Okay, so I'm running Sky Ice Cream Sandwhich and I have done everything correctly I believe. Every once in a while, Ice Cream Sandwhich launcher would FC and sort of put me in this annoying loop that would bring me back to what I was doing before. It's not that big of a deal but I really like the launcher and want to continue using it.
I upgraded the launcher to version 4 (or 1.4, whichever it is) because I prefer that look instead of the previous version (the black bar at the bottom looks very ugly to me and throws off everything).
Is there a way to stop the launcher from force closing?
go to setting manage application and clear data.
if you still have fcs uninstall and install it again.

Still FCs :/ Guess I gotta use something else
Hi,
This is my first post and I just recently updated my phone to the new Sky Ice Cream Sandwich rom. First off I thought this was a great rom and it is... problem is I experienced a few bugs I was wondering anyone could help me out with. First off I keep switching to the text input to swype in the settings but after a while it switches off to the Android keyboard or the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard free that came with the rom. Second thing that keeps bugging me is that I like to have my music playing with full functionality of the phone but when I clear my ram it shuts down, It has never done that before. If anyone could help me with these issues than it would be much appreciated.

Keyboard & language and change your keyboard to swype. Set you taskiller or whatever to ignore the music app your using. More than likely in the app settings also neither are really bugs more of gripes your title is misleading

I was talking about the main task manager. Not a app like advanced task killer. You can't call out certain app to not clear
A. i have a serious pet peeve about the names of these threads.....the rom you are on is NOT ice cream sandwich....
B. why do you think you need to clear ram? free ram is waste ram....
anybody come across with the FONT error? i mean like if you are searching apps on play store (market) and suddenly the word become blur and unreadable. but after i reboot the phone it works just fine. Any comment would be appreciated .
This is a known problem of ICS ROMs, which is expected to be fixed when HTC release ICS for this phone.
Sometimes restating the Launcher works, but a reboot is guaranteed to clean things up.

I just rooted my kindle fire running ice cream sandwich . the only reason I decided to install I cream sandwich was cuz YouTube had a different layout .. Can't seem to find it. Need help

There is not an app for Youtube on the appstore, you are going to have to go through the Google Play Store since your kindle fire is rooted. However if you would rather use the appstore, there is an app called Freedi Youtube Downloader, I believe, you can play videos and download from Youtube.

Here is a copy of the Youtube app with the old layout.....it came from one of the CM10.1 ROMs. It is the version where the main screen is the rounded layout

I'm trying cyanogenmod 10.1 for the first time and was on ICE DS before.
Now in android 4.2.2 the included mail app differs from the one which was included in ICE DS.
Which app was in ICE DS and is it possible to get them working in CM10.1?
The one in cm is not as friendly as in ice ds. for example; only showing the unread mail from several folders.
The mail app in ice ds is part of the whole sense framework /environment, so I'm quite sure it's not possible to get it working on any cm rom.
You could look at mail Apps from play store, maybe there's something there you would like better than the stock cm one.
