[Q] HTC Sense 3.5? - General Questions and Answers

I hate samsung's touch wiz, it's slow and laggy, even on dual core phones
I am planning to buy a new phone this holidays and I am planning to get HTC this time, I heard Sense 3.5 is good, but i haven't tried one yet.
Thoughts?

On my personal opinion Android without HTC Sense is boring.
Sense 3.5 is just amazing!

Got sense 3.5 with the new Android Revolution HD ROM and it's really nice. I really think HTC has got it working. Still I miss some features like variable icon size and possibillity to alter number of rows and collumn on the home screen. I get that with Launcher Pro though.

Sense 3.5 Tutorial?
I'm currently using Sense 3.5 from Remix 3D and I love it. Does anyone know of a good Sense 3.5 tutorial so I can be sure i'm not missing out on some cool features? Thx!

Both Sense 3.0 and 3.5 are nicer than CM7 or MIUI in my opinion. The problem comes with stability. I had issues with occasional reboots with my stock Desire and now with AceS v3 (and especially v4) I'm getting a lot of complete freezes.
MIUI does exhibit the problem, but it's not as nice as Sense IMHO

[Q] SENSE 3.0 HTC Wildfire

Since the new Sense 3.0 is ported to the Desire HD, I was wondering if the new HTC Sense can be ported to the HTC Wildfire.
I really like the new HTC Sense, so that's why
And if not because of the hardware limitations or what ever ->
Thats never gonna happen. Sorry.
Yeah the screen resolution is far too limited, and the processor is not exactly top of the range. If you are so desperate for it, the only feasible option at the moment is buy a device that supports/cant hack it on to
Check out custom ROM SFMv1.1.
It has ported Salsa ROM to WIldfire with Sense 3.0. Work is still

It's not exactly Sense 3.0. It's only the lockscreen and phone that is ported, everything else is still sense 2.1

Is Sense UI getting better?

I've noticed with Sense 3.0, it was sluggish.. 3.5 seems so much faster, I also see a lot of Sense development for 3.5 just wondering what's everyones thoughts on Sense 3.5

like the bliss mod on it like the one in rcmix 3D. didnt really like sense and got out of it once the senseless and aosp roms were out. came back to try out 3.5 and i loved it mainly because of all tweaks these hard working devs are able to put in
The speed improvements came when HTC released their 2.3.4 update. Made everything a lot smoother. The 3.5 ROMs that I've tried are still slower than LeeDROiD and Pyramid 3D, which are still Sense 3.0

[Q] [ROM] Android Revolution HD™ 3.6.7 XE | 4.1.7 Sense 3.5

Since I don't have enough posts to post in the direct thread for [ROM] Android Revolution HD™ 3.6.7 XE | 4.1.7 Sense 3.5 | High Quality & Performance, I'm going to post this here.
I've tried both the 3.0 and 3.5 ROMs that Revolution HD provides, and personally I find the 3.5 ROM to be a bit slower than the 3.0 Sense ROM, but I'm not sure if it's just me being crazy or it actually is because 3.5 is still considered beta. To people who use this ROM, which do you find better/faster? 3.6.7 XE or 4.1.7 Sense 3.5? I'm looking for the best performance and speed for my phone.
Thanks.
Sense 3.0 is faster than 3.5 & has better performance.
Im using 3.6.7 XE (flashed it today, was previously on 3.6.5) and it's been working perfectly.
Yes, 3.0 is totally better in my opinion.
So what is fundamentally different between 3.0 and 3.5 ? I know one is 2.3.4 and the other is 2.3.5 but what are the advantages of 3.5 over 3.0 ? Thank a lot guys

Hi,
3.0 is always going to be better than 3.5 in terms of speed.
But it is also a question of how it "FEELS" to the user.
I find a much better "FEEL" to 3.5.
Even though it is still a beta,I prefer it,but that is a personal observation.
Go with what YOU like.
Hi. For music lovers sense 3.0 is much better, because is on XE base and music quality is way better. I like sense3.5 too, but personally I prefer the music quality.

In my opinion, HTC Sense 3.5 sucked. Greatly.
It's slow, a bit buggy (expected) and the damn facebook for sense kept getting medieval.
That plus the far superior audio performance on the XE rom: Get the version 3.

I thought the majority of the performance (+bugginess) issues with 3.5 were mostly due to it being a leaked beta and that it should be just as solid and fast as 3.0 (or even better) once HTC resolved the known issues. Is there something else behind the slowness in 3.5 that I'm missing?
BTW... I too "FEEL" better using the 3.5 Sense. I find the email and contact interfaces to be much easier to use and I use them much more than playning music.
Appreciate your input,

Thanks for the replies, I installed the latest version of 3.0 Revolution after installing the latest 4.1.7 and there is a significant difference when it comes to speed (3.0 > 3.5).
I honestly prefer 3.0 over 3.5, seemed more stable. 3.5 also didn't look too different from the 3.0.

Hi,
you are right about the beta issue, but having tried both,I too feel more comfortable using 3.5.
I use ROM cleaner to get rid of all sorts of crap and bloat.
That in itself helps to run it smoothly and without lag.
So I'm happy.
You pay your money(or not ) and make your choice.

Same thing. I run @ 1.118 and all my games like Trials and Speed 3D all run fine and I use 3.5. But same thing I have a mp3 player if I want music so I don't use my phone for that.

Sense or CM? which one do u prefer

which one do u guys prefer and why?
me i stick with SENSE because
when mms is received data auto turns on and turns off when done.
refocus camera while recording video
I use sense, for me is fast, stable, battery friendly and i have all the utility from an HTC device, also the camera is awsome, the autofucos and the 1080p video without glitches...
No reboots at all, no problems, full funcionality...
Elegancia 4.1 version 3.6.0 Public Beta
Sense may be more stable but the vanilla experience of android is so much better.
i prefer sense with all utilities of HTC device.
I prefer Sense. Sense looks somewhat professional whereas CM Roms don't. You'll find CM on almost every devices, but will find Sense on ONLY HTC devices.
Sense is only thing that makes difference than Other.
Sense UI 10/10

signed :good:
I have tried various roms but so far i must say that i prefer CM over sense (because of all of the modifications you can do)
I prefer sense (ARHD to be specific) mainly because you don't see a "working/ not working" list because everything just works
Sense is cooler but I'd rather have the latest updates than sense if HTC is going to bullsht their way to bankruptcy

How do I speed up my Sensation?

I just got my Sensation after coming from a Nexus 4 that died, the first thing I notice is how sluggish it is, I am on ICS with Sense 3.6, Maybe its just because I am used to a N4 but this thing feels like walking through mud, I think Sense has a lot to do with it.
If I put a custom rom on it will it help? I had CM10 on my N4 is this available for the Sensation?

Custom ROM can make a lot difference. ICS and Sense 3.6 is slow. If you want to have brilliant sense experience then you should flash Sense based custom ROMs. I am currently using vipers 3.1.2 JB with Sense 4+ and its fantastic. No lags, ultra smooth. Try it and yes CM 10 is available for Sensation, but trust me Sense suits the sensation best.
