CrystalPyramid with unity v3 beta 2 kernel. Beast. Keeping it for a while, definitely.
In fact iam using CoreDroid Sensation, because it is well looking to me. I hope it will be better soon, I used it on my dhd and I like the eye candy as well.
I actually tried Android Revolution HD but I don't like the stock style.
I think CoreDroid Sensation will be very fine with the Kernel from LeeDroid and some gimmicks like panorama what iam really missing this time. Why htc don't implement such a function into stock? weird.

I'm using Leedroid and it's great but I've still got lag (or, more precisely, it's not smooth) when I open the app drawer/personalise drawer.
Does anyone else have this on any other roms?

I saw the sneak peak video of CM7 on the Sensation and I'm super excited. The only thing that would hold me back from using CM7 on the Sensation would be the camera. I loved CM7 on my Desire, but the camera was terrible.
Sticking with LeeDroid for the time being but I am curious to see how that ROM based on 2.3.4 runs.

Guys what is the best aosp rom so far. In terms of speed and abscence of bugs?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Premium App
I think Saga LBC Mod and Virtuous Unity Miui has the best looking UI n faster but lots of bugs
Oh sorry. U r asking about non sense based ROM. Only MIUi is going to be best after some days as it becomes stable. Superkid is working Hard. Let's wait.

yep. MIUI is the best for now.
ZuluGen is great too, also i LOVE Hydrogen
but you should go for MIUI.
MIUI is one of the best, bugs are minimal.

I have been using Cyanogenmod for a while now. I have found it to be really stable. The latest version (NeoLojik's v1.0.2) has much improved battery life and all the configurability of CM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1240177
Using ZuluGen now. Got no bugs at all since I used it.
Battery life is also very well. And it based on CM7.
By the way, need to install some application to use T9 keypad.
Overall, very superb.

I can 100% agree with runagate17. I switched from Stock Rom 1.47 to this CyanogenMod and it feels like having a new device in terms of speed. I encountered no stability problems yet. You can also apply a sense theme, if you need some eye candy.

ZuluGen also based on CyanogenMod, so, can totally agree with you too.
I think all are becoming quite mature with minimal bugs. Just have to try each one and see which you like the most.

Best advice, i completely agree.
Omg, i wasnt in this part of the forums for years
Well, in my opinion your decision shouldnt be about who is faster or who is not. all non sense roms here ( at least miui, cm and zulu) works fast as hell.
The idea is the gui, zulu have a really nice gui that looks and fells like android, cm have a pretty standard android gui and miui have a more ios look
Your choice!
MIUI and ZuluGen from my experience.
Both have great battery life and minimal bugs.
It's most likely a choice of which one you like the feel of most.
just lookin for a rom like Hydrogen..
is there one without bugs tho.?
Agreed! MIUI is a great rom, and is very fast! just takes a bit of getting used to as its completely different to sense!
Anyone flashed the latest MIUI? Does it have any bugs?

I know this has probably been asked plenty of times, but I'm bored of cyanogenmod (again) and wanted people's opinions on the best as we seem to be getting a lot of official support now. Which sense rom is your favourite and reasons why please?
I've had my fun with ICS and am now waiting for a stable release so no ICS recommendations for ICS please.

Choice of ROM is a very personal thing but at the moment I am using Endymion v3 and am extremely happy with it. It just seems to work, and I use it heavily for work - Bluetooth, Wireless, Calls, SMS, Camera, GPS etc

i also use endymion v3 if i had the delight to use sense
I use Endymion 2.2 with the fixes from 3.0. I only like the stock look, so don't feel the need to theme and lose 200+mb.
It's all personal preference!

+1 to endymion v3 here too!! great sense 3.5 rom, excellent battery life and awesome tweaks!
The only gripe I have is the the sense 3.5 dockbar, I find it ugly and somewhat blown up, especially with the text (applications, personalization)
kept changing between the two-button bliss bar and stock 3.5 bar and couldn't settle on either
hope someone would make a sense 3.0 /2.1 dockbar mod for it!!
Is there a way to sense 3.5 rom has a normal font for the screen of our Desire S? Small fonts is something that annoys me a lot, and see how Rhyme rom only has something like that, but it seems that unfortunately proxuser left development of the Rom :/

However when I went to use a Desire S in the store again, 2.1 sense, the icons and fonts were massive!! I was like wow!!

I switched from ARHD to OrDroid and I freakin love it. Sense 4.0 is awesome and runs smooth on the Sensation 4G. Just dump the Sense launcher and use something like Apex or LauncherPro instead.
Try them all and see which one you like best. They are all good. Try sense and senseless Roms. My personal favorite is Elegancia after trying many.

I love my Sensation XE now more than ever after I flashed ORDroid v5.0.2 + SoundBoost + Equalizer + faux kernel.
I don't know if its just me but the beats sounds way much better than when I was on ARHD v6.6.3. The only downside is I get a better battery life on my last installed rom.
As the previous poster mentioned above, use other launcher like Apex or Nova.

Same here. Although, I like the Sense launcher, to me 3rd party launchers with Sense feel really out of place.
On a side note, I hope LauncherPro gets updated someday. It was excellent on Gingerbread and Froyo on previous phones.

While I mostly agree, I need to correct some things....no offense.
Virtuous isn't AOSP, it's an AOSP "experience" based off sense base. True AOSP right now is Opensensation which is (CM9).....also as listed in your last suggestion cm9 (opensensation) isn't that customizable right now.
Also, while many suggest to try them for yourself......to someone who just rooted their new sensation, this can be a long process, with plenty of time consuming reading and configurations....
So I think it's best to offer the OP a starting point:
Pure stock like sense (3.6) - ARHD
Pure Stock like Sense (4.0) - Don't know if there is one, most I've tried are too laggy, and have too many bugs....but try any one to get the feel...maybe Coindroid
Pure AOSP - Opensensation (I don't even notice the bugs as listed)
Pure MIUI - There isn't one
- MIUI.us and MIUI android are based off sense base
- UltimiuIcs is based off AOSP, but developer is finishing exams
Given the above, they offer a starting point (with MIUI and sense 4.0 a starting point just to see what it's about) IMO, I'd wait for MIUI AOSP based if you like that, and wait for bug free sense 4.0 if you like that.
The rest of the roms, sense and AOSP are just variations on the starting points above.....with some being tiny, tiny visual variations (the rest under the hood), and others quite a few modifications.
As far as my onions:
- I find sense too laggy, I mean our phones can handle it....but of you want battery life, your gonna have lag.
- I recently moved to Opensensation, and can't even compare the speed....even underclocked, undervolted....while I do miss some sense features, they don't even compare to the speed.
- I recently tried "eyecandy" AOKP, based off AOSP....and there is a lot of tweakability and theming works as I'm sure more will be available.
As far as kernels.....if running sense, I'd use bricked, if running AOSP, use stock kernel with rom, or faux kernel.
Hope that helps for a starting point....and NANDROID...NANDROID!
That way you can easily revert back if you don't like one or get into trouble.
Cheers!

Sent from my Sensation 4G using XDA
You can try miui, open sensation and cm9. I'd recommend open sensation as blue tooth and audio routing works there.
If you don't like aosp or aokp, try virtuous inquisition, though it's sense based, but you don't see/experience sense anyway as it's all removed.
And oh, use the search button next time. These are pretty basic stuff which you can get info from reading and searching the various threads here in xda.

Take VI for a spin!
Running ARHD with NoSense.. best there is..
Try aokp. It was pretty fun. Ran it for quite a while as a daily driver. I was on official build 38.
Try smartdroid, it's sense based but many sense parts were removed, just like VI there's no sense to see

is very stable, you can customize everything, and is THE FASTEST ROM for sensation. even more than sense 3.6...
cm9 here. it's great.
What's NoSense? I have ARHD running, but I don't see any links to NoSense on the tweaks page.

+1.....
All working good for me.
On a side note, I don't believe that using the search bar to find a good senseless rom is a good suggestion. While I do believe in searching for problems or fixes.....the aosp/aokp world can be quite confusing with all the roms out there. Considering that ones opinion is a valuable resource in making a decision out of many......I see a thread like this a valuable resource.....as I also do with the opinions on best rom threads.
Cheers
