currently running prime 1.9.1 with clemsyms kernel.... i get netflix to run but when its loading a movie/show it says "your device needs to be updated to instantly stream from netflix"
is there something im missing?
what version of netflix are you using? if its bellow like 1.3 or so it wont work and if your in a country other than the us you need to set up a proxy
also this should have gone in q&a not themes and apps

That is a weird one. I'm using Prime 1.9.1 and is watching a movie right now.
What version NF app are you using? Make sure it's at least v1.3.1 or newer.
yeah im running the newest netflix...i think its 1.4.1.... cant seem to get it to work.....and i cant get it the recognize the mod for xoom buttons either....debating if i should do a fresh install

Flash attached zip in recovery to gain working Netflix. Requires latest version of the Netflix app. Only tested on Honeycomb 3.1 (Prime 1.5). I can't swear this won't cause unforeseen problems....use at your own peril.
Note: The original file is renamed to .bak just in case!

Technical details:
Stole libnvomx.so from a Xoom 3.1 ROM and pushed to /system/lib/ on my Transformer. Duh.
If you prefer, you can manually place the file using Root Explorer or another file manager.

I just noticed it doing it on my dell streak 7 (his same patch worked for that too!)
but in all fairness my tablet was syncing data (just factory reset it so it's downloading tons of ****) I thought it was that causing it. I will check on my TF to see if it's out of sync as well
edit: sound is synced fine on my TF.
Not meaning to sound ungrateful, but Microsoft Security Essential keeps blocking this download as a known unsafe file?

Just to clarify; the audio was not synced while using "Pure root 8.4.4.5" but is synced using Prime 1.5.

Tested on Motorola XOOM and Telus HTC Desire works great and no more "There is an Update for this application" that doesn't exist in Canada.

Thanks for the post. Especially, with some other users (Sprintusa) 'modifying' the Netflix's APK into their own twisted versions and trying to pass it to others as the 'Official' one. LoL. Thanks for sharing this one straight from the Market.

you must be running stock... with tiamat 2.2 (US ROM), I get the device not supported, go visit ca.netflix.com/NRD message (when trying to stream).
works fine on my wife's xoom (stock).

Ever since I rooted my phone I've been getting flash videos issues like I hear the video but no video is showing the only rom that it seems to work fine are the sense roms but I don't like those right now I'm running 255 nightly cm7.
Does anybody have any idea why I might be getting this???

Make sure your Adobe Flash Player is updated to the currnet version. I believe the most current is 11.
First forcestop the Browser. Then using a root file explorer go into /data/data/com.android.browser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flash player/.macro media/Flash_Player/ and locate the config.data file and remove all permissions.
I just flashed the BuglessBeast new from for the Xoom and after downloading Chrome Beta and trying to open it I get an error of needing a minimum of android 4.0. What gives, im running 4.0.3

Eh - ya chrome checks for a "legit" OS to install on, and the newer one is real picky. There is a hacked one around that doesn't check in the Nexus S Forums or you could just change a few digits in your build.prop
find the line below - should be near the top, and adjust it to look the same as this:
ro.build.id=IML74K

since I still have not posted 10 times I needa ask here.
Yesterday I rooted & flashed my Transformer and am currently running Megatron 1.0.4 with TestyMEH 1.0 Kernel.
I also have seen the Voodoo Sound Thread, but I cannot get it to work with neither TestyMEH nor Guevor test16 - Kernel. The app constantly says that my device's kernel is not supported. Does anyone know why? Or is it just compatible with HC?

Well I just I just downloaded the one from the Play Store. In the app description it even says that it's compatible with the Transformer running a Voodoo-supported Kernel.

If you have Voodoo+ you can use the beta1 app from the Voodoo thread. If not the one from Play store it will not work on ICS yet.

Well, I flashed Guevor test 16 again and Voodoo still does not work, at least the app.
This Voodoo App. I don't have the Plus-version... and haven't seen another app linked in the Voodoo thread.
The one you have installed is only for Honeycomb. There is a beta for ICS but it will only work with Voodoo+ so if you don't care to spend a few Euros (well worth it) you will have to wait.
