Netflix ARRIVED FINALLY for the G2X - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hey everyone who have the G2X I just downloaded NETFLIX on my weapon g2x rom, and it finally work. it been updated in the android market on september 22,2011 so enjoy people.

Nice. Netflix is running great on stock 2.3.3

Netflix on Stock LG G2x
Finally. I've tried everything to get this to work. The latest update did it for me. Thank you to whomever fixed it.

Weird. I've been using netflix since cm nightly 56. At first had to do buildprop mod, but someone came out with a working netflix app about a month ago that didn't need the buildprop mod. Just need cyanogen to add the hdmi settings so it will work on 720p tv's : )

Weapon g2x just became my main rom. Loving, HBO go, Netflix, hulu, a2dp and HDMI working with 720p. Loving my phone now even more.

Works here, OTA GB with root.

NOw we just need them to release it to the Canadian market

sweet i love weapon g2x this was the only thing bugging me

I was looking for a new rom to flash. It looks like I'll try weapon first. Then maybe gxtreme or trigger if I'm not happy. Just glad for the netflix fix

Netflix has been official on 2.2 and 2.3 android phones since the beginning of September hasn't it?

Not for the g2x

The G2X will have 2.2 or 2.3 so yes... I went from the edited build prop with CM7 to the hacked version when it was out and it auto updated to the official version for me at the beginning of the month just a day after all the posts on here and news articles.
of course all of this is irreverent because when doesn't matter now that its here.
I LOVE having netflix and all the game console emulators via HDMI with the sixaxis app for the PS3 controller. to bad i cant get a truly stable rom or even half way acceptable battery life
Its kind of a big disappointment to have all the geek features Ive always dreamed about but the things that you think should be standard are missing. for example LED notification at the VERY least a charge status LED. i cant tell you how annoying that is when you dont expect it. lol

I'd rather have Skype video support.

as much as i would really like that, (brought it up today in fact) i still think a charging/notification LED should be standard.

Netflix now works on CM #74

don't know if anyone else reported this but I just flashed cm nightly 74, tried out neflix and it worked!
I didn't edit anything just freshed wiped and installed the nightly
if your coming from 7.0.3 make sure you do a full wipe as nightly 74 is 2.3.4
best of luck, it looks beautiful on our beautiful screens
Streaming works??

works perfectly in my rooted mytouch 4g running CM nightly #74
I don't know if you will be able to find the app on the market but i loaded from titanium back up and since i been trying with every single nightly since the app was announced I was pleasantly shocked that it actually worked on this one
By golly he's right.

Ahhh, so it's not on the market... then how did you get it?
the market...
i think its hidden from other phones that are not the ones which are supported,
but i had previously (in another nightly) edited the build.prop to change my glacier's name into vision... which made the netflix app appeared... i downloaded installed it and backed it up using titanium back up...
then i installed the new nightly and restored the app

I've got it running too #75. Does anybody notice the frame rate of the video playing back? Looks like it's not running the full frame rate. Looks like it running at 15fps?

When i was on eViL Dee's it looked over HSPA as it did over Wi-Fi, when tried Cyanogen(mods) it looked like an older SNES playing videos. I'm sure they're working on it and it'll come out smooth in the end but for now i'm going to rock eViL's.
works smooth on Royal Ginger 2.1; comes bundles with the ROM, no extra stuff needed.
I got it working on my Vibrant. Playing Netflix on it is super smooth and the screen just makes it awesome.
Netflix customer service said that the mytouch 4g would be officially supported soon.
i don't understand how the g2 can get support first over the mytouch 4g..

Hulu Plus APP Working on Synergy Rom

The Hulu Plus app was just released. It says that only 6 devices are officially supported and the Incredible isn't one of them. I download the apk via droid-life and installed it on my Incredible running Synergy 06/16/11 nightly and it works just fine. I'm able to watch my TV shows. Here is the link to the post where you can grab the apk http://www.droid-life.com/2011/06/22/hulu-plus-lands-on-android-market-for-select-devices/
Works fine on the Incredible w/ Stock as well, just installed it, watching Spaced now.
Installed and works on MIUI 1.6.17.
Works on stock DINC
Thanks for the link. Installed and working fine on my stock build DINC but not sure its worth the monthly fee.
Not worth the monthly fee for me. The hacked Flash + Hulu worked fine, at least on SR 4.0. I'm using Synergy now as well though; haven't gotten around to installing a hacked Flash 10.3 + Hulu, but I know it's possible.

You can watch the non plus shows through the app with a much nicer interface. And that doesn't require a subscription.

So anything you can normally watch without a subscription you can watch with the new hulu plus app?
I can't see any way to use this without paying for Hulu Plus. Am I missing something?

Not working on DInc with CM7 (think I'm on the 6/15 nightly). Wonder why and if there's a workaround....
Getting device not supported on mine running inc deck with tiamat. Any known workarounds?

Doesn't seem to be working for me anymore, either. I'm on MIUI 1.7.15.1 with the latest incredikernel. I don't mind waiting for them to "officially" add support, honestly. But given how long it took for the app to come out to begin with it may be a while.

Indeed, might be a bit of a wait. I'm wondering if the galaxy tab 10.1 workaround might do the trick but I'm not sure of the repercussions of it on gingerbread

HBO Go

Anyone out here use it?
If you have HBO and your carrier is listed you can get this app to get access to HBO's library of movies, series, specials etc on your phone anytime! I used it this weekend and it worked flawlessly!
Its on the market and its free!
Are there any limits on what you can watch. Is all content and programing available???

same here....no video.....only audio....cm7.
I'm running stock and faux's kernel exactly for that reason, everything works and its the most stable setup for me.

Yes, it works great on my stock/Faux kernel setup!!!
I watched true blood on my stock rooted g2x with this app. They have all episodes of game of thrones. The app is free because of your subscription to HBO on whatever provider you have. So if you don't have HBO then you can't use it.

Works great here on EB Froyo 1.0.5 and Faux's Froyo Kernel. Don't use it that much, but when I do, it's great!
Yup, just upgraded to EB CM7. No more HBO Go. Seems like a CM7 issue
HBO GO VIDEO Fix where is it?
HBO GO worked for me on Froyo 2.2 stock G2X. Ever since CM7 upgrade to 2.3.4 no HBO GO, now someone tell me why we can alter build prop and get Netflix but no one has helped resolve the HBO GO issue? I am very interested in getting the video fixed. Sound is perfect, but will some list a video fix or repair?

Netflix now available...

You (I, at least, running rooted stock) can now go to the Market and download the Netflix app. Enjoy!

Netflix on Thunderbolt & Incredible not working
Running OMFGB on the TB and CM7 on the Incredible. The new Netflix does not seem to be working from the Market. I uninstalled it and re-installed the leaked version in order to be able to use it again.
Anyone have a fixed version of the new Netflix that I can use?
TIA
Confirmed. Watching Toy Story 3 over LTE with unrooted TB.

[Q] 4.0+ Sucks on my G2

Ok I'm going to try to provide as much information as possible in order to help me troubleshoot this issue. My computer is running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I've got a tmobile htc G2. I bought it used off of a friend and it was previously rooted and IIRC it had 2.3.7 gingerbread on it? not 100% sure. Since then I've updated the Clockwork to 5.0 from 3.0 and I updated the rom to an ICS 4.0.3. I tried virtuous at first and I believe now I'm using virtuous quattro RC3. I don't know If I'm still in an early version or what but I hate it. My apps (mocospace) crash constantly, even from switching from portrait to landscape, even the browser version of mocospace. I even tried downloading opera and dolphin and the same thing happens. Also with youtube, when I watch videos, they are not videos, they are more of a slideshow, I've downloaded adobe air and adobe flash but the videos are still in frames. I'm looking for one of two things, A Stable ICS that will work on my G2, or to go back to a previous version of android that will work fine like it used to. this version on this phone is driving me nuts, I constantly have to power off/on my phone to reset a Blank homescreen issue, or the icons will be blurred. thanks in Advance! - Andy

Good God, Seriously?
If it sucks so bad flash something else. Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=758 and look for something that suits your fancy. *****ing in a general discussion section without using the search options will not get you any help. I stumbled upon this post on accident and thought "Eh, why the hell not". Qualcomm chipsets like those in the Vision and Glacier and most HTC phones don't have stable ICS yet due to driver issues. READ READ READ READ then READ some more then flash. Otherwise you'll be this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwleOote5M0&list=FLiSUReotYhEITuOWRb6Hb8w&index=11&feature=plpp_video
I was actually reading up on some different roms while I was at work tonight and figured I would try out both the Andromedus, and the CyanogenMods. I Do appreciate your help though, and [email protected] the video. When I bought this phone off of a friend it was already rooted and had 2.3.7 on it I believe, I just wanted to try out android 4.0. I'm guessing though like you say its still too early to find something awesome. I don't even mind this one so much except that it seems like itcant handle any graphical apps or procedures. once again thank you
Yea, the GPU on HTC phones doesn't have native ICS drivers yet. Good luck chief
