The new netflix app in the market finally works in vegan tab! dont think anyone else has mentioned this yet so figured id mention it now
ENJOY!!!!
Vegan Ginger or Vegan 5.1.1?
Indeed it does, finally I can run Netflix on Froyo Roms!
Brilliant Corners + netflix runs better than CM7. Very happy now.
Now the only must-have app I'm waiting for support is Skype + video calls.
Works great on Beastie's, too!
It works on my Vegan Tab 5.1.1

Good to hear, I think the bigger news is it now works on honeycomb

not bad video quality for a stream, either. CM7 is quickly running out of purposes...

Confirm working on Froyo 2.2 TNT Lite 4.4... Unbeleivable! Downloaded from the Market. I have a Xoom and a Asus Transformer both on Honeycomb and Netflix doesn't even show up in the Market. I found you can sideload the app on the Xoom and it will work but the Transformer is not working at all. Go figure...

Yes, I was very happy to see this, I got the update on my Droid X and decided to see if it showed up in the market and worked on Brilliant Corners yesterday and and it was fantastic. Now if we could just get Plants vs Zombies and Peggle working on Brilliant Corners this tablet would be perfect
Running Vegan Ginger. Doesn't show up on market. Downloaded from another forum post. Says newer version available but can't find it when I click ok to download. Won't play video w/o update.

Ditttoes re Netflix 1.3 from the market on Calkulin+Clemsyn Version 5. All features are working.
Netflix works with Vegan-tab GE as well. I was ready to find a new rom but now with netflix working, I have no reason to change.

For the Transformer you will need to install one lib. You can take it from Xoom.
It's libnvomx.so from system/lib.
Netflix did not show up on the Market using Vegan-Tab GE. Side loaded it and works like a charm. Very nice!
newest version of netflix works on mine running TNTLite. gtab is going to get a LOT more use now...

Thanks Vlad_z, I am unrooted at the moment on both Xoom and TF so I am patiently waiting. I have it on the GTab in the meantime...

Thanks. Works.
Can someone still post the APK? I'm on CM7 and after getting the link from the web marketplace, Netflix downloads but it doesnt install.
Edit: A reboot was all I needed, it installed now.
Edit2: And this works flawlessly with HDMwIn on CM7
on Fresh 4, app loads and navigates, but doesnt play video. it acts like its going to, but then goes back to app.

Dude this has made my day great.
In somewhat disappointing news, it looks exactly like the app pulled from the LG phone a while back. I was hoping to see a bit more flash/streamlining.
The fine folks over in Thunderbolt development land would be grateful if somebody threw up the APK
Here is the .apk for somebody who wants it

Working great! Watching enter the dragon right now. Excellent quality over 3g.
Will not install over internet from Market.
Working!
I am running CM7 and I was able to install and am watching Kick Ass NOW!!

Where were you able to get a working apk for Zinio? I couldn't find anything on their website about android support. I really want to use their service, but without an app for my TF I just can't get myself to take the plunge.

Well, that just makes me even more excited for the update.
(Just got the tablet end of last week, so I'm still in that hesitant stage before rooting / custom romming her)
It is on the 3.1 that Roach posted.
Did any of you guys used Zinio yet? I would like some feedback...
I used it on the iPad and it was good. Transformer is coming today so I'll post how it works here.

I would greatly appreciate it. I really enjoy me some mags, but it's a pain in my (you know) to keep track of all those print copies, not to mention how much space they take up.
Zinio looks like my solution, I just can't do it without an app for my tf you know? But yeah, if you could post your thoughts I'd be quite grateful.
Yeah it came with the 3.1 update and it works fine although the text has been a bit blurry a couple of times but it seemed to sort itself, there's not a lot of options either its very basic but i love reading my mags subscriptions on my transformer so it does me fine

Yea, was just going to post the link myself as well. I'm not sure it's exactly the same thing, but I love Pulse for all my online reading at least. Just about every site has an RSS feed these days

Well u have to download that they can be viewed offline. Also the zinio version that ships with the 3.1 update no longer works since there is a version on the market the one pre loaded in the tf101 is no longer supported by zinio and doesn't work is now u have two apps in the app drawer which is kinda anoying

That is really annoying. On another note, I kind of wish this app wasn't included in the first place. I have no need / use for it, but don't wish to root the TF, just to remove it. Although, I should admit that I have found most of the other "bloatware" apps that have been included quite useful (Polaris, for example)
Nook app
I've been using the Nook app for magazine reading. Images are sharper than Zinio in the few mags I've tried and the "Article View" is really useful. The only con is that the app is a little slow. Hopefully the 3.1 overclock kernels are not too far away (release the codes Asus, lol).

Do you have any other suggestion for magazine reader?
digital magazine reader

I tried Zinio lastest version, it is slow to zoom and blurry. Some time force to close because ''low memory''.
Some one have any suggestion for good digital magazine reader?

The Hulu Plus app was just released. It says that only 6 devices are officially supported and the Incredible isn't one of them. I download the apk via droid-life and installed it on my Incredible running Synergy 06/16/11 nightly and it works just fine. I'm able to watch my TV shows. Here is the link to the post where you can grab the apk http://www.droid-life.com/2011/06/22/hulu-plus-lands-on-android-market-for-select-devices/
Works fine on the Incredible w/ Stock as well, just installed it, watching Spaced now.
Installed and works on MIUI 1.6.17.
Works on stock DINC
Thanks for the link. Installed and working fine on my stock build DINC but not sure its worth the monthly fee.
Not worth the monthly fee for me. The hacked Flash + Hulu worked fine, at least on SR 4.0. I'm using Synergy now as well though; haven't gotten around to installing a hacked Flash 10.3 + Hulu, but I know it's possible.

You can watch the non plus shows through the app with a much nicer interface. And that doesn't require a subscription.

So anything you can normally watch without a subscription you can watch with the new hulu plus app?

Doesn't seem to be working for me anymore, either. I'm on MIUI 1.7.15.1 with the latest incredikernel. I don't mind waiting for them to "officially" add support, honestly. But given how long it took for the app to come out to begin with it may be a while.

Seems nice but I'm more of an official guy, I'd rather stay on Froyo til the official GB comes out. Currently the leaks are pretty buggy and don't have PBJ/very much ROM support. Plus, the hacked version of Skype works fine, thanks for letting us know though.

It "works" on froyo, just not the front camera :-/ No reason you shouldn't be able to download it. The Charge is a supported device.

They say that GB has something for the front camera that Froyo doesn't. Which is complete bull**** because stuff like Fring works perfectly...the Skype devs are just making stuff up because they can't code.

I can't get it to work. Don't seem to have a video option
EDIT:: I got it to work by restarting the phone. Video options suddenly appeared.
Try mu builds HERE that works with many froyo FFCs. If your Droid has the same FFC API as the other Samsung devices, it should work. I also keep adding more devices so if it doesn't work on you, maybe you can give me files from your devices so I can try to add it.

Just installed the latest version that you linked to onto my SAMSUNG DROID CHARGE running Humble 1.51.
I called someone on a MAC and the video did not work (not sure what version of skype client was used on MAC side). The call worked but the video option failed.
I called someone on Win 7 with the latest Skype version (downloaded over the weekend) and the FFC video worked fine. Did not try the back camera.
Thanks for this awesomeness!!

Hey everyone who have the G2X I just downloaded NETFLIX on my weapon g2x rom, and it finally work. it been updated in the android market on september 22,2011 so enjoy people.
Nice. Netflix is running great on stock 2.3.3
Netflix on Stock LG G2x
Finally. I've tried everything to get this to work. The latest update did it for me. Thank you to whomever fixed it.
Weird. I've been using netflix since cm nightly 56. At first had to do buildprop mod, but someone came out with a working netflix app about a month ago that didn't need the buildprop mod. Just need cyanogen to add the hdmi settings so it will work on 720p tv's : )

The G2X will have 2.2 or 2.3 so yes... I went from the edited build prop with CM7 to the hacked version when it was out and it auto updated to the official version for me at the beginning of the month just a day after all the posts on here and news articles.
of course all of this is irreverent because when doesn't matter now that its here.
I LOVE having netflix and all the game console emulators via HDMI with the sixaxis app for the PS3 controller. to bad i cant get a truly stable rom or even half way acceptable battery life
Its kind of a big disappointment to have all the geek features Ive always dreamed about but the things that you think should be standard are missing. for example LED notification at the VERY least a charge status LED. i cant tell you how annoying that is when you dont expect it. lol
I'd rather have Skype video support.
