Is there an app that works well to give speed camera alerts using the google navigation?
I use Trapster and that works fine for me
I'm interested in alternatives as well though.
Cheers

Alright. Here's my new project, integrating CoStar Technologies' BlueSTAR 2010 module into my 2008 Pontiac G8 GT to work with my Nexus One.
http://www.costartech.com/pb/products/bluestar.html
I was going to wait for the car dock but what could be better than pushing a button on my steering wheel/rear view mirror and using the voice search function of the Nexus One? Not sure if I'll get system wide voice search, I kind of expect it to only work with the voice dialing functions of the phone but either way I'm really looking forward to it. From my understanding the A2DP streaming isn't fully functional yet but that will be really sweet once they get that part implemented. I'll keep everyone updated with how it goes and also provide some pics and videos. These devices are supposed to work in all 2002 & up GM vehicles that have OnStar.
I am getting ready to order one too for my G8, gonna use it with the G2.
From what I see on their twitter posting, they are beta testing writing the caller ID to the DIC, so might get that soon as an update.
Hope it works as well as advertised.
Any updates on these projects? Interested for my Impala
I gilot mine and installed it. Only works with built in voice dialer from HTC. Looks like the voice search app does not publish itself as Bluetooth.
The device works great but the voice dialer can be finicky.
Have not found a solution yet, but can tell you Vlingo does not work well through bluetooth.

good luck...............
They released an update. It now has caller ID on the DIC.
Now if only the voice dialer worked better on the G2

Works decently in my g8, recently switched to an evo and still works great with cm7, a2dp soon
I am pretty sure the problem is the phone. The G2 uses HTC's default voice dialer instead of Google's voice control, and it is just not as accurate.
Will the audio work through the bluetooth to the stereo to listen to music?
No..
the Onstar integration is calling only.. the module has a 1/8" jack thatallow you to plug into an aux port.
Given that there is no bluetooth stereo streaming that remotely sounds as good as a wire, its better to connect the phone w a cable..

any recomandation for gps?
google map is really suck-.-
compare to iphone papago
Sygic Aura isn't bad. It's not free though.
That's the first I've ever heard that. Google maps navigated me 3000 miles without a hitch. I was playing music from my phone the whole time too. Using Google maps and the stock music player, it automatically dims the music to announce directions. Plus I swear when I search for the website of a place(like a restaurant) I use Google maps instead if Google, because it's more accurate.

My gps works perfect. With all ICS ROMs, with all GB ROMs. Navigon select, sygic or googlemaps.
Coming from WP8 (Lumia 920) so would like to know what's the best apps are for the following:
Just Money (economy app)
Just Shopping (shopping list app)
Calendar
Camera apps overall
Music Player
Camera Zoom Fx
PowerAmp and the rest idk

Cal: Any.do is a nice alternative if you dont like stock.
For notes and lists i find Google Keep to be good.
I would continue to use stock camera for the hdr+ effect.
BUT, there is no universal 'best app' for any category ofcourse, it's very subjective. Try a bunch from each category would be my sugestion, and settle when you are satisfied.

Music - Play Music gets the job done perfectly. PowerAMP if you need your headphones booming.
Camera - I use stock camera, and for edits I use Pixlr Express. Camera Zoom FX I didn't like the focus settings. Made me regret buying it, somewhat.

For the camera I like both procapture and stock camera
I use Nex Music+ music player in combination with Viper4Android. It's awesome, a bit like Google Play music but with way more settings and customization

Thanks for the help guys, it's gonna be fun going back to Android (at least for a while). I missed customizing my home screen and all the other stuff Android brings.

I used to use power amp all the time but I really hate the new design and how clunky it feels compared to the old design. The stock player also looks good and works really well.
For the other things I use stock because it's nice having the ability to sync with my Google account and have everything in one place. I say avoid 3rd party apps unless you really aren't happy with what stock offers. Simplicity really makes everything easier.

Try Shuttle for your music player. It both looks nice and "just works"

I know you didn't ask, but EvolveSMS is an awesome texting app if you're looking.
For calendar I just use Today since all I care about is a clean widget.
Camera I use stock since the 4.4.2 update.
Notes I use a combo of Evernote for work and Keep for stuff like grocery lists.

Thanks, yes I will probably try some 3rd party sms app, I think I used ChompSMS with my HTC Desire so many years ago. Evernote I already use and I will try out Keep.

I used the free version for quite a while and just paid for it because it's imo the best calendar app.
My list:
Calendar: Business Calendar
Shopping list: Google Keep
Camera: stock
Music player: Fusion / PowerAmp (not sure which one to keep yet)
Camera Zoom FX
Poweramp (music player)
But You should pay for that...
google play calendar is good...
MortPlayer is (for me) the best free Music player on Google Play
Alright guys I've been using almost every voice call app in the google play store that let's me talk to my friend and play Nova 3 at the same without crashing. So far I had no luck. Everyone of them either crash or disconnect. OoVoo seems to be OK but the voice quality is bad. Skype just flickers my screen. So can you guys give me another good voice call app you use or know is good? Something I can use to play games like Modern Combat and Nova.
Thank you.

In my opinion Viber is the best voice calling app.
You may try these apps.
