I think that is the my location symbol.

That is the google location symbol I believe. It is letting you know that google is using your location when they preform a search or if you are using an app that needs your location.

Since you're not using a standard theme as I see it that icon could easely be your GPS icon.

If you turn off Verizon and Google location services, under the location and security section of settings, the curved bars next to the symbol will go away. The symbol itself will not go away unless there is a change to what is displayed in a custom ROM or you edit it manually with root permissions. I believe it is displayed to let you know that Emergency 911 location is enabled and all mobile phones are required to have this enabled. IMO Verizon did not need to take up space on my notification bar to tell me this.

This is correct , the crosshairs are the e911 location, and the waves or whatever you want to call them are gps location.

Network based location will also activate the waves. So if you have any of the three forms of location services turned on it will display the waves.

Looking for a widget that shows cell signal.

Subject petty much says it. I've seen this in a post before but can never get name of the app.
Basically I want to hide my status bar but still be able to see signal strength and battery status.
Thanks in advance

That's my home screen... the Top widget is Andromax. Gives you both of what you want and a nice time display as well.
The signal meter can show Cell or Wi-Fi or Auto (WiFi when on, Cell when WiFi Off.)
Thank you do much

Yep, Launch-X. It's another great widget, BTW. I don't have a lot of paid widgets, but that's one I gladly ponied up for.

Is there a way to add data delivery option to one of the home screens?

Is there a way to add data delivery onto the menu. I only have the 200 MB plan and I would like to be able to turn it off like I can the wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, and air plane mode menu. I currently have to go to the settings and select battery and data management, then data delivery and unchecked it. I tried to add the shortcut of wigit or shortcut but there was none. Thanks

you can if you use a custom launcher like launcher pro or adw. you can then set short cuts to activities.
I use zd box, they have an widget to enable/disable the apn

I use data enabler widget
I'm using droidwall also, it will help you configure your iptable ^_^ not really a firewall but it will not send out any data if you don't let it ^_^
On my old phone (Aria) I use widgetsoid to toggle my data. It worked great.

CityID.APK Needed

Helps me out a lot for work but can't seem to find an active link to download it. Can someone upload one or provide a working link. Thanks.

Area Code Tracker -
For those interested in free solution that provides similar results; I'd suggest you look at the Area Code Tracker app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...S5ncnVpdGEuYW5kcm9pZC5hcmVhY29kZXRyYWNrZXIiXQ..
From Google Play: Area Code Tracker is a tool that provides live information on the area (city, state, time zone) of the caller. You don't have to call any number or look it up, this information is displayed in the status bar automatically and disappears after the call is over. It is very useful for users who receive a lot of calls from all over the country and want to know exactly where the user is calling.

Don't use 'phone info' app with Jelly bean!!

I installed jelly bean rom, everything worked great but I went into Phone Info and noticed the preferred network was set to global. I went to change it to LTE/CDMA/EvDo, way wrong move! App crashed and I ended up with the a circle and slash symbol. The phone info app got set to WDCMA preferred. I was somehow after a few tries able to get CMDA PRL AUTO to take and get 3G back. Messed with it for an hour, rebooted, reflashing the modem, turning radio off and trying to change it but I couldn't even get it back to the Global setting. As a last ditch attempt before nandroiding backup to ICS where I hoped phone app would once again work. I turned off the phone, ejected the SIM card, turned the phone back on it gave me the (SIM card error, this phone can only be used for emergency, etc). While the phone was still on I push the sim card back into position (not sure if it was necessary to keep the phone on or not, it didn't detect the SIM when I inserted it. Anyway I rebooted, and BINGO 4G was back!! Took a quick peak Phone Info app and my preferred network was set to LTE\CDMA\EvDo and I quickly closed the app before I touched anything again!
This is changeable in the settings mobile data on jb leak 2

Yeah that's there, but I think you still need the WiFi calling app that comes with it to enter your address information (unless that's changed).
So how you get there ?
I don't have that anywhere

Anyone lose HD calling after enabling Wi-Fi calling? Even after disabling it I've noticed calls with my wife are no longer HD.
