROM but the over the top theme is just too much.
VictoryROM
A minimalists' dream! Simple and to the point with some very classy mods that fit perfectly. Going into settings and clicking any subsection, the UI looks perfectly stock aside from the tastefully small, ICS blue boxes next to the optional selections...when selected, a tastefully small, ICS blue checkmark populates said box. Very nice! The dialer looks stock, and is for the most part...the mod he did to it doesn't jump out and slap you in the face, it's very subtle and clean looking. The in-call screen is similarly modded. My only qualms about this ROM is that it doesn't have the 1% battery mod nor a reboot option in the power menu...but the icons and text in said menu are clean and crisp. No OC, although that's a good thing as far as battery life is concerned. And the battery icon has no numerical charge indicator. Other than that, an absolutely perfect, classy, tastefully done ROM that works fully right out the box. The theming that has been done to it is not only minimal but complete and consistent throughout the ROM. I'm not sure if JWM 28's 1% battery mods will work on this ROM but i'm going to find out shortly Definitely some room for improvement under the hood, would love to see an optional OC version with the ICS animations and the 1% battery mod as well as reboot in the power menu but other than these small things this ROM absolute perfection!
Disclaimer:
The opinions stated above are those of mine and mine alone, are not intended to be rude, disrespectful or otherwise negative towards the developers of said ROM's. I appreciate the hard work they have put forth on these things and that they allow us to use their creations free of charge, I am simply giving my personal opinion of their ROM's since I have tried them all with the goal of providing an objective review for those who haven't.
Nice re-cap / review of our ROMs. I pretty much agree with your views. Only thing I would change is the note on install method for RebelRom. Its an install zip through bootstrap/CWM recovery. Not a "restore" file.
I'd like to see the options you mention in Victory ROM too. Especially the reboot in power menu option.

Really though, just wanted to spark some conversation, give a little insight to people who may be leaning one way or the other.
Good reviews, 916, thanks for putting that together..
This is not really a review, but kind of a tangent to the subject.. and I thought this would be a good place for it.
Ok. I've been mussing around with themes and whatnot, and I guess it turns out i'm like a rom scavenger or something..
I was running the Atrix Blaze rom for a while (great rom also), and actually i've tried all available roms/psuedo-roms and there were always a few things that I liked/disliked about each.. sooo, I researched a bit and learned a lot about what's where in terms of the system workings for the A2 (and androids in general), and started to change things myself..
That being said, I am currently on a modded version of VictoryROM (i performed a bunch of these mods to Atrix Blaze first, but decided to wipe data (3x) and go with the minimalistic V-rom and start over)...
I changed the fonts, dropdown items, status bar items, lockscreen, dockbar (hotseat), check/toggle buttons, etc.---> (For fun, see if you can spot where I got everything from! Big props and credit goes to those from which I borrowed!! ) I also tweaked out the build.prop and installed milestone overclock (still at stock 1000, but will probably go up to 1100), so I can fine tune the speed.
Not through tweaking and experimenting yet, but so far I'm calling it the altROM (not really - i'm not a rom baker, so it's kind of a joke..)

You post could have been written by me. I'm in the same boat so-to-speak. I have to ask. What's in the SystemUI.apk? I'm wanting to make my settings menus (all) black backgrounds.

The SystemUI.apk has the quickpanel (dropdown) stuff, and the status bar icons, etc.
Not sure yet about all the settings menus yet, i'll get back to you on that. But i'm pretty sure that they are .9.png files, so it's best not to try and edit unless you are familiar with the process. You can usually just swap - copy over - the exixting .9.png files from different roms with no problem. I'll look into it more and let you know (if you don't figure it out yourself first)
Cool. I just used the icon changer in ROM Toolbox to swap the battery icon. Notice the reboot icon/script I have on my screenshot. That came from RTbox as well. Kinda cheating. But I have changed out some .apks (not really all the difucult either using RTbox.
I have a Linux box so my methods will be a little different than most here using Windows apps. Thanks.

What files did u change for the wifi color I've also been wanting to change my 4g icon
Sent from my MB865 using xda premium
Thanks for your review !
IMO, difference between these ROMs is themes, no more.
Speed, smooth ... are same; bugs, lag and something that locked by Moto are same of course!
Simple reason : all of them based on stock 2.3.5/2.3.6 of Moto for Edison.
Things that I hate on based stock Rom for Atrix 2, have not been fixed yet in all available "cook" Rom now :
- Lock screen
- Light sensor problem
- Lag touching when use virtual keyboard (tried many keyboard apps)
- Freeze when slide to answer (same as Milestone 3 yrs ago)
- Hidden functions/options in Setting menu
- True mobile Hotspot (no needed for sign-in AT&T account)
- Free-call apps compatibility like Viber, Skype, Yahoo Messenger (video call)
- Better camera quality (color, saturation, exposure...)
...
So, change will come if :
- Motorola releases new Rom for A2 (or at least fix all bugs that I listed above)
- Bootloader unlocked for flashing AOSP or any full/ported Android ROM.
Because it's AT&T version so I'm sure Moto still locks things that they think it should be or AT&T want special Rom for them like this way.
Hope and wait now !

There are nine or so .png files in SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-hdpi called stat_sys_wifi_signal_(something)
I think the 4g icons are also in there.. under zz_moto_stat_sys_data_(something)
You can just swap out those .png files with the ones you want. PM me or search if you want a detailed explanation as to how..
@vinamilk
That's one way to look at it. Anothèr is despite motorola/at&t's efforts to keep the phone locked down, development is underway. The community is working it out. Its a testament to how good this handset really is and the potential here. Is the glass half empty or half full? ;-) in the end, our accomplishments will be all the sweeter for having to go the extra mile.

KEB64, if Google gives you full ROM (AOSP), it's more easier for you to re-build, "cook" or tweak yourself. But Rom that based on stock which locked/deleted functions for special request from Carrier agent is hard to tweak more.
I appreciate the effort of all Devs here but we have to admit a lot of limitation when cooking Rom from locked stock Rom.
Understood.

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a useful addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid (or Phablet) Mode, best of both worlds.

Omg lol awesome.
This ROM is amazing - impressive UI.
My quick tinkering with the Paranoid system settings came up with this:
Tablet Mode and Hybrid Mode both ticked.
Framework-res-DPI = custom 175. (Notification appropriate for our display.)
SystemUI DPI = Tablet. (Lock screen resize for our display.)
Again if we could please have an optional flashable for the 3.30 kernel (as it provides better battery then 3.36.)
This is a refreshing change from vanilla cm9.
2 Things I've noticed:
A) Gmail looks great, however trying to Open any email from the Inbox folder gives a 'Gmail has stopped' toast popup. Opening from All Mail folder works. Weird.
B) When phone is locked. If you press back or menu, the front face lights turn on but do not turn off.
We thank you XMC.

What's the reason for the A5 kernel, is something broken in A6? I'm assuming A5 means CM9 Alpha 5, or am I wrong?

I think you swapped your values for framework-res and systemUI. Also, the 175 DPI for system doesn't work if you use the onscreen nav buttons -145 works pretty well. Clock on lockscreen gets cut off in landscape mode when using "tablet" DPI. 150 looks pretty good for the framework setting here.
As an FYI - I was able to boot it using the CM9 A5 kernel because as I was using that already and I'm not S-off, but wifi was borked. Once I flashed in the kernel from this build wifi was working, but I'll have to get back to you as far as battery goes. I got a lot of problems with battery levels on the a5 kernel, especially when rebooting my battery level seemed to be random.
I didn't wipe when I flashed and came from CM9 a5. I noticed a couple of my apps were missing, and when I tried to install from market, I got an error stating "missing shared library". Is this because I didn't wipe? Can anyone confirm if you are able to install Bank of America from market?
The thing I've noticed most about this ROM aside from the awesome UI is BLAZING speed. Market and browser come up and load pages instantly - probably twice if not triple the speed of CM9 A5

Yeah I did mix those up, accident
I don't use the onscreen nav buttons option.
Funny though, cos further testing got me to 145dpi for system also, great minds think alike.
Bug:
I found that an input field does not appear/allow setting individual applications 'custom dpi'.

It looks like the gapps is missing something in this ROM - I looked up the error and saw that people had this problem on other ROMs from time to time. I flashed the latest gapps from CM and found that not only was it resolved, but the apps were already there and didn't need to be reinstalled.
Here are my current settings for the look, feel, and behavior that I like best. I am kanging XMC's "hints" section
- Download and flash latest gapps if you run into library errors on any of your apps
- Set the font size to "Normal"
- Go into the Apex settings > dock settings, hold your phone in landscape, change the button quantity to 5, then back to 3. (Buttons shouldn't be crammed together anymore).
- Check "Auto Hide" in Settings, System, Statusbar, to finally get Fullscreen (or Hold power button, and press "Toggle StatusBar"). You can turn auto-hide off afterward, if you want status bar to be always visible.
- Launcher Settings: margins: NONE (If youre using Apex / Nova), show permanent searchbar: YES, Grid: 4x4, resize all widgets: YES, Wallpaper scrolling: On or off, your pref
- Paranoid settings:
- Tablet Mode and Hybrid Mode checked
- System default DPI: tablet

I just could not get Apex launcher(and a bunch of user apps that don't seem to be optimized for tablet) to look good with the User UI set to tablet, and I'm never satisfied with the look of anything other than 4 x 4 as the icons and widgets go all wonky. As far as apps other than the launcher, It seems like it might be better to use the tablet UI for user apps to go through and see which ones look good and which don't at first, then set them up individually.
Edit: XMC, I'm convinced that you are either a robot, or you have multiple clones of yourself that all work on various dev projects. This ROM is absolutely the best thing I've seen for our device yet.
When I have everything set to tablet DPI values i cannot make phone calls it says force closed ... any suggestions?
LOVE THE ROM

Here are my current settings for the look, feel, and behavior that I like best. I am kanging XMC's "hints" section
I just could not get Apex launcher(and a bunch of user apps that don't seem to be optimized for tablet) to look good with the User UI set to tablet, and I'm never satisfied with the look of anything other than 4 x 4 as the icons and widgets go all wonky. Why is this ROM "taking CyanogenMod to the next level?
CyanogenMod does not want to include many customizations like they did in cm7
But why not? We want to customize our phones!
This ROM adds more options and cherries to CyanogenMod, cherry picked from the CM gerrit, Google gerrit, AOKP gerrit, SGT7, TeamEOS, TeamBAKED, Slim ROM, Root-Box, ChameleonOS, and ParanoidAndroid
Basically this is one big mixture of all the great ROMs out here!
Stock but still highly customizable the way we like it
Features:
KatKernel
Gcc 4.7 Linaro
AOKP Riboons
Built in Gestures
Side Bar from ChameleonOS
Dark Domination thanks to Slim
and More go ahead and get Dominated!!!

Settings Menu - When in settings if you go into a sub menu, instead of hitting the back button, swipe from the left of the screen to get your settings menu back.
More to come as people report things

lol sorry dude.
bug report.:
1. when you go to Asusec to change layout the screen comes up blank - you have to touch the blank area to show the list of language layout options.
2. the back/return key is working double time.....doesnt seem to like just going back one stage. ie - enter a sub menu in "settings" for example, hit return, it generally takes you back to the app drawer rather than the main settings list.
3. Backing out of Hybrid options take you to wifi settings
nothing of any real substance, but nit picking is always helpful for polishing
will report any more as i go.

Don't be sorry, you made me realize I should reserve a spot
1. I will look into the Asusec, i'm guessing that has to do with dock support and not having a dock, I may need to get some help with that one.
2. the back key is fine, in settings when you tap on something like wifi, the settings nav menu dissapears, to get back to it simply swipe from the left
3. It works like that on my phone as well, just a quirk of the ROM, if you swipe from the left, the settings nav menu will pop up.
sounds promising, I`ll try it tommorow
Some screenshots would be very interesting. Looking forward to see them...

So far so good with this bad boy....... almost 16hours on the dock battery (obviously not continuous use) but cant take a screen shot with the screen shot key on the dock as special keys only partly work (volume controls).
Havent found anything to report from my useage needs but what i will say is that it performs really well :good:
Good job its well worth flashing!

I was hoping goo.im would get back to me sooner, updated with dev-host links, enjoy :highfive:
Using this Rom for a day now. I though my poor tablet was starting to cash out with speed issues but this rom gave me new hope. Works great and runs fine. The main issue I see is when using the tabletui the original status bar area has no tap (click?) Passing through. I'm using nova launcher and I have a hard time hitting the menu and app drawer buttons.
Sent from my Transformer using xda premium.
GOD! Please bring the default settings app view, this thing with the sliding has no sense.
And I could not enablet the pie (but I`m stuped so may be that explains alot ).
Another thing is that in all tablet UI mods the navigation bar and the notifications are combined in one row, and like to use my tablet as shown in the screenshot, so it isn`t possible to do it in that stage.
But the rom it self is smooth, fast and ofers much custamization!!! But somehow it is bizzare with it`s strange settings app. I didn`t like the changes in the app store in the offerd gapps link, but I believe it is easy to change by every average user.
Wow! This Rom is pretty awesome. Bootanimation rocks and all customizacion you did is really good. Only just issues, one of them really annoying.
1.- Launcher, whatever it be (Apex, Default launcher) are not smooth at all. They are really laggy when I swipe between diferent screens and sometimes when I swipe down notiifcacion bar. Is the same than happen in Paranoid Unofficial Rom TF101, but not in Team EOS 4
2.- Tapbar (I dont remember know the exactly name of this option, just on the right side of Ribbons) just allow me to put it on the left side, even thoug I select right. I really appreciate this option because we can Install different apps that seems like this, but they are not integrated on the system, so usually make the launcher even slower.
Apps such as Google Plus or Youtube dont seem smooth, at least like in Team EOS. I dont know how to solve this lag, but I appreciate your work trying to make our Transformer a little bit better.
Thanks man!

Mostly what I did was make this ROM work with our device, most of the changes were made by others. I personally love the way the settings work now that I'm used to it.
To enable pie on the right side, make sure you have the right ribbon turned off or it may interfere with the pie, go to the power menu in settings and set expanded desktop to visible, set up pie how you want, press the power button until the reboot menu comes up and enable pie.
You can use other gaaps, but this one toggles to the darker theme.

Did you do a factory reset before running this? Might be some of your lag issues, pretty smoothe for me...
Instead of appbar, I use the ribbons, if you look at the top of the ribbons menu you should be able to select different ones, it defaults to the lock screen ribbon, so tap on that, select the right ribbon and turn it on, the appbar is still being worked on a bit by somebody and should probably be removed.

Yep I did a factory reset before flashing your Rom, still with lag, same lag that in Paranoid Rom.

Interesting. I will play with it and see if I can replicate it. I only use the built in launcher though, so it could have to do with outside launchers.
