my xoom is hk 3g version. Since the sim cannot be detected then i tried to flash back to the stock rom with cwm, but i failed.
1. flash to become MZ605 wifi version, storage became 4.1g
2.I tried again, but stuck in the red M logo
3. Again, I restore a rom (it said it is a hk 3g rom, unlocked). But after the restore was finished. it shows 3 screen as below only, which required password for proceed at last
After that i tried to restore other rom from cmw, all the same result. So, can i bypass this password screen. if no please tell me how can i recover to stock hk 3g rom? thank you.

hey guys,
I tried rooting and flashing a new rom on my friend's Nexus S and things kind of went south. The phone doesn't boot up completely. it shows the google logo but nothing more. i can get into bootloader and from there into the CMW recovery. The phone's from Fido and I believe it's an i9020a. Right now once i get into the bootloader it say's "carrier info: ATT". I'm too used to working with odin. I found the right version of the stock rom to flash but it says "error status 7. installation aborted". Can anyone help me fix the phone?

What rom did you flash?
Wipe data/factory reset in CWM. Fixes most booting problems unless you flashed a wrong rom.
yes i'm pretty sure i did flash the wrong rom. I flashed a miui rom here's the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1869369
I just need to flash the right rom but i can't find which is the right one. I already tried what you said but no luck.
I'm trying to get the fastboot to work. before i flashed anything it was working and my drivers on my mac would recognize the phone and commands would work in the terminal. now it just doesn't recognize the phone.
Tried looking everywhere, but couldn't really find anything. Any help is appreciated!
Alright some background info
I rooted my phone and unlocked the bootloader successfully. I wanted to do more, so I flashed TWRP onto my phone using JRummy's ROM Installer. I followed all the steps and successfully booted into TWRP recovery. I created a Nandroid backup and when I tried rebooting my phone it gets stuck on the 4G LTE boot animation.
I then tried wiping the cache etc. and restoring the backup I had just created. To no avail, the phone kept getting stuck on the boot animation. I've tried restoring the backup multiple times with no success.
On my last attempt I checked another box on the TWRP restore page, I think it was the VG5 verification or something. Halfway through what I though was going to be a successful restore, my phone reset and got stuck in the boot animation again. Now when I boot into recovery it's the stock recovery, not the custom TWRP as before. Tried clearing everything/factory reset and it still stuck on boot animation.
As a college student I'd like to get this figured out as soon as possible (hopefully before midweek, Friday at latest). If I can figure this out with your help I'll be very grateful.
If I can't find any other way, I'm willing to flash stock back using ODIN and seeing how that turns out. Also my home button is a little sticky so I doubt the Verizon worker would be able to boot into recovery or download mode.
Any suggestions?
For those of you TL;DR
1) Rooted phone / unlocked bootloader
2) Flashed custom TWRP recovery onto phone
3) Created a Nandroid backup from recovery
4) Tried rebooting and gets stuck on 4G LTE boot animation screen
5)Wiped cache etc. and retried multiple times. Doesn't work
EDIT: I flashed stock through ODIN and everything seems to be in order. I'll be trying to root and recover everything through TWRP again and if it doesn't work oh well. My end goal is to have a custom ROM
Maybe this will help you
Okay for your problem, if you can go to Download Mode and your recovery back to its stock form, your last option will be flashing it through Odin. There are several method and guides How to Flash via Odin. I will link to you all the guide and try it so your phone will be back to normal. Choose only 1 method
1.) [HOW-TO] Unbrick your soft bricked Galaxy S III (+ bootloader brick)
2.) Verizon Offcial VRBMB1 Odin Files, VRBMF1 Odin Files, and VRBMF1 Update Files
Must read first the guide and download all the necessary.
If your phone gets revived, you can try this method and choose TWRP recovery and update the recovery.

Note: You know the responsibility when you root your phone, I am not nor them who created this thread have responsibility to your phone, it is your choice.
Thanks for replying
I've got everything back in order now. I'll try installing AOKP or something
Your Welcome
That's good to hear

I have been trying for hours to install both TWRP and CWM recoveries, and my phone will not accept them.
It goes through the process, yet upon the reboot into recovery, it just starts normally.
the message on the phone is: Mismathched partition size (recovery)
I have a Canadian version of 4.4.2 stock rom on my Moto G.
It is boolader unlocked and rooted.
Any ideas how to install the recovery?
My ultimate goal is to install a rom that supports russian language.

same problem here! brand new phone, 4.4.2 o2 UK.
the mismatched partition size error is not important i know that.
have tried Philz (got it to work once, but after rebooting, had gone again. ever after letting it fix the rom rewrite on exit!). also tried stock CWM 6046 and 6047.
have tried entering recover immediately after flashing.
have tried flashing multiple times.
have tried different usb ports.
ideas please?
i've never had this much trouble with any phone (have experience over 3 years with Blade, G300, Xperia range etc.)
edit: tried using fastboot -S 0 parameter also, seems to make no difference. phone won't boot into recovery. this is slightly different to the problem i had with old phone, that one would boot Philz but not boot any ROMs. this one is booting stock ROM. if i can get Philz to "take" again i could try flashing CM, but i wanted to stay on stock, and just root it..
edit2: just started working! bizarre.. hope this doesn't jinx it. i wrote two recovery images with -S 0 and it works, not sure if because of that or something else. btw Philz won't backup the stock rom, odd - it just errors out, CWM standard works though.
hurrah! i rebooted normally, went back to fastboot and recovery still there. this is with recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.7-falcon.img
now i can hopefully root it..
wonder if my 3rd moto g will get any easier! this is a huge PITA of random non-workiness so far.
Dear all,
Yesterday I want to install a new customer rom, this is first time to install rom. Firstly, I unlocked the bl and kg oem, then the first issue is I can’t flash the twrp successfully, then it become brick now. (The Odin3 showed and stuck in VBMETA). Then I want to try use odin3 to flash the original latest official 5 package to recovery but still failed. (The odin3 stuck in set partition). I checked and searched the issue resolved ways,I tried many times and used original usb, it also showed !!!!)The photo I uploaded, please help me how to recovery to normal.
