Any app that i can read online magazines with?

Where were you able to get a working apk for Zinio? I couldn't find anything on their website about android support. I really want to use their service, but without an app for my TF I just can't get myself to take the plunge.

Seemed to be installed as part of the 3.1 release (was certainly on the leaked version)

Well, that just makes me even more excited for the update.
(Just got the tablet end of last week, so I'm still in that hesitant stage before rooting / custom romming her)

It is on the 3.1 that Roach posted.
Did any of you guys used Zinio yet? I would like some feedback...

I used it on the iPad and it was good. Transformer is coming today so I'll post how it works here.

I would greatly appreciate it. I really enjoy me some mags, but it's a pain in my (you know) to keep track of all those print copies, not to mention how much space they take up.
Zinio looks like my solution, I just can't do it without an app for my tf you know? But yeah, if you could post your thoughts I'd be quite grateful.

Yeah it came with the 3.1 update and it works fine although the text has been a bit blurry a couple of times but it seemed to sort itself, there's not a lot of options either its very basic but i love reading my mags subscriptions on my transformer so it does me fine

Yea, was just going to post the link myself as well. I'm not sure it's exactly the same thing, but I love Pulse for all my online reading at least. Just about every site has an RSS feed these days

Well u have to download that they can be viewed offline. Also the zinio version that ships with the 3.1 update no longer works since there is a version on the market the one pre loaded in the tf101 is no longer supported by zinio and doesn't work is now u have two apps in the app drawer which is kinda anoying

That is really annoying. On another note, I kind of wish this app wasn't included in the first place. I have no need / use for it, but don't wish to root the TF, just to remove it. Although, I should admit that I have found most of the other "bloatware" apps that have been included quite useful (Polaris, for example)

Nook app
I've been using the Nook app for magazine reading. Images are sharper than Zinio in the few mags I've tried and the "Article View" is really useful. The only con is that the app is a little slow. Hopefully the 3.1 overclock kernels are not too far away (release the codes Asus, lol).

I have downloaded them, if mynwfi is off and I open sinuous its tells.me I need to sign in to use it, which I can't do if im offline

You could always just freeze or remove it if you have root

Gameloft spiderman, Asphalt 6 HD update for 3.1

Anyone who bought spiderman hd know if the update now works on updated 3.1? There were updates for a couple of xoom games the other day, Asphalt 6 HD working grear now with no force closing

Yes there is 1.0.2 came out last week.
I updated my asphult 6 today and its no longer force closing on my 3.1 update.

Adrenalin 6 won't let me play online though. Even with correct usernam and password it won't let me threw

I have 1.0.4 and it still doesn't work on 3.1 without crashing.
So I will rephrase what I said, there's no update yet that work on 3.1 without forceclosing

refresh last purchase link helps? Anyone tried n working?

1.0.2 is the latest for the xoom. Your version for another device?

Just bought the xoom version today and the info screen shows v1.07, would the game fc on launching before?

It would force crash after about 10 - 15 seconds after loading into a level. Enough time to punch a few guys.
Will you test and let us know if 1.07 works? Might be time to redownload.

Just played through the opening level and completed the battle against Sandman. Level 2 loaded up fine and I came out of the game to report back here.

I just redownloaded it from gameloft and it's still on 1.0.4

Strange mine is definitely 1.07 both in game and under manage apps.

Whereabouts are you? Im in the uk, the uk gameloft site might not be updated yet

UK based but I used a wap store link where the payments were in $ so could well be why I have a different version. Got hold of Asphalt 6 and couldn't get online with it but that's the least of my worries as I played the game I found that I plain just don't like it. Now uninstalled.

Does gameloft send an email if there's any updates? How does one know if one is avalable

biggest downside of gameloft being the Lone Ranger is all these different versions and lack of a centralized place to get updates, etc.

I will note that NONE of these games will work online for our devices since they do not natively have 3G capabilities (whereas the Xoom has this config). IIRC, I read that we would need to spoof this somehow if we're ever going to play Gameloft games online.

Yeah on the tf its an additional app.
On my nexus one out actually replaced the market. Guessing its not HC optimized yet

Looks like I will have to wait a little longer for google movies.

looks pretty sweet I guss well have to wait for the movies though:/ but is it just me or is it a little bit laggy?

go into settings -> applications -> all -> market -> uninstall updates

Does anyone who's used the new market know if Google have improved
a) The damned search engine
b) A way of differentiating "tablet optimised" or "universal" apps from phone only ones?
(I know it'll probably be redundant by the time Ice Cream Sandwich comes out - but still)

Has anyone tried it who is not rooted? While using temp root on my evo3d I don't have the options for movies but as soon as I reboot and loose temp root I do.
May be the same with our tablets. The movies only show without root.

Ok, I was able to verify that even without Root that the movies don't show up on the tab.
This is a bit frustrating.
On my EVO 3D that had temp root, the new market simply had no spot for the movies but I remembered that Google said rooted devices wouldn't be able to use that function. I then rebooted my EVO 3D and voila, I now am able to preview/rent movies on the market so I was hoping that you guys just had not tried that yet here since there is already permanent root for the transformer.
How is this not an option on our tablet? I don't get it.

There is an article that was written a couple of months ago about Google Movies which might be of interest for some people.

I have a rooted MT4G and the new market works just fine. I even have the movies tab, btw I like the new market, it looks great.

Its working better than the original.
You can unistall if you want to dont replace your original when you install so that means that you will have 2 markets.

New Netflix in market WORKS with vegan tab finally!!!!

Brilliant Corners + netflix runs better than CM7. Very happy now.
Now the only must-have app I'm waiting for support is Skype + video calls.

Confirm working on Froyo 2.2 TNT Lite 4.4... Unbeleivable! Downloaded from the Market. I have a Xoom and a Asus Transformer both on Honeycomb and Netflix doesn't even show up in the Market. I found you can sideload the app on the Xoom and it will work but the Transformer is not working at all. Go figure...

Yes, I was very happy to see this, I got the update on my Droid X and decided to see if it showed up in the market and worked on Brilliant Corners yesterday and and it was fantastic. Now if we could just get Plants vs Zombies and Peggle working on Brilliant Corners this tablet would be perfect

Running Vegan Ginger. Doesn't show up on market. Downloaded from another forum post. Says newer version available but can't find it when I click ok to download. Won't play video w/o update.

Ditttoes re Netflix 1.3 from the market on Calkulin+Clemsyn Version 5. All features are working.

Netflix works with Vegan-tab GE as well. I was ready to find a new rom but now with netflix working, I have no reason to change.

For the Transformer you will need to install one lib. You can take it from Xoom.
It's libnvomx.so from system/lib.

Netflix did not show up on the Market using Vegan-Tab GE. Side loaded it and works like a charm. Very nice!

newest version of netflix works on mine running TNTLite. gtab is going to get a LOT more use now...

Thanks Vlad_z, I am unrooted at the moment on both Xoom and TF so I am patiently waiting. I have it on the GTab in the meantime...

3.0.5 update

there is a webos 3.0.5 update that will be a bug fix and will make your touchpad perform better.

As I know HP hasn't officially released the 3.0.5 version, but the video doesn't show any compareable information between 3.0.4 and 3.0.5.
The 3.0.4 was tweaked and overclocked but the 3.0.5 not, so what shall we compare?
All in all the 3.0.5 version only fixes bugs and increases performance without any new, amazing features.

3.0.5 was actually the version of webos that was meant for the touchpad go. So this wasn't really an update for us.

Wrong. It's in the TouchPad early access forums for developers, I'm using it right now.

My touchpad updated fine, and now I have the CM7 on it and the only thing that I cannot get to work is the camera in skype..everything else I have tried is 100% functional
