Try and keep up guys..
HTC Sense on the Nexus S 4G? Oh yes!!
yeah, i mean, i wish he had a link to a download or something, id post it and see if some of our DEVS could tackle it.....But hey, im sure he probly wants to keep it all to himself/herself untill its final......cool look though, kinda a change in flava, i like it!
hopefully there will be a port for the 3G always wanted to try sense.

It is not sense 3.0 as the OP said. Although it is indeed nice

Some guys at ACS ported htc sense to ns4g. Xda member qbking77 has a video on YouTube.

So we can port ics into sense.
Oh and it looks better. (See myns warm twoPointtwo, its sex on framework edits.
And just an option. Kind of cool having those wigwams and lockscreen.

On reflection, I have only seen Ice Cream Sandwich. I guess it must differ from the 'witch' version you refer to.

I don't agree. Htc sense is a beautiful, user friendly and blazing fast in the right hands. I'm not too crazy about alpha stage anything, just happy I can flash it and I'm referring to ICS.
I want as many UI as possible that includes motoblur, HTC sense, aosp android, etc. Lack of different UIs is the main reason I miss my OG Evo. I ran twice as many UIs on my Evo, crackflasher heaven.
Sent from my Android 4.0.1 Linux S 4G using xda premium
Actually yeah..the more the merrier..even motoblur which i hate but would be fun to try it for like a week...plus the number of quality roms is the reason i bought a nexus...but it seems nt many uis available...
This is huge. If we can get this ported successfully we would have the basic framework to port tmartin builds warm 2.2, and xxvirusxx builds. So far the only sense Rom for the nexus is for the gsm phones, and that goes beyond just editing the build prop to work.

No. ICS is Googles Android OS. CM9 is a modded version of it.
ics simply refers to android version 4.0. Cm9 is based off of android 4.0 aosp but has many added features and tweaks.
Just like cm7 is based off of android 2.3 (gingerbread) aosp.

I think his question is really what is the difference between the two. Which right now I don't think there is much. I think it's just about porting and getting everything working. Maybe there is some small optimizations done but nothing heavy. I think cyanogenmod is working on adding features as we speak and will most likely release a big beta with all of them implemented vs small amounts being added over time

Well for the g2x there isn't much difference because both builds are still broken lol. I know on my galaxy nexus there is a big difference in cm9 and ics feature wise.

Probably the coolest one in the works is the ability to root and unroot your phone via settings. The new music app is nice too. There's a lot being added every week. Its not complete or even close to being but it is looking awesome.

So I suppose this might be getting a little off topic but what is the point being able to root/unroot via settings?

I'll prob use the OTA debloated/tweaked ICS build that is going to be developed regardless

Hey guys, I recently went into Verizon and played with the galaxy nexus. Its a nice phone, but what's so fantastic about ICS? I thought it was too dark, and really slow (at least the display model was). I've used sky-ics rom and I had to go back to StockMod.
So why exactly does everyone want it and ask about it? Personally I prefer touchwiz, its a lot more intuitive. The biggest difference I saw was the widgets displayed in the launched and the recent app tray thing. But its not like a game changer.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but just curious.

sky-ics is still gingerbread.
the main reason i want ICS is that its a whole UI overhaul. it looks smooth and fancy. lol. i had ICS on my captivate and LOVED it. i cant wait to have ICS on my skyrocket
ICS is built for dual core.
ICS is amazing

ICS is great. I love it on my xoom. Chrome beta is also worthwhile, much better than the stock browser. Also lots of little things make me want ICS.
I mean why not, having gingerbread is to mainstream.

i was searching around on google and came across this link for the canadian site of the samsung infuse and our phone is listed as a galaxy s device
so does that mean we have the milestone gs 2 ?
That's the Rogers version. Notice the R at the end of mode.It is considered a Galaxy S, but I don't think the ATT version is considered one. Even though it basically the same phone.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
I think Infuse is more like Galaxy S1.5. Infuse has similar hardware look to Galaxy S2 (super amoled plus screen, back cover design, etc) but has similar spec to Galaxy S (512 ram, single core, etc)
