Chainfire 3d and all the plugins for THD games

I know that there is already a chainfire thread but i find it better if i made a guide with all the plugins(instead of just nvidia)
What you will need:
a computer
Chainfire 3d, his xda page for the app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087427)
the plugins it supports
nvidia: http://www.mediafire.com/file/pme09ev45tvxuu6/libGLEMU_NVIDIA.zip
qualcomm: http://www.mediafire.com/file/yflfd6wwhule66x/libGLEMU_QUALCOMM.zip
powervr: http://www.mediafire.com/file/9jlvzcd2kaiw9ti/libGLEMU_POWERVR.zip
make sure that the plugins are on the ROOT of your sdcard
go into chainfire app you will have to install the initial chainfire driver and then your phone will reboot automatically
then go back into chainfire and press install plugin
it will search for the plugins, install all 3 of them
then whenever you want to change which plugin you are using go into the OPENGL settings and press use plugin
it will then allow you to choose one of the 3
thats it
remember if a game doesnt work on one of them doesnt mean it wont work on another one trust me

^ the true reason why i made this thread nobody can find the plugins hahaha and look the first person to use this was a GT-I9000 model user!!

I'm just using nvidia plugin and it works fine not maybe try a different download or OC to 1.2

Nothing works. My nvidia plugin just makes the game look like crap and messed up textures.

To get it working use nvidia plugin and select the bottom 2 options in opengl settings and it will run spoon smooth with rich graphics this phone is awesome

that is why dungeon defenders is running fine on my phone

Wow. U made a day of searching much much shorter. I was determined to get this working after getting the premium version and bang bang racing. w00t. Ill be sure to hit thanks when on a pc.

Maybe I'm just being a noob, but I have chainfire all set up, it found the nvidia plug in, but I can't download games. I get a pop up saying something about a "non-tegra device detected." The only option is to click OK.

Dungeon defenders second wave updated!

they added cross compatibility with ios so we can play with iPhone/iPod touch players now. Also included is a new "Chase mode" camera. I believe it is still free on market for those who don't have it. Check it out

This new version seemed to fix the performance issues of the last version.

I downloaded this again hoping that this version would make it for a better but how come dd for xperia play isnt really xperia play optimized? Anyone of you there experiencing the same.

Close and open the control pad while in game.
It's a bug.

Since updating its now asking me to re-download ALL the content again, over 800mb of it!?

I don't think the menu is xperia play optimized but while in the tavern/ in game close and open the gamepad and it will work.

That is odd, didn't happen to me when I updated. Try clicking download..sometimes it scans the sdcard and only downloads what you are missing( if anything at all).

Is it just me or this game seems to be a bit laggy although it's optimised for xperia play.

When I start the game, even if the controller pad is slide-out sometimes its xperia play optimized and sometimes not.. it confuses me how to start the game always on xperia play optimized.
Anyone had the same problem?

I have the same issue, game seems to run very choppy and not smooth at all. Its almost frustrating.

I OC'd to 1.5 GHz with setCPU ondemand.

Theres gotta be a way to get this game to run better without rooting and overclocking my Play. I'm going to screw around tonight, maybe I had too many text messages in my queue (that was making mine run crappy last time on other games). The graphics while good are nowhere near the EA games and they run perfect.

So clearing up a bunch of my messages, clearing the cache and rebooting the phone seemed to work. The game runs WAY better now, still gets a little choppy at some spots, but is playable (unlike before).
I hope they release an update that clears it up a bit.

Chainfire 3D

Ive downloaded the pro version, along with the plugins. No matter which plugin i use, I never notice any different games in the market. NOVA, Modern Combat etc. Are still not showing up. Yes i pressed the 'fix market' button still to no avail. Has anyone gotten this to actually work with their device?

I had chainfire3d on my captivate and loved it.
I am having all kinds of trouble getting it to install on my skyrocket tho.
I have tried downloading from the market and from the www page. directly to the phone and transferred from usb.
NO matter what I cant get the pluggins to install. I am root. so doesnt make any sense.
I remember needing to punch some code into terminal emulator with the cappy and i have searched and typed a few different commands into VrE again to NO avail. Getting kinda bummed about it now as its been 24 hours since root..I also installed the 2.3.6 rom on our forums last night.
SR was delivered wednsday with 2.3.5 stock from the Amazon . penny sale.
Anyone kn ow what I am doing wrong?

reinstall your phone and try again. I have it installed on my i727r and it works perfect

Can you side load the app, and use whichever plug in necessary to run properly?

Gonna try that now, still wondering why fix market still wouldnt let them show up. Anyway, will report back

You google the game and find out which device it was made for. Also many of the gameloft games aren't on the market. Search for shadowgun.

Why are guys even using chain fire? I switched to the skyrocket from a Dell streak 5 with the original snapdragon processor and all my old gameloft games work and most others as well, even shadow gun runs flawlessly from the market with no mods at all. I'm completely stock, not even rooted on 2.3.6

Because we have games that need it.

You should atleast root it so you have CPU controls and app.controls because it saves on battery

Galaxy on Fire 2, Pinball HD, and better versions of Fruit Ninja, Backbreaker, and others. Also, even though it's not a compatibility thing, installing Chainfire 3D made the textures in Riptide GP load at a much higher res.

What are your settings for galaxy on fire 2. Mine crashed to home when loading the campaign

I don't know about you, but... it doesn't say xperia x10 2.3.3 up on the top there.

[Q] SkyRocket Chainfire 3D issues

Hey guys, I recently rooted my phone in hopes of getting Chainfire 3D working. I brought the pro app and for some reason it's not doing anything. I've read that I would need to download some plugins but I cannot even open the app itself. So does that mean I have a bad root on my phone? I do see Chainfire 3D in my apps manager but I can't access it. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks.

Well unfortunately issues persist. I was able to install Chainfire 3D on my Skyrocket, but I'm afraid it doesn't work. I downloaded all 3 necessary plugins, refresh the market,but I still can't see the game I would like. I'm looking for 9mm & Backstab.
Anyways, I did get the games by "other means" if only just to see if this app works. Well, it doesn't. Backstab hangs and forcecloses right after the intro scene and 9mm will not download correctly, it states that the game is incompatible for this device and to seek a refund.
I was fed up at this point and deleted the game and files. I would like to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible. Gameloft is having a sale on their games, and I would really like to pick up NOVA 2, Backstab and 9mm but how? I can't even see them on the market...
I'm starting to think that Chainfire 3d just doesn't work on the Skyrocket. Anyone else having issues? Please help?

Chainfire works with no problems at all, the device is not compatible error you're getting has nothing to do with chainfire and can easily be corrected by a simple edit to the build.prop file to change your device id to another supported phone

That's interesting. I haven't done that. Is there a link you can give me with instructions? Also, is there a build profile that works for all Gameloft /Tegra2 games? And is there a risk in changing it on the Skyrocket ? Sorry for sounding like a noob but I am determined to get this working.

Ok. Well I downloaded Rom Toolbox. I noticed I can change my build.prop. Now I have tried this and it still doesn't work. Market does not show up with the games that I would like to purchase. Am I not changing the build.prop correctly? I'm using the Nexus name, should I use a different one for 9mm & backstab? At this point just a link towards a tutorial would be extremely helpful. Please help.

hmm game keeps crashing in GB on my Gnote with chainfire3D set to none. and then when i did get it to load it was missing ****. on the screen. graphicly , any ideas??

On gb 2.3.6 unrooted
Works but lags a bit but as the game progresses lags gets rarely.
So 90% working sometimes even 100% on stock gb unrooted device. But as game hav progressed the lag has got rare for me fantastic game

Crashes on LPF. Tried chainfire also.... didnt help!

I got it running like glass in GB. had to reinstall. The graphics look great. But the controls suck

Runs great on GB here. Adjusting sensitivity makes it pretty decent to control.

It is lagging for me as well? Anyone found any solution?
Overclocking CPU/GPU didn't really help.
