Hi,
Switching kernels is an easy process.
Copy the new kernel to the root of your sd card, wipe cache and dalvik, flash like a ROM and reboot.
If you are not happy with the newly flashed kernel, you can restore to the backup you made before flashing it.
Ok thanks for the speedy reply

I installed Android Revolution, and everything's fine, except for receiving pictures. They come to my phone resized, about the size of a thumbnail picture. The preview is larger than the actual picture. Any help?

those overseas ROMs don't properly handle our MMS. You can try downloading another text app like handcent sms and then use titanium backup to freeze the stock text app see if that works.
Ohh,i see. Can you help me find a Tmobile stock rom?

that didn't work for me on any of those ROMS my pics were still SUPER SMALL so I plan to just wait for CM7 or a USA made ROM
It worked for me, I flashed it right after I flashed the ROM I'm using now, that's the best way to do it. Or do a wipe, but it works

I think he means, you need recovery as it was PRE-ClockworkMod. Any threads?
(correct me if I'm wrong)
Then that's a different matter altogether. Will need to figure that out. Does that involve unrooting the device after recovery?

I'm going to do this tomorrow to update. It should work.
So did it work
- Backup everything using CWM and Titanium Backup.
- Install the RUU to get back to Stock Recovery. (You'll loose all settings/apps/SMS/etc..)
- Install your OTA update.
- Restore everything using Titanium Backup.
This should work for any of you who has CWM Recovery. If you already have Stock Recovery, then you're ready to go. You don't need to flash a new rom by the RUU.
It's not the root that is causing the problem, it is the CWM Recovery.
Keep in mind, flashing a RUU may brick your device, I take no responsibilities of any damage that may be caused to your device
I just discovered a new method, tried it and it worked.
Take a look at this.
Q how do you backup your entire rom with titanium backup. I want to install a new rom and then restore the apps and desktop the way it was on the old rom. Is any of this possible??? Thanks in advance

Nandroid is the only way to back up your complete ROM. Titanium is great to back up apps and settings. Nandroid, you need CW recovery to do this.

If I have flashed a Sense ROM that required an ext4 wipe/format, are there any steps I need to take (besides a data, cache, dalvik cache wipe) if I want to go back to an AOSP ROM?
