Is it possible for the inspire to have a dual-boot option? I wanna have the choice between cm7 and miui without having to nandroid and restore.

Yes boot manager in the market

To go farther on this... do I need a new gold card to swap to a larger SD or is it just plug and play?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
A gold card is only for the initial downgrade. You no longer need a 'gold card' after you have root/s-off
At this point its just an sdcard

Alright cool. With boot manager, is it going to for wacky **** if I try to use a sense rom in one slot and an aosp in another? I tried using Android Revolution in one slot when my other two were cm7 and miui and rev wouldn't boot. It would get stuck on the white HTC screen.

Because you were using an aosp kernel. You need to use a sense kernel for sense to boot as well as the aosp to boot. But I believe using a sense kernel on an aosp rom will give you wifi, Bluetooth, etc

So it'd be better to have the sense rom as the phone rom and the aosp roms as the SD card roms?

THE MT4GS is NOT supported by Rom Manager. Do NOT choose ANY of the devices.

We need the s-off, root and recovery threads to be stickied. Why is that taking so long to happen?

So should we remove Rom Manager from the phone until it makes the list?
Btw...thanks for the info.
You can still use rom manager to boot into recovery after you have it installed

Just flashed Coredroid 2.4 to my Sensation a couple of days ago and it's working great and just wanted to know what Kernels are Compatible with Coredroid 2.4 for the Sensation.
flash Sense 3.5 rom now is the best.
I need to know what kernels will work with COREDRIOD
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I have tried most of them but not the latest ones. For me the bricked kernels were the best of all of them but I eventually reverted to stock.
Remember to always come from a stock kernel before flashing any of the kernels on coredroid for the best results and avoid boot loops. Nandroids are your best friends!!
Have fun!

I did the same, I was running Bulletproof but now I'm on stock.
Bricked kernel is pretty fast and makes everything smooth.

I always use bricked. Works with most custom rooms out there. I even changed custom rom that bricked kernel doesn' work.
With coredorid 2.4 I use to have bricked 0.91.
Now I 'm trying latest insertcoin with latest bricked after energy with 0.91.
Why did you guy's go back to the stock what was wrong with the other kernels
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I'm not sure what their probs were but mine would freeze up (white screen w\ Htc logo). I personally would stay with stock no probs to speak of with it.
I've been running CoreDroid since ver 1.4.
To install the stock kernel do I just download it and flash it?

Hi,
Switching kernels is an easy process.
Copy the new kernel to the root of your sd card, wipe cache and dalvik, flash like a ROM and reboot.
If you are not happy with the newly flashed kernel, you can restore to the backup you made before flashing it.
Ok thanks for the speedy reply

Its a sound fix that you flash in recovery, recovery is a thing you flash roms, themes, fixes, and otherthings in just Google inspire mod I'm not sure if u need a special version for ics <version of android your flashed in virtuous quarto rc3. If you like ics and or virtuous then maybe flash synergies rom rc9 it has all the fixes you will need for HTC inspire.

Working DL link at the top of page 15
Inspiremod will fix sound issue on any DHD based ICS ROM used on an Inspire. I am running IceColdSandwich on Inspire and it works very well. I switched from Virtuous Quattro about a week ago and I am much happier. Also, stock camera works in IceColdSandwich!
I want to back up the sense Rom and then install cm9 nightlies on my sensation.so first do I boot into recovery then go into back up?Do I use regular or advance back up does it matter?and then once its backed up then I go into install Rom from sd card correct?First I tap on the Rom download and wait until it competely downloads and then do I tap on the gapps and let that one completely download and then back out to reboot and reboot phone it reboots and then I'm done correct?would you please let me know if I have the procedure all correct.
